Nice little museum store. Has lots of technology related stuff. You can go into the store without buying admission into The Tech itself and that’s always nice.

Cool stuff. Love the items that they have here. I WILL buy stuff here, even though I know damned well that I can either take a pic of it or remember the item and then bargain shop elsewhere. But that old instant gratification thing always kicks in… wanting to get something cool for my daughter, or an unusual gift, or something for me. Every time!!! Last time I bought a little plastic box with rocks in it(amethyst, crystal quartz, turquoise, etc.), a 3D bookmark and a Spirograph set…$ 40 go bye-bye…

As noted by others, this is a review for only the store, not the museum, which is great. Selection of items in the store is fine, but the PRICING is way too high. Both items we bought there for our kids the other day were literally almost DOUBLE the market price. I am all for the mission of the museum, but if the items in the store are going to be so much more expensive than comparable retailers, they should give a «donation receipt» for the excess so you can at least get some tax break on the over-payment! Sure, we could avoid the store and buy the items elsewhere, but try telling that to young kids(and their grandparents for that matter) as you try to leave the museum. :-) (And note that the Café prices are also on the high side, particularly if compared to say the café at the SJ Children’s Museum).

The Tech Museum store is great for kids and adults! There’s lots of puzzles, educational toys, and books. They also have Astronaut Ice Cream! There’s a separate store for the Body World exhibit with lots of books on anatomy and the human body.

I love museum stores, and this one is no exception. Went to see the DaVinci exhibit and didn’t have enough time for the museum, so we visited the store instead. Some standard things, but some wonderful things as well. Bought a microbe(stuffed animal who is a bacteria)… and my friend bought some mini-gift-sets. A great, fun store.

Wow, if I was still 10, this would be my favorite store ever. I was always interested in science and technology and LOVED toys. What will you find here? Besides a crowd of children… puzzles, rubix cubes, jewelry, mood rings, mineral rocks, yoyos, magic toys, keychains with your name on it, small gadgets, kites, flying toys, wall decorations, cool clocks, space food, museum books, and more! I’ve long since grown out of buying things that are seemingly useless yet interesting, but children LOVE this store and it’s GREAT. Any store that encourages learning and interest in technology gets a plus in my book. If you’re at the museum already, take a gander!

My favorite place in the Tech Museum! Lots of interesting gadgets and cool inventions. I bought a shock pen and a fuzzy, magic worm and couple of other things here. Overall, great place to find a unique gift at a fair price.

i love this gift shop! the tech museum store carries everything from clothes to astronaut food to gadgets to cool books to rocks to fun science toys to almost anything science! they even have a pressed penny machine outside so you can get a 51 cent souvenir! i love coming here after i walk around the museum. prices are a little high but it’s ok because you can’t really find some of this stuff anywhere else! they always have a ton of people working here maybe to make sure no one steals anything? check out this store!
