Looks like The Wine Rack will be gone soon. The sign has been replaced with a chiropractic and acupuncture sign.

Had a lovely double date at Mango Garden and started walking over to Safeway to walk off our fullness when the boyfriends saw this gem! Unable to restrain themselves when beer is present, we wandered in to check out their selection of IPAs. The people that worked here were really nice! They asked if we needed help and when we told them we were just looking at their IPAs they gave us some great suggestions! They also gave us a bulk discount(cuz them boys like their beers!). And told us about some great exclusive tasting events in this area that I’m sure the boys will be attending! Will definitely be stopping by again when we are in the area(which we already have! Twice!)

This review is for the new management that took over in 2013. I wish I could I rate this business lower than one star! Please do NOT patronize this store for your wine purchases. I recently took back a bottle of Red Wine and a bottle of Champagne because both were oxidized and therefore un-drinkable. The counter person asked me to leave these at the desk and said he would check with management. Although I had left a phone number, I did not receive a call back for multiple days. So, I went back to check. I was told that management would not allow returns OR store credit and suggested that I contact the previous owner(but they had no idea how to get in touch with the prior owner)! Stores ownerships do of course change from time to time, however, customers have a reaonable expectation that new owners would treat such situations fairly and reasonably. Clearly, this did not happen in this instance. If you’d like fairer treatment in the event of the occasional bad bottle, I suggest you go to Trader Joe’s(a short distance away) or to K&L Wines in Redwood City.

This is a cozy neighborhood liquor store next to Safeway and Cicero’s. It carries the basics and essentials as well a carrying a few more exotic choices. It’s good for what is is, which is to say it’s a good place to picking up a bottle for dinner or something like that. However, it does not replace a more fully stocked store like K&L in Redwood City or Beltramo’s in Menlo Park.

Great Service! I was in last month looking for a specific bourbon they didn’t carry. To my pleasant surprise there it was on the shelf on my next visit. If you don’t find what you’re looking for from their large selection, just ask.

As many years as I have been going to Cicero’s since they opened the newer locale here, I never set foot in here. Definitely a good selection of wine and other booze. Also a decent selection of soft drinks and other things. Total family gig with most of them having a good time at the register. Who knew from the outside that this place was so good inside?

I only purchase alcohol from The Wine Rack because of the excellant service I receive from the owners. The have provided me with expert advice that range from gifts to personal consumption. They are experts on scotch and have a great annual scotch tasting. I highly recommend them.

We always come in here either before or after getting some dinner at Cicero’s. Awesome little place; and you can find some really unique stuff that you wouldn’t find anywhere else(such as peach margarita flavored schnapps). I almost liken it to the used bookstore of wine shops– half the fun is in the browsing! Super-nice married couple runs this place; and they are super knowledgeable about what they have and figuring out something you might like.

Love this place! They had everything I could want and the owners are the NICEST couple ever! They are very knowledgeable and great prices. Nice to find a family owned and run shop to support in the neighborhood!

My parents, Terry and Joyce, have owned this shop for 16 years. They have worked extremely hard over the years to build up a great selection of fine wines, spirits, sake, beer, cigars, glasses, gifts… you name it! They have something for every budget, style, and taste. They specialize in hard to find items. Next time you are in the area, stop in and check out their selection. No matter if you are a casual drinker or a conoisseur, I guarantee you will be impressed.

A mom & pop owned store. They have a surprisingly large selection of California wines with a sprinkling of European, Oregon, and Washington wines. They also have a wide array of liquor, including a variety of single malt scotches. Only four stars because it would be nice if the temperature of the store was a bit cooler; and if all of the wines were stored horizontally. To their credit most of their more expensive wines are stored horizontally.
