Union Optometry

I was able to make an appointment on a few hours notice after breaking my glasses. Form was only 1 page and didn’t take long. I showed up on time and the doctor saw me on time, no extra waiting. The doctor was friendly, easy to talk to, and explained what she was doing.

I love coming here. I always am a little nervous before an eye exam/​but every time I walk in the doors — the staff is so personable and sincere in greeting me/​they make me feel comfortable and stress free and my worries float away. When making an appointment — they are very flexible with my schedule and take their time at my appointments to listen to all my concerns and questions. I always feel like I am given the most thorough eye exams and their prices on eye glasses are extremely reasonable.
Patient for life. Wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

Exceptional service! They went over and beyond to find out about my insurance coverage. Doctor was super nice and informative about my eyes. Ordered some super cute glasses with help from staff and it was delivered promptly.
Also her sisters run a dental office in the same building who are amazing! Our family goes there. What a great family business!

I hate when I go to the optometrist and they don’t tell you that they will charge you for, like a retina scan our something else. Union Optometry is very honest and they do not try to pull gimmicks like this. Very friendly and no pressure staff. Highly recommend them!

I just had my first appointment at Union Optometry and it was a great experience. Dr. Ngo and her staff were very professional, providing a very thorough eye examination and explained in detail every part of each test and the result. I highly recommend, Dr. Ngo and Union Optometry.

I am a VERY picky person when it comes to my glasses. I have worn them since the 5^th grade (yep about 50 years ago). So many of the shops just want to «push you through» the exam and then have you just pick what we have on the shelf and we’ll get them made. THEN the people that work there have no idea of how to truly adjust frames. Yep a little cynical, so I had searched for a new Optometry shop to use. When I research, I really do… I actually go into the shop and ask questions of the Owner/​Dr/​Tech and see how they are personally and how they are able to actually do their job. The last pair I owned, I kept for too long, had to order new temple pieces for them and had repaired nose pad. The last shop I had gone to retired. I had looked for a few years.
I got an exam and two pairs of new glasses with Union Optometry and I could not be happier. Dr Ngo is patient, exam is very complete and a pleasant person. LoAnne (?), the tech, knows what she is doing and I am very happy with her skill set in helping me through the painful process of picking new frames and with her being able to adjust the frames all during the past year that I have had these.
I would recommend giving them a try, you will not be disappointed.

My review was for the service I received while purchasing my prescription eyeglasses. The lady that helped me went above and beyond!
When I first called to talk about my insurance coverage the lady told me she would call for me and find out, 5 min later she called me back and had all the info I needed.
I came in a few days later to try on some frames and the lady was extremely patient with me, I was being really picky and couldn’t decide. She even called ray bands to see if they had a color I wanted, I could tell that she really wanted me to have what I wanted. So overall even though I never saw the doc here, if this was just a taste of the amazing customer service, I definitely found my new eye doctor.

Dr. Ngo is a very patient and conscientious optometrist. The eye exam she gave me was very thorough, and she is also good at explaining eye conditions. In my eye exam, Dr. Ngo identified a potentially serious eye condition. I had no symptoms, and therefore did not know my vision was at risk. Because Dr. Ngo diagnosed this eye abnormality, I was able to see an ophthalmologist, and got treatment before vision loss occurred. I recommend Dr. Ngo to anyone looking for a thoughtful, professional and highly competent optometrist.

My whole family goes to Dr. Ngo for Optometry. She is super friendly, very smart and is great with kids. We really enjoy coming here and I trust her for the exams and recommended eyewear. Awesome!

If there were more stars, I’d give them to Dr Ngo! She goes beyond the normal level of service. She always remembers the details of my family and I. She is so helpful, compassionate and caring. She takes her time to explain any issues or questions. I would always highly recommend her to anyone! By far the best experience I’ve ever had with any form of exam — medical or otherwise!

Dr. Ngo was as good as other reviews suggested. I only needed computer reading glasses and she took the time to get things dialed in perfectly for the way I work. She and her staff helped me pick out a style that works, which was awesome since I’m just a bit challenged in that area. I’ll be sending the rest of my family there.

I am so pleased with this office. When i called they set up an appointment the same day. When I walked in they were really nice. You can tell when some one enjoys there job and she has a great sence of humor. She was very thorough with my examination and it didn’t take very long as a first time patient exam. She ordered my contacts and did rush delivery without me asking for no extra charge and on the first attempt she got them perfect. My old optometrist retired and was great also but I am happy to find a great replacement. (don’t go to Costco almaden. Terrible)

I love coming here! Dr. Ngo is great. She’s super friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. I used to loathe going to the eye doctor because they usually yell at me or tell me how awful my eyesight is and then tack on a bajillion extra dollars to my lens since I have to get special lens for my glasses (that insurance doesn’t cover, naturally). But I seriously enjoy every visit I have with Dr. Ngo. She takes the time to hear what your needs are, understand how your eyewear is currently fitting and does a thorough examination to make sure the prescription is correct. And she’s helped me pick out glasses twice! Seriously — she’s even had another patient waiting, but she’ll still wait with me in the lobby and give me advice on what frames look best with my face shape. My latest pair of glasses are great — they’re my favorite, ever!
I don’t know how pricing works with optometrists, but somehow, she makes it really affordable. I pay less for a pair of glasses and a year’s supply of contacts here at Union Optometry than I used to pay at other places. I still have to pay extra for my lens (stupid bad eyesight) but Luanne (the cutest receptionist ever) thoroughly explained the difference between each lens type and why it’s important that I picked a certain one (and also why it costs more). I appreciated Luanne’s helpfulness and therefore was more willing to pay for the extra for the anti-​glare, scratch-​resistant coating.
Oh, and Dr. Ngo gives discounts for referrals — for you being referred to her, or if you refer someone else to her. You can tell she takes customer service very seriously.

Dr. Ngo and her staff are the best around! Dr. Ngo is personable, warm, and sincere and her staff is prompt and attentive. Picking out glasses you will wear for an entire year is stressful but the doctor and her staff join right in the adventure of finding just the right shape, size, and color. For an experience that is above and beyond, I highly recommend Union Optometry.

Dr. Ngo has a wonderful personality, great sense of humor and a very calm demeanor. Her equipment is excellent and she always takes great care of myself and my friends. You get that «small town» feel when you are in her office with the right amount of personal attention — and you never feel like you’re being rushed.

I used to go Costco optometry, however after not being comfortable with my contacts and going back and to my doctor I gave up on contacts. I came across Union Optometry and Dr Ngo out of convenience of being close to my house. On my first visit I did more vision test than all my visits at Costco. Dr Ngo was great she convinced me to try contacts again and she walked me through so many contacts and samples that I finally found the best fit. She spend alot of time with me on picking the perfect contact and glasses. I am a huge fan.

Dr. Ngo is fabulous! The customer service is wonderful. My brother and I have both purchased glasses here. Dr. Ngo is extremely professional and knowledgeable. She is also very good at offering suggestions when it comes to which frames look good on her patients. I have purchased two pairs from her and she has helped me select them. My brother has a difficult time selecting frames that flatter him, so Dr. Ngo custom ordered some frames from the catalog. They go the extra mile! I recently ordered my third pair-​some Gucci sunglasses. Maylin called to let me know they had arrived. She is also very customer service oriented and helpful.
