Had an amazing experience when I came in last month for my eye exam. The staff and Dr. Hong himself are all very warm and friendly. Dr. Hong talked me through my whole exam and really took the time to make me feel important. I ordered a pair of glasses with my insurance, so it came out to a very affordable price. I will be coming back for my contact lens exam. Overall a GREAT place!

Shopping for frames is always a painful process. I was pleasantly surprised to find a pair here. The experience was so good that I decided to switch doctors. Today, I had my first appointment. The entire process was great. It’s great to meet a dr that cares and talks you through the entire process. In addition there are plenty of frames to choose from at affordable prices. I am looking forward to my new prescription and new frames.

Let me start by saying that I *HATE* shopping for frames. I do not have a good face for eyeglasses. Big nose, tiny and close set eyes, and an unfortunately heavy jaw. I put on glasses and they almost always accentuate everything I do not like about my features. Nobody thinks I look good in glasses. So I put off getting frames until the day my prescription expired after having gone 5 YEARS after having got my last pair. Needless to say, I needed new glasses and I needed them TODAY.
I dragged my husband with me to help me with this ordeal and Luis greeted us pleasantly when we came in. I dropped my purse on the counter and started franticly skimming the racks to see if anything looked promising. Since the current fashion is for dark, dramatic, square frames — exactly what I *don’t* need — I wasn’t optimistic. Luis was great about listening to what my preferences were, and why, and pulling out frames for me to look at and showing me other places to look. I don’t like overly «helpful» (pushy) salespeople, and Luis was perfect. He made quiet suggestions that were actually helpful, listened to what I said, mostly stayed out of my way, but was right there when I had a question.
My husband and I narrowed it down to just a couple of pairs and then asked the opinion of which pair was best. Everyone in the shop agreed with my husband as to which pair of frames was most attractive, and that they were better than the frames I came in with! So a big score there.
Mayra was very efficient, pleasant and professional getting me checked out with all the extras I needed/​wanted for my frames and made it very clear exactly what the standard cost for everything was, how much my insurance would cover, and how much was for me to pay. And while we were doing this, Luis replaced the bridge pads and adjusted the glasses I came in wearing — they had never been adjusted correctly since the day I bought them 5 years ago, they were painful and always slipping — and now they fit great! He even adjusted my prescription sunglass frames which I had sprung out so they kept slipping off and now they fit like new also!
I can’t comment about Dr. Hong since I haven’t met him, but I can say that Luis and Mayra treated me to the most pleasant eyeglass shopping experience I have ever had and I can’t say enough about how pleasant, competent, and helpful they both were! My husband and I were both very impressed!

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Wide selection for glasses and sunglasses. Love the quality and fair prices. Dr Hong is very attentive and thorough with his exams. There is never any pressure to buy. He and his staff are always attentive and highly knowledgable. Loving my new pair of glasses and sunglasses! Thanks again!

Luis is awesome, he patiently worked to get the nose pad right and advised on how best to maximize the insurance. Highly recommend you go here and ask for Luis!

This is such a great office! The doctor is very knowledgeable and friendly. I have had a problem for years with wearing glasses, and the doctor figured out why and fixed it. I can see very well now. I would recommend this place!

I love this place! No hidden cost and a professional doctor who CARES about hi patients. He has been able to fix all my eye problems. I have 2 pairs of prescription eye glasses from them and a pair of sunglasses. I have to admit its not cheap like Walmart, but way worth any price!!!

Fast, friendly, helpful. I love that they work with my insurance and are conveniently located, also open on weekends.
Dr. Hong treats you like a friend/​family and wants to do right by you and your eyes. Myra is very helpful with frame selection.
I had an older pair of glasses that broke, and Dr. Hong fixed them up for me while we were talking, and then handed them back to me, no charge. I didn’t even realize he was fixing them!

