Walmart

My Fiancé and I have been coming her for about a year now, since we moved in together. We have many options when it comes to grocery stores. We have a Lucky, 2 Safeways, Trader Joe’s, and Sprouts all with a 5 miles radius of our house, but for normal shopping, we choose Walmart. Prices are great, everything is fresh, they have EVERYTHING that you would need and they are never out of stock of stuff. Their meat selection is great too. We always get out meat from them, and have yet to be disappointed.
There was this one time we got a rotisserie chicken (the already heated up ones) and it had not been cooked all the way… and we almost ate it! But I noticed it right away. It was also like $ 3 (normally are), so I really wasn’t that mad, we just need to pay more attention, that’s all.
They have self check-​out, which is nice. It is always busy there, so be ready to wait in a line. You also need to bring your own bag! Scoring a bag from them is kinda hard… so I highly suggest bringing your own bag (s).
The staff is fine. They are attentive if you need help, but otherwise they stay away from you.
Overall, We choose this place, because it is cheap, easy, convenient and clean!

The idea of the Walmart grociery store is great. The problem is the under skilled cashiers & out of stock merchandise. The lines move so slow its almost unbearable. The shelves are always under or out of stock. If the store was managed better I would give this location 4 stars.

This review is mostly concerning an online-​order pickup experience. So… two weeks ago, I had gotten a FedEx notification that my package had arrived at Walmart. I didn’t know that I needed to receive a second notification from Walmart directly before going to the store to pick up the package. Anyway, after talking to customer service people at the store, the guy who was helping me seemed to have found the package in the system. He proceeded to ask for my ID. Upon noticing that my first name didn’t match the name on file (legal name v. informal name), he refused to release the package to me. Totally understand that.
So he told me to call customer service by phone and have them change the first name on the order. So I did that. But afterwards, he said that it wasn’t showing in their store system. So I tried something else – adding an alternate pickup person to my order info. After telling him this, he tried checking again and once again, said that it was not showing in the system. Another associate then informed me that sometimes it takes a few hours to a day to show up. And I’m like… well I can show you on my phone, and she were like no it needs to show up on OUR system. Eventually, we got another lady to help us and she discovered that the item ITSELF was not even in their system yet – it hadn’t been processed after delivery. So we basically wasted an hour…
Came back a week later and the package WAS in the system, but it took them almost 20 min. to find it. Went back and forth between several places in the store only to end up finding it literally right next to the door behind the customer service desk we were at… So so inefficient. Never doing store pickup again.

We all know Walmart is the lowest common denominator among retailers, catering the the lowest common demographic denominator, but I didn’t realize this also applied to their staff. Enough has been said about unprofessional staff already, so I won’t bother repeating it.
I’ve been to this store a few times and have learned what to steer clear of (like miniature rotisserie chickens that all look like they got run over) and what’s a good buy (12-​packs of Negra Modelo in bottles), but getting out of this store is a major challenge and a serious test of the average shopper’s patience. That is reason enough for me to stay away for long periods. When I do go back, I always hope I’ll get lucky and breeze through the checkstand. So far it hasn’t happened.
To paraphrase The Eagles, you can’t check out anytime and you can never leave.

I don’t know why my dad thought it would be a good idea to buy anything from this horrendous store. The customer service here is absolutely abysmal. Who knew that at 8:30 pm on a Friday there would be a monstrous line for returns and online pick-​ups. I thought the whole point to all of this was convenience. The computers here also conveniently shut down mid-​waiting in line and not one staff member seems to know what to do about it…
In this day and age when places like Amazon get your business to your door, I see absolutely no reason why I should burn my time waiting in line for online Walmart pick ups.

Went back 30 minutes later to try again, 9:15 pm on a Friday still with a 20 minute wait. And the most glorious part: my dad thinks he’s getting a car battery charger, he opens up the box to find out SURPRISE, MERRY CHRISTMAS, it’s a box of razor refills!!! And the best part is that
documented it incorrectly on the order!!! So we have to either take it home or get a refund for something we didn’t even buy.
If I could send this review over to HQ I would. Because this isn’t a comment necessarily about this Walmart. In fact the lady who helped us was really quite sweet and understanding. And empathized with an obviously frustrating series of events. It’s a comment on how little Walmart as a company invests into making sure their customers have a pleasant stress-​free experience. Merry Christmas to you too Walmart!

