History

Established in 1962.

Next to San Jose State Spartan Stadium, The Keyes Club was established in 1962 as a neighborhood pub. It has had the names Vic’s Keyes Club, Roddy’s Keyes Club, S&H Keyes Club and now Tap’s. Mike, a San Jose Firefighter and Bridget, a good ol’ Irish girl, have run the bar since 1992, 22 years. The Keyes has always been a workingman’s bar. Being next to the Stadium, we have a long history of great coaches and players who made this home including John Elway. We take pride in serving the hardworking blue collar construction tradesmen right off of work. We serve mixed cocktails, bottled beer and beer on tap. We host for every State football game, GO SPARTANS! We are active in our community, hosting fundraisers throughout the year. We are a large family of friends, please come join us. At some point in their lives, everybody eventually comes to the Keyes Club.