Dr. Hong and his staff have taken great care of my eyes over the years. I also cannot say enough about his optician, Amanda, who has many years of experience as an optician and knows how to find the correct style of frame for your face and in general what just looks good on you. I’ve moved to the north bay but I still have to recommend Dr. Hong any chance I get.

Dr. Hong is great. The one thing that got me was the hidden costs. They do not communicate everything that you need to pay for. I had to pay an extra 75 dollars i was not aware of. I would not have purchased other things if i had known i still owed 75 for other things.
I have been there twice in the past 1 year for contact fitting and glasses. Definitely would not recommend this to anyone. Better off going to walmart where you wont get any hidden costs.

Dr. Hong was enthusiastic about finding the correct pair of frames for me. I wanted my glasses to double as my sports glasses, and he recommended a bunch– from Oakleys to Nikes.
Myra was helpful in making sure that I chose the correct pair so it didn’t end up looking like a date-​repellant. I initially chose an Oakley, thinking that after the transition wore off, I could still wear it indoors and look cool. She gave me a funny look, punched out the Oakley’s dark lenses and asked me to wear it. She asked, ‘would you wear that in a club to meet women?’; after looking into the mirror and I finding me looking back looking like aquaman, I said, «No, unless I want my gene pool to stop».
Small place and friendly service.

Dr. Hong is an excellent optometrist, answered all my questions with easy-​to-​understand vocabularies. They have a lot of stylish frames with reasonable prices.

Dr Hong is great, he and his staff are very friendly.
I am very happy with my glasses and when I needed some adjustments he was able to quickly help me.

These guys are great! The receptionists are friendly and helpful and the doc is very professional and honest about the various options these days. In the past, they’ve even given me some free disposable contacts to bring on vacation with me while I was waiting for my real ones to come in.

My main pair of glasses just broke, and I decided to go to Vision Innovations as it is located in the shopping center that I do a fair amount of my shopping in anyway. I was pleasantly surprised with the friendliness of the staff, especially Dr. Hong. When I told him I hated the «air puff» test, he told me that there were multiple ways to run that test, and that we could do one of the others. (Thank goodness!)
After figuring out my prescription, I had the chance to explain what I did and didn’t like about my old pair of glasses, and they were able to address all the issues I had. I just got my new glasses and I am very pleased — they sit on my face perfectly, and they are really comfortable.
So, friendly and knowledgeable staff plus some really cool frames equal a big win for me.

Ok, so I have been to this place to fix the lens on my prescription glass frame. I had been to this on the weekend and there was a girl to attended our issues. Primarily, she had kept my card with her after billing and she had no courtesy to gimme a call when she found out i left my card with her.
Secondly i dont hear from them about the status of my order until a week, point to be noted s i was told my order would be ready in like 3 – 4 days. I call them up the next weekend and a lady speaks to me asking totally irrelevant information, had no courtesy to apologise for not informing me about my order.
The so called
very unprofessional. who cares if ur warm and friednly but lacking professionalism. He was so pushy n me to get a new frame about 400 bucks !!!
Finally if you want a professional work to get done i would never recommend this

This past weekend I had an appointment with Dr. Hong, he is very personable, and most importantly knowledgeable! I felt comfortable right away, and as if I had been seeing him for years! He helped me pick out the perfect glasses for my face frame. My sister came along and decided she wanted to switch optometrist because she liked him so much! He had a great selection of glasses to choose from, and wonderful staff as well to help me with my insurance. Overall I found a fantastic new optometrist, a great pair of glasses, and was able to get a couple laughs in to start my Saturday off right!

This is a fairly new business that was put in the perfect location. It’s about time we get a competent and flexible optometry office in the area. Open Tuesday — Sunday and on evenings, this place is a blessing to the working class 9 – 5 crowd. Not only is the flexibility a plus, the friendly and warm atmosphere takes the cake. Dr. Linn Hong and his staff are some of the most welcoming individuals I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Enough said… you would be missing out if you don’t call and make an appointment.
