VONA Summer Writing Workshop for writers of color is more than just a workshop; it is a movement, a community. I’ve taken several classes at Vona and it’s been transformative. Held annually in partnership with USF’s Creative Writing Department, VONA brings amazing artists like Faith Adiele, Junot Diaz, Ruth Forman, Suheir Hammad, David Mura, Willie Perdomo and more to give master classes in poetry, fiction, and other genres.
