Last week I brought in my 2006 Mazda 6 station wagon for a complete routine maintenance check only thing it needs was an oil and lube change. Mike is very professional, pleasant and honest which is a rare quality. They even provide free shuttle service which is a virtue. The other time was last May when I brought in my 1999 Mazda Protégé and that car needed it a lot service work done and at a fraction of what the dealership would costs me. Thanks for providing a very professional service.

Sturken was not only able to fix the check engine light (which a previous mechanic tried twice unsuccessfully), but they fixed some other serious issues with my teenaged son’s car. It’s an older car with 100K miles. We were hoping to get another year out of it, but, thanks to Sturken, it will go another 100K no problem. The customer service was phenomenal. They communicated every step of the way, explained the problems, quoted me, and didn’t pressure me to do any work. They truly had the safety of the driver – my son– in mind. I’m so thankful I was referred to them. A mechanic you can trust — such a wonderful thing! They even fixed some problems I didn’t address with them. Small things mean a lot. They returned it shiny and (almost) new. The car purrs like a kitten. My son was thrilled and said it was like a new car! Thanks to all you wonderful people at Sturken!

Great automobile repair shop to bring my vehicle in for repair and maintenance. The owner and workers here are nice and known about auto repair. I recommend to anyone to bring their automobile here for services.

When my sister was visiting from Colorado, she needed a small repair to her RV. We went to Sturken. Steve took great care of my sister. He went to some trouble to come up with a replacement part, did a class job, kept us informed every step of the way, checked the RV out in terms of battery, etc., answered all her questions (she is a brand new RV owner), and had us on our way to King’s Canyon within an hour. I am not easily impressed, but this was a pretty extraordinary customer service experience. Would definitely recommend them again.

It would seem that Mr. Sturken’s modus operandi for dealing with negative Unilocal reviews is to berate the reviewer with ridiculous arguments. Perhaps he never learned that the customer is always right, and if someone has a complaint about how you do business you should show them respect and offer to make it right. Not saying I expected anything other than perhaps an apology, nonetheless it’s clear from all the other Sturken responses to negative reviews that he doesn’t value his customer’s opinions unless of course they leave glaring 5 star reviews. Stay away from this poor excuse for a business. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

I initially contacted this shop by email about my 2002 chev trail lite 22′ RV. I asked if they could work on both the engine and the coach. Steve replied yes. I then asked if I could email him my list of items requiring attention and routine service work. Again he said yes. He replied that he would call me the following night which he did. We talked about my list and he was confident his shop could address all items. I brought my RV in the following day. Steve spent almost one hour with me reviewing my list while in the RV and just chatting in general. I will say that I just had a good feeling about him and his shop. At one point when Steve stepped away, I chatted with one of his service guys who seemed very proud to be working there. I left my RV for a few weeks while I was away. Steve kept me up to date on the work to be done and cost. I approved all work and picked up my RV on ⁷⁄₈. The total bill, while within acceptable range of the estimate, was about 10−15% higher than I would have expected for the work that was done. Others have commented on the expense. Product quality, reliability and customer service are what one pays for. I cannot yet comment on quality and reliability since they are a function of time and not enough has passed. I can comment on customer service: professional, responsive, courteous and attentive to detail. All were exceptional. As a female, I never felt patronized. I had questions (related to the work they did as well as general operational ones) and he answered them respectfully and more than once, if necessary! Examples of their attention to detail include noticing and correcting (at cost): the coach door latch, the coach bed slides and that I have some LEDs installed. Upon leaving with my RV on the 8^th, Steve said to feel free to contact him with any questions. I will take him up on that offer as the need arises.

I wrote a review a few years back, and it seems to have disapeared. Sturken Auto body is a scam. The first thing they asked me was how much I paid for the car. Me being trusting I told them. They made sure to charge just under that so the car would not be totalled, and Steve would get the buisness, or $.
They took much longer than I anticipated, and when I finally got the car back it was definately not the same. Firstly on the ride home my hood was sort of floating in the air. I had to align it tighten down the bolts myself. The paint was spotty, the car was returned to me dirty, and upon checking under the hood, and body nothing lined up.
I had another friend use Sturken auto body as well. She had the same result. He over charged her way more than other quotes. Almost the full value of the car. She was not happy, and felt ripped off. Since she knew his family she did not complain. It would not have helped anyhow. They did nothing when I did.
Sturken likes to think he’s a major player, and a big shot. He’s all about getting your $. If your interested in true valuse, and quality go elsewhere. So many honest Mom, and Pop shops out there. I have no idea how he got these positive reviews. Well he does beg for them. If he was interested in quality he would stay off Unilocal,take off that stupid suite, put on a pair of overalls, and monitor the craftmenship of your workers.

