Sometimes in life you get what you pay for. Adalina is simply the best at her craft. I have been to countless places and she is the touchstone. So much less painful than threading. Tons of free parking. If I could just get all my Indian brothers to go there for unibrow removal !

This was my first time getting waxed by Adelina. I found her through Unilocal.The reviews have all been so great, and I couldn’t agree more. Adelina’s level of professionalism mixed with her kind personality made for a very relaxing waxing (it hurts but it’s worth it!). I got a Brazilian, and she used this most afterwards. I’ve never had smoother skin! Go to her and give her your money. I’m scheduling a facial with her soon!

Adelina does it all– facials, waxing, makeup, you name it. She does a great job and cares about her customers, love her!

I have been a client of Adelina’s for 8 years and can confidently say that she’s amazing at her job. My experience here was very comfortable. Adelina made me feel safe in sharing my skin concerns. in return, she took some time to educate me on some ways to protect my skin in the future. My Spray Tan looked like I had been kissed by the sun.

Adelina does wonders with eyebrows and does great facials! Her studio is easy to get to and there’s easy parking. She makes her space welcoming and inviting. She’s professional and beyond talented at what she does. You’re in the best hands with Adelina and she offers a range of services from waxing to facials to eyelash extensions. She’s extremely responsive and accommodating, and I schedule my appointments with her via text which is very convenient for me.

It was my first time here, since my sister recommended Adelina to me and had great reviews about her studio. I was NOT disappointed! She’s very professional and super nice. I got the full leg wax treatment. I don’t take pain easily but Adelina made the whole process so much easier for me. I’ve been going to Adelina for over 3 years now, and I have never been disappointed. I remember the first time I ever got waxed. I was so nervous and scared, but Adelina has a way of making you feel super comfortable. She’s very good at what she does, and would strongly recommend her services. She has also done my eyelash extensions. They looked so good, and I received so many compliments. If only I could afford the maintenance, I would continue to get them done!

I’ve been going to her for about 3 years now. I still remember the first time I went to her for a Brazilian, I was so nervous. But she reassured me it wasn’t going to be that bad and talked to me throughout the process. She was chatting with me to distract me from the pain of waxing «down there». She is also quick and thorough.
She also gives spray tans. She gave me a very good spray tan when I got it. Wish it would never fade.
Adelina is VERY professional and is a very sweet person. I love the convenience of texting for an appointment with her.

Adelina is a god send.
I went in recently for an eyebrow shaping and I have to say, she gave me the BEST EYEBROWS OF MY LIFE. and that’s probably an understatement.
I am a professional make-​up artist, so I understand how important a good brow is to balance your face. I wanted a brow that had a nice medium arch, while keeping full so I don’t have to fill them in. basically, I wanted to be able to walk out of my home with a beautiful, natural brow that complimented my face. I know, I was asking for a lot.
Adelina delivered 10-​fold. Most brow places take 10mins max, quick wax there, some tweezing, and you’re done. Nope, not Adelina. She took her time to make sure my brows were purrrrrrfect. Its been nearly a month and I’m still getting compliments on my brows (esp. from other beauty professionals — its amazing). I don’t know why it took me so long to go to her for eyebrows but I definitely won’t be making that mistake again — You shouldn’t either.

I found Velvet Skin Studio on Unilocal when I first moved to San Jose. Taking a leap of faith based on this website, I decided to book my first ever Brazilian with Adelina. I couldn’t have been happier with the experience or results.
Adelina is a true professional as well as a wonderful person. As soon as I met her I felt like I had already known her for years which actually really helped calm me during a rather uncomfortable circumstance. Knowing it was my first time she knew exactly how to defuse my nervousness. She talked with me through the entire process so I barely even noticed what was going on. It was so easy, I couldn’t believe it, I had been worried for nothing. Adelina is quick and thorough and I was so happy with the results!
Adelina also does amazing eyebrow and upper lip waxing too.
I returned to Adelina for regular upkeep (about once a month) and instead of dreading having to go for a wax, I found myself enjoying my time there because it became relaxing and a break from my busy day.
I eventually moved out of the Bay Area so I had to stop going to Adelina. Since then I’ve gone to a couple of other technicians but no one fully lives up to the high standard that Adelina set.
