Lee has been working on my 2004 E500 Mercedes for last 3 yrs. always good service at reasonable cost. When possible he gives me a couple of options by price. Good mechanics for imports are specially hard to come by, Lee is a keeper. Highly recommended.

After 20 years of looking for a trusted auto mechanic, I found Sunshine Auto Service that provides not only accurate diagnosis but also fair price, and great workmanship.
The 3 previous mechanics gave me quotes for fixing a light malfunction displayed on front panel with the price range from $ 200 to $ 400. But it cost me only $ 10 at Sunshine for replacing old light bulbs, and the malfunction problem was gone.
Actually I was a little nervous when I read a few bad reviews on Unilocal before going to Sunshine the first time. It’s been three years. I’ve had several major repairs at this shop, and I couldn’t be happier because the prices are unbeatable, and the best thing is that we’ve driven our cars for thousands of miles without a single repair needed a redo.
If you want to find a mechanic that provides accurate diagnosis, fair price, and reliable workmanship, I highly recommend you go to Sunshine Auto Service, a trusted auto repair shop.

My engine light turns on. Bring my Mercedes into this shop. Once the codes are ran, the owner says the cost of the repair would be 3500.00 and that was a good deal. I said I don’t have that kind of money and he quickly says he takes a charge card. I call Mercedes dealer and they said the fix/​part that the owner/​mechanic wants to replace is not worth working on the car. I didn’t give the error codes to the dealer because they want to run their own diagnosis. I recalled another Mercedes repair shop that another recommended. I call the shop and give him the codes (took a picture of the codes that Sunshine ran) and he says it is just the magnets and parts and labor would be 295.00. Yes, you heard that right. My car is now working like a charm.

Quang charge toooooo much!!! He troubleshoot my transmission for $ 400 and hold my car for 7days. then call me if I want to rebuild my transmission cost $ 3400 for 2001 BMW. I said no and he ask me to pay him $ 400 for checking the car problem that I know it’s transmission failure because its showing in the dashboard. I called towing for another $ 50 and bring my car to another auto shop for rebuild Trans cost me $ 1,700 only with warranty. This is not a good auto repair!!!

I give Quang a big 5 stars! Not only is he an expert in all things Mercedes, he is fair, professional, and treats the customer with respect. I have an older unique MB and Quang is never too busy to listen and provide advice. I am fortunate to have found this shop minutes from my office. Highly recommended and truly trustworthy.

It might be a little per-​mature since Sunshine hasn’t actually repaired my car but they already exceeded my past experiences. I was recommended to Sunshine by Phil at Pacific Tire Outlet in Milpitas because I was getting an alternator /​battery error. I called up Sunshine and Quang answered, I explained the issue and how I was recommended to him and he said to come on down. I drove over during my lunch break at work, Quang stopped what he was doing hooked up my car to the computer, pulled all the diagnostic info and showed me on the screen all the data that came up. I had an alternator code however since the error had already disappeared as well as the noise so he advised that I should wait until one of the parts actually failed. He said that the belt tensioner in my model (2005 C230 Kompressor 1.8L) are notorious for failing and its possible the cold weather in the morning caused the funny noise because the tensioner hadn’t warmed up yet. He didn’t charge a dime, gave me the diagnostic immediately and I was on my way. Other mechanics would have had me leave the car and charged me an hour for the diagnostic + likely recommended some parts be changed. I’m very happy to have met Quang and discovered his shop. Will go back again, satisfied customer.

I gave this Auto Service Shop 1 Star because of the service and the answer of one the mechanics in summer of 2013.
I brought my car there just to change a window modulator and when I picked up the car about 2 – 3 miles down on 101 freeway my car got over heated. So I brought my car back to the shop and the owner/​boss asked one of the Mechanic to look at my car and I asked «what happened it worked perfect find before never an issue of over heating», without any inspection or further research he replied: «its like cancer one day it’s fine the next day you have it.» I was like what? at least there’s gotta be some wear and tear or something that’s gotta trigger before the car just collapse.
I was at their mercy and after they did an inspection they told me it was going to take $ 2,500 and I had no other choice because I needed the car for work so I paid, but it left me very disappointed by the service and I’m not truly convince that my car had an over heating problem before I brought it into their shop.
I would advise people out there to get a 2^nd opinion 1^st before agreeing to anything that this shop has to offer.