I don’t usually write Unilocal reviews but I think the exceptional customer service received from this business deserves a review.
Overall, this body shop well exceeded my expectations through great customer service. Joan, the fellow who took care of my car repairs, went above and beyond what was expected of the minimal amount of work that had to be done. I brought my car in to get repaired for a minor accident and Sturken was the body shop that was recommended to me through Mercury insurance. All that had to be done to my car was a minor fix up on my bumper. The results and extra service that went into the repairs were phenomenal. This was a well deserved review and a great thanks to Joan. I would definitely recommend Sturken Auto & RV Repair.

Moderate-​sized Auto & RV repair shop located on Mabury Road near Berryessa, right along the 101 freeway. I brought my vehicle here for repairs after getting rear-​ended, as they work with Mercury Insurance (as of 7÷22÷15, they are no longer a Mercury approved partner) & have so many positive reviews on Unilocal :)
Joan was my contact here, who was always professional, personable, and helpful, as well as upfront & honest with me. He communicated with me via phone and e-​mail, and I also received automatic ‘vehicle update’ emails regarding the status of my vehicle’s repair. I was also helped by Mike on a few occasions, who was also attentive & friendly.
My car was finished on time and looks great. Sturken Auto Body will coordinate with your insurance company & try to make the entire process as hassle-​free as possible. They also gave my car a basic wash & cleaned the interior prior to my pick-​up, which was appreciated. Pricing seemed reasonable, although I’m not sure, as their estimate to make other repairs on my vehicle (unrelated to this accident) was double what I was quoted by another shop… Cost wasn’t a big concern for us this time as we weren’t paying, but it’s definitely something to note. We decided against getting the additional repairs, but would’ve loved to have had everything fixed here, all at once, if their estimate had been within our budget.
Overall, I still had a pleasant experience and would consider recommending this place to others. It would be even more convenient if they were open, even for a few hours, on the weekends for pickups/​dropoffs.

Over the years, I’ve worked with several of the RV shops in the Bay area, and I can attest that there are none who perfrorm the level of service of Sturken. This winter I undertook several enhancements to my motor home, and I can’t speak highly enough of the craftmanship, the attention to details, and the overall excellence of this shop. It was well woorth the hour and a half drive to and from the shop, and I am so glad to know a place that cares about the final product as much as I do.
For example, I had the latest Dometic 15,000 btu air conditioner installed last year at another shop. It required a new thermostat. Apparently, when it was installed, they crossed some of the heater wires, so when i turned on the heater, cold air came out of the ac unit. Problem solved by Sturken for a minimal charge.
Anothe upgrade is I wanted a new convection microwave installed, and found one I liked at Best Buy. Upon removal of the old unit, Sturken discovered inadequate support for a spec microwave. No problem ultimately, as they constructed a mounting system that left the rest of the kitchen intact. Again, at a nominal charge.
Since purchase, my retracting step was a bit wobbly when stepped on. Prior repairs added this piece of rebar or some screws, and never solved the problem. Sturken rebuilt the step, installed LED lighting, removed non-​function wires, and now the step operates like new.
For the bathroom, I wanted to replace the original plastic sink with a more modern stainless bowl and faucet, as well a green formica conter to match the rest of my kitchen, and several days later that was done, exactly to spec with extremely clean, nearly invisiable grout lines.
There were a half dozen other repairs and upgrades that were done, and in every case, I gave Steve my request and he took detailed notes. He would then email me with status updates, photos, and options for meeting my needs or recommended solutions. I have never received a level of service quite like this, and can only say that he and his team met and exceeded my expectations in every regard.
These folks care about the work they do, they all operate as a team, and have a great attitude about the vehicles they work on and the people they deal with. I am pleased to give them my business and appreciate their commitment to their work.

I am a new RV owner. Recently I had an accident and took my RV here for repair work. Mike was the name of gentleman that helped thru this process. Not only did they do outstanding work, their customer service was excellent. Mike kept me informed weekly and took care of some other concerns I had. On the day I picked my coach up, Mr. Sturken made a point to introduce himself and inspect the work that had been done. His only concern was to make sure I was pleased. I won’t be taking my coach to camping world again. Thank you Mr. sturken and Mike for a job well done!

