Great Financial Planners!

I have been working with Anne Mak with Turning Leaf Financial Group of San Jose since last year. I have found her to be very thorough and concientious in helping me handle my mother’s trust investments. She has developed a sound financial plan and assisted me in working with the various brokerage firms in getting trust accounts updated correctly. I definitely recommend Anne Mak to anyone needing sound financial advice during these difficult financial times.

Turning leaf is awesome! Not sure why there is a comment about them from Victor J. which has such a bad comment… probably from a competitor… I have been with them for more than 5 years and I truly think they are one of the best financial company. It’s hard to accept the concept of spending money to save money but that’s totally worth it. Their financial package helped me to diversify portfolio and manage risk. They also gave me very good advise on tax; it’s hard to believe that I learn a lot from them even I have tax experience more than 15 years ;-). Overall, I think they are the most honest, friendly, and professional financial advisers whom they put clients first that I have never hired. What else can you ask for? PS – One more thing, their fee is also reasonable (Probably not the cheapest out there, but if you are serious about your $, would you just want to pay a little for «some kind of» advise?)

They charged me $ 800 for just printing a so-​call financial plan
for me. Actually it was just a computer generated graphs and statistics, something they just plug in your names, income, expenses… and nothing really important or professional. That mean they just give you very, very general information (something you can get from lot of financial web sites)
Why pay them $ 800? They won’t look into anything for you until
you buy mutual fund and insurance from them (They are actually
insurance agent, mortgage and stock broker!!) Their consulting
or planning service are sucks! We met Wallace Chu 3 times and he
didn’t reply any emails we sent him (he will pretend didn’t get it and
looked for your email in his laptop during the meeting!!) He didn’t
give us any sound advices anyway! I couldn’t back out just
because I’ve already paid $ 400 up front to start. I won’t go back to
them again. I would absolutely keep away from their «financial planning» service!