Found Sunshine by accident on Unilocal 11÷31÷13. Thank God. Spoke to Quang over the phone about an S service for my 2004 Mercedes C240. Now I am very particular about my baby. The review on Unilocal was the same response I was given when I called. He will tell you what is wrong with the car. Nice that he took the time to explain.
I decided to run down on my lunch hour. They were able to perform my A service and get me back on my way. Quang even fixed my rear door knob and replaced my license plate bulb. No more malfunctions. I will definitely be returning for struts. Very satisfied with the service and the know how. Highly recommend.

«Bac Quang» has been fixing our cars for years so I figure it’s about time to write a review.
Although he may specialize in Mercedes, he has helped us with many other cars (Jeep, Subaru, Audi, BMW, Lexus). His prices are fair and can’t be beat especially when you compare them to the dealership prices. He has really gone above and beyond in the service that he provides. Am so grateful for all the auto work he has done for my family. Thank you!

Great place to get your car serviced.
It’s a small shop with only two lifts. I haven’t brought my Corolla in for any major work but every time I’ve come in for an oil change or something basic, they made it priority and I was in and out very quick.
I had my brakes replaced here. Joseph (owner’s son) gave me some options (performance, economy, oem, etc) and an estimated time. We set up an appointment and he completed the job quickly and efficiently. While waiting, I had the chance to explore the neighborhood and try out some of its eats (worth it!)
Judging from what I see, they service mainly European cars and they’re always busy but I’ve always an enjoyable experience because they are professional, courteous, and get things done quickly.

First of all, please let me get it straight that I have no relations to this company. The reason I posted this review is for the benefits who is struggling to find one good Auto repair for your precious car. Yes, this auto service place provides you a very good service at a surprising low price. I changed my windshield for around ¹⁄₃ of dealer’s cost. The owner, Mr. Quang, is super-​nice, reliable and knowledgeable. The best thing I like about him is that he doesn’t try to recommend «crap» repair, or impose unnecessary cost to customers, like other places do. I am totally satisfied with this auto service, and will recommend to those who are looking for one reliable auto service place.

I took my Audi A4 in to repair a broken window regulator and Quang gave me a reasonable price and even fixed it the same day. He can fix all German cars at a much more reasonable rate than the dealers. The most important thing is that Quang is honest, knowledgeable, and helpful. If you have a German car, this is the place to go and you’ll save yourself a lot of money.

Although a master certified Mercedes auto mechanic, he’s very capable of fixing any other car models.
My parents recommended this auto service after my last fair and great auto mechanic went on disability. I have a Honda and he’s been able to fix it at a fair price and fast. Like any auto service you go to, as long as you know what the general problem is he’ll take care of it. On a side note if you don’t know and you come into an auto service you might make it harder for them to figure out.
I highly recommend this auto place, he’s well respected and will treat you right.

The BEST mechanic ever! Quang is honest and fair in prices. You will NOT get a better deal anywhere in the Bay Area. He is an experienced auto mechanic that will tell you exactly what’s wrong with your car. He specializes in BMW and Mercedes but will/​can work on any car. I take my Nissan Altima and all my other cars for service to Quang. I also refer all my friends and family to his shop and they are now using his services.
He moved to another location (785 N. 13^th St, san jose, ca 95 112)
since the old shop was small and parking was a hassle. This shop is much bigger and easy to find.
I tell everyone I know to come here since he is honest and reliable. He will always quote you a cheaper price than any other shop.

I took my Benz here a while back and had a great experience. Quang is a great honest mechanic who will not rip you off. I had a leak in my AC system and Quang gave me the cheapest deal i could find, and told me the truth about what was worth fixing at the time and not, which i was greatly appreciative for, as it saved me quite a bit of money to defer one portion of the repair and also by saving me much money on what i had done. I will definitely continue taking my car to him going forward!

This is a small one man shop that gives you good prices and fantastic service.
One problem with large shops is spotty results; you never know who will work on the car and it can be good one time and bad the next. You never have that experience here, all the work is done by the owner. He is conscientious and has great service. He work for Mercedes Benz for years and now has his own shop.
The shop is pretty spare but he has the equipment needed. The sd scanners are expensive but he is set for MB, BMW, Audi, VW, etc.
He has the low overhead of a small shop and does all of the work (his wife keeps the books). This allows him to keep his hourly rates much lower than most shops. He doesn’t mark up his parts as much as most shops either. That all boils down to great prices.
