VTA Light Rail Metro Airport Station

Excellent way to get to San Jose airport. I have been riding the VTA Light Rail every time that I go to SJC Mineta airport, and it is great. You get off the train, cross the street and there is the stop where the free Airport Shuttle bus (Route 10) stops and drops you off at the airport! Much faster and cheaper (only $ 2 to ride the light rail!) than taking those shared Van shuttles and just as fast as driving and waiting for the parking shuttle. Very inexpensive way to get to the airport. The Bus 10 also connects to Caltrain after it stops at the airport. I highly recommend his way for getting to SJC. The only reason I deducted one star is because sometimes there are homeless people hanging about the station and the stop for the bus #10 in the late afternoon/​evening hours.

I had ran all the way from great mall to the train station I then waved at the train driver and said thank you he then did not let me in and went off and I had to wait 30 minutes for the next train unbelievable. this happened at 7:15 pm 1÷17÷15 Milpitas great mall stop the driver appeared to be white. Mid 50“s late 40’s

Nice way to commute to the VTA. Please increase the frequency of the buses.

This was my daily station when I worked over by the Airport.
It was more often than not fairly clean, and the machines never went down in the couple of years I commuted. I would have loved for there to have been more seating as on busy day the two benches aren’t necessarily enough but other than that it was a fairly easy and enjoyable to use station.
The only real negative I could give is that this station doesn’t have much overhang, thus if it’s raining you had better have an umbrella.
However all in all it’s one of the better stations on this route!

This light rail station is the connection to the San Jose International airport. VTA provides a free shuttle connection from here at approximately 15 minute intervals. Want to avoid parking fees at the airport? This is your way!