Sturken has helped us so much with our new RV, fixing the propane, tires, putting in a new faucet, and, best of all, put in a beeeeeautiful new floor.
And he teaches us stuff! And he is really conscientious.
I spent hours looking for the floor material, but when I told S. Sturken what I wanted it to look like, he found it.
I’ll try to attach a picture somehow so you can see that he made the edges look like jewelry.

Took my Subaru in for body damage back in November 2014. Almost the entire right side of the car was scratched up, with a dent near the rear wheel well too. Mike took a look at a it and gave me an estimate pretty quickly. Unfortunately due to the holidays the repairs took about three weeks (longer than they expected), but Mike was really friendly and honest about it. He also called to give periodic updates without me asking. The repair was perfect, and I’m pretty sure the new paint is more durable than the scratch-​prone Subaru stuff. It even feels thicker!
Best part was, Mike off-​handedly told me to bring the car back in three months so they can apply wax on the fresh paint for protection. I didn’t expect them to actually do it, but he did and gave my car a nice wash and wax just two days ago. Definitely recommend these guys!

I was recommended to Sturken by my insurance company (front bumper was cracked after a fender bender). Total cost for them to fix, paint, etc and replace one of the headlights was $ 1787. I paid my deductible to them and they took care of the rest with my insurance. They also spruced my car up.
I also got extra work done: Oil change ($ 57), replaced both wiper blades ($ 19), replaced battery ($ 171), replaced air filter ($ 54).
Everything looks great and the staff has excellent customer service skills. I called several times to check up on my car and they were very nice and responsive on the phone and in person. They let me leave my car there for a couple extra days so I could pick it up on my day off.
Only unfortunate thing is that they are closed on the weekends.

Sturken saved our backside! We r 47 ft of motor coach and trailer when we had loss of power on I-​880s. We called several shops, no one would look at us. When I called Sturken they said they would look at it so we limped in. We pulled in @ 2:30, by 5:30 they had us fixed and on the road. Great service, they genuinely care. We could have been stranded in San Jose for days waiting for someone to even look at us. We were able to maintain our schedule saving us time and money. Thank you Sturken!

A few weeks ago I got read ended pretty hard. I was having a hard time with the other drivers insurance company, and going through a stressful time in general. Mike, the manager made the whole process so much easier for me! He made sure the insurance company paid for all the damage (it was a hard thing to do since they thought I was making it up), he offered to set up the rental for me, and was just easy to work with. In the end my car looked great, it was even cleaner when I picked it up than when I dropped it off!
Now I’m planning on taking my car back there for my breaks (a problem I already had). Thumbs up.

We just got our motorhome back from Sturken and couldn’t be happier. Our RV went to the «Sturken Spa» where it got nipped, tucked, and pampered! Steve and the gang spent several hours looking at the RV making a prioritized list of things to be repaired so that we could decide what we wanted to spend the money on fixing and which things we would take care of later.
Steve was able to locate a barely used refrigerator/​freezer unit that fit our space which saved us $$$ because we didn’t have to purchase a new one. The trim on that fridge wasn’t exactly the right fit or color, but Steve made the necessary adjustments so that it looks like the original. He also gave our RV technology upgrades with new TVs, DVD player, etc.
We called periodically during the time our RV was at the shop to make sure they didn’t forget about us and I was always given the opportunity to talk to Steve himself. They did find various things that needed to be fixed, but they didn’t recommend replacing all of them with new parts. For most of them, they were able to do «McGyver» fixes, thus saving us money.
All in all, we were very pleased with the treatment and service we received. After having a horrible, hair-​pulling experience with the «other guys» in Almaden, we are glad to have found Sturken for RV repair.

Someone hit me and their insurance company sent me here to get my car fix. My entire driver’s side was dented and scratched. Joan helped me from the very beginning and was there all the way until I had to pick up my car again. He always thoroughly explained every procedure done to my car.
A few weeks later, I got my car back and it was in better condition than when I originally bought it. Joan completely detailed my car and even my boyfriend noticed the huge difference when I got it back. I only reported a few things since I’m not that good with cars, but Joan was able to pick every detail I missed and took care of it for me. Great customer service and great work.
