Tomorrow Montessori

This is one of best day care centers I will say! Tomorrow Montessori offers a true Montessori curriculum with plenty of freedom for children to challenge themselves, and learn through doing. My son is currently in the infant program which is amazing; the classroom has a very warm feeling, and nurturing environment. Every teacher there is amazing, and I’ve always felt 100% comfortable leaving my son in their care. The teachers are approachable, and willing to accommodate to the special request I have made as my son transition from one stage to another. Such as, learning to use a sippy cup as well as eat solid foods. I can’t express my appreciation enough for the patience, understanding, and kindness of teachers my son has been given. I am kept well informed of his behaviors, development, and growth. I am so impressed with the infant room care. I can’t forget to mention the center is owned and operated by a wonderful family Mr. John and Mrs. Joyce who really care about children. Mr. John and Mrs. Joyce are very approachable, understanding and a problem solver; which gives me a very reassuring feeling that the school and I are on the same side.

My twin girls were at Tomorrow for 3 years from 3 until kindergarten. They are now in 1^st grade and still talk about the teachers and how much they love Tomorrow. The staff/​teachers gave my girls a great school experience… the hot lunches, the secure web cams all made it easier for a working mom to leave her babies in the morning knowing that they will learn and thrive.

To say I highly recommend this center is an understatement. Of course it was hard at first for me to be OK with leaving my little girl, but I have to say the policy at Tomorrow Montessori makes it an easy transition.
It was obvious from the second we walked into the classroom that it was warm and nurturing environment where routines have been established. Our daughter is thriving under their guidance. We can’t express our appreciation enough for the patience, understanding, and kindness of teachers as our daughter develops. We are kept well informed of her behaviors, development, and growth. We are so impressed with the infant room care.

The teachers, staff and owners of Tomorrow Montessori provide the kind of care that makes spending time away from your little ones not only bearable but a truly positive experience for them. Our son started going there when he was a little more than a year old and since that point he has developed a huge new additional «family» there.
The school’s philosophy is perfect for his temperament, providing him with some structure but a great deal of opportunity to explore and discover the world on his own terms and largely at his own pace.
On the odd occasion we’ve had some family emergency make it difficult to get in to drop off or pick up at «normal» times Miss Joyce or Mister John have been incredibly flexible and we’ve become extremely thankful to know that our son is in good hands.
I honestly can’t recommend them enough.

After searching for a long time for a childcare center we felt comfortable with we chose Tomorrow Montessori. The staff here is so caring and is truly concerned about the well being of your child. We have seen our daughter develop in amazing ways as a result of being at Tomorrow Montessori.
Other great things about this school are that their hours (7am-​6pm) are very helpful for working parents. They provide breakfast, lunch and snacks. The days are scheduled so that the children have time playing indoors and outdoors, storytime, art time, etc. The children learn so many skills that can be used outside of school!

My daughter went here for about 2 years, from approximately age 3 to 5, right up until she started kindergarten. To this day, I can’t drive by this place and not have a warm feeling in my heart. They truly take wonderful care of your children here.
My daughter had a really tough transition into preschool. And even though she had never been a part of the baby/​toddler room, the woman who runs that portion of Tomorrow Montessori would welcome my daughter in such a loving way each morning that she saved us from what could have been pure torture. We were usually one of the first to arrive each morning, and my little girl got to cuddle up with Ms. Azra each morning and I knew she was in a great place.
The owners are equally endearing and treat the children with the utmost respect. I learned so much by watching how Joyce and the preschool teacher approached the children with such patience and always treated each child with dignity, even when letting them know they needed to alter their behaviour toward their friends.
I investigated a lot of preschools when we were selecting ours and I am oh so glad I chose Tomorrow Montessori. Were I to have another child, I’d send them no where else but here.

This is a mom and pop child care center. The owners are warm and are clearly devoted to children.
The school is divided into four rooms. There is an infant room, a toddler room and two preschool rooms. Of all the infant child care I have seen (and I looked at a lot of places) this was my favorite one. The babies are not placed in cribs to sleep. There is a sleeping area where the babies sleep on mattresses that are low to the ground. This prevents children from being «warehoused» in cribs. The sleeping area is enclosed in floor to near the ceiling windows, so the babies are in full view of the caregivers, but have most of the noise from the rest of the infant room muffled.
There are no highchairs in the infant room. (I shuddered at one infant care which had a 5 seat high chair table. Children shouldn’t feel like they are in an assembly line when they are fed.) Babies are held when they eat, or, as they get older, sit at toddler sized tables. The infant room is accommodating to parents who want to provide breastmilk for their babies. As far as I’m concerned, the infant room gets 5 stars.
The toddler room is next. If your child isn’t already in the school for infant care, it is difficult to get them enrolled at this level. The toddler room presents somewhat of a bottleneck to advancement. There are less children in this room than in the infant room, so sometimes kids have to wait a bit longer than they should in the infant room to move up to the toddler room. There is a potty area in the toddler room which helps the kids to potty train, but there is no pressure to do so. Kids are not prevented from moving to the preschool if they are not potty trained. The curriculum is rich in the toddler room, the kids will learn about geography and other subjects.
The preschool rooms are a bit large. While the ratios are kept within the law, there are just a lot of kids in one room. It can get noisy. There are a lot of traditional Montessori materials and the owners continue to reinvest in more materials. The playgrounds are up to date, having been redone in the past 5 years or so. Having breakfast, lunch and snacks provided is wonderful. In retrospect, my kids didn’t thrive as much in a traditional Montessori environment, but some kids really blossom there. I think that when it comes to preschool programs, one size really doesn’t fit all. Due to the classroom size and kindergarten preparation, I’m knocking off one star.
All of the rooms are equipped with secured web cams, so you can check in on your kids from work. At the end of the day, I never questioned that my children were respected and loved when I picked them up and this is why I continue to recommend Tomorrow Montessori.

Tomorrow Montessori offers a true Montessori curriculum with plenty of freedom for children to challenge themselves and learn through doing. They provide a solid educational foundation including workspaces with various jobs designed to help children learn practical life skills while developing their natural love of exploring and learning. They also have circle time so the children learn to follow directions, sit patiently and respect their teachers and friends. In addition, Tomorrow Montessori has a fantastic playground and a garden so the children can learn about nature by working with it. If the academics weren’t enough, Tomorrow Montessori also offers family style lunches (that’s right — breakfast cereal, lunch and snacks are included!!) and they teach MANNERS!
They even have an infant program which is amazing. My younger son has been at the school through the infant room, toddler room and now in preschool. Every teacher there is amazing and I’ve always felt 100% comfortable leaving my kids in their care.
The center is owned and operated by a wonderful family who really care about children. I’ve been surprised by how many day care centers in San Jose are owned by corporations or out of state people. Personally, I think onsite owners ensure their standards are upheld and can maintain better relationships with the staff.