Your neighborhood friendly Walmart. I go here to pick up groceries usually twice per month. The staff isn’t too bad. Usually there is one to two lines open to check out. and 3 – 4 self help check out lines This isn’t a Super Walmart. This place only sells food and other little stuff like a regular grocery store. No electronics or anything. The prices aren’t the best but then again this is Killa California. If you aren’t from California don’t plan on getting plastic bags. Paper or you have to buy the fabric ones… News flash when I first moved here. There is a tax on plastic bottles as well… another Cali thing. The produce here is usually great. I always buy the rotisserie chicken here and its pretty good. Theres a decent size alcohol section and the place is sally clean. You wont see this place on faces of walmart … I gave it three stars because of how long it takes to check out … and they never have asparagus, or other common veggies that I see at Safeway.

Customer service manager was very rude ! She gave attitude to one of her employees and when we payed out stuff she didn’t say a word, didn’t even greet my fiancé and i nor did she tell us our total in the end.
Very rude people.

This place seriously is lacking. I’ve been in line for around 20 minutes and there’s only been one person in front of me. Why haven’t I moved you May ask? It’s like a bad car accident you can’t stop looking at something so disastrous I. e the check out clerk. Do they get paid by how long they spend with each customer because this checker is dominating. Also the prices aren’t cheap either. Don’t come here

This Wal-​Mart is easy to get in and out of. Parking is plentiful as Wal-​Mart took over the former Circuit City at this location.
Despite the smaller location, there is plenty of variety at this location. Any specialty item that isn’t in store can be ordered online and shipped to this location in 7 – 10 days with free shipping. There’s also a special counter to pick up online orders that is quick and easy.
Some items that I would purchase elsewhere include produce, meat, & frozen goods… …not sure if their produce is organic and their chicken is free range…

I usually shop here but was pretty off put when I asked a lady to help me find cream & all she said was if we have it, it’s on the shelf. ya well obviously. found it shortly on my own but help would have been nice since you stock these shelves. lazy/​rude employee

They had some great sales like 10 cent folders and I wanted to buy some of their bigger wall calendars, but there was no price tag. I am really disappointed at the amount of items that they have here. The store is large and organized as well as being fairly clean. They also have a large parking lot, but their selection of items is VERY LIMITED on terms of cosmetics, school supplies, hair and beauty, basically all of the things that I came in to look for at a cheaper price since its Walmart. For makeup, they probably only had 3 – 4 brands. I was trying to find some color hair spray as advertised online, but this store didn’t have any. Just your regular hair dyes, not fun colors for temporary halloween or event use that I needed it for.
This walmart is probably best to go for the generic things as well as groceries and food related items as they are bigger on that end much more. Those items had multiple aisles as compared to one wall of cosmetics or hair stuff, etc.
I walked out not finding what I needed sadly.

I do most of my shopping at Wal-​Mart stores cos of the insanely low prices (forget that drivel about how shopping at Wal-​Mart affects the American and helps China’s, I am a patriot but America’s economy has been doomed already by our politicians, not by US) so I am no stranger to Wal-​Mart and Wal-​Mart «culture «.
That being said this has to be the BIGGEST Wal-​Mart Neighborhood Market I have been to in the San Jose area (Neighborhood Markets are different than regular Wal-​Marts cos they only sell foodstuffs and toiletries, not electronics, clothes, garden supplies, jewelry, etc.) and this one is chock-​full of good stuff from the front of the store to the back, so if you ever visit this one be pleasantly surprised by what you find.
I only came to this store to buy a gallon of milk and some cookies and they had both but it is filled to the brim with FOOD from the front of the store to the back, they have fresh fruits and vegetables when you enter the store, then they have Alcoholic beverages on the right of the fruits and vegetables, then you get to the main layout of the store and on the left is food and on the right are the toiletries and things necessary for parties and stuff, as well as the cat and dog food. At the very back are the refrigerators where they house the ice cream, frozen foods, and dairy and I had to walk to the very back of the store to get the milk, I mean, it was at the very back of the store and this was no small feat, this is an ENORMOUS store and luckily they had the brand of milk and kind I was looking for. I wish I could have explored this store longer but I had no time time to waste but I definitely will come back soon to partake of a great shopping experience again.
The only caveat I have is they have 7 checkout lanes and they were all backed up, 2 were closed and apparently nobody (well, few people and myself) know how to use the electronic checkers cos nobody was really using them but I used it and that’s how I was able to leave quick.
I should have known this Wal-​Mart would be hectic cos of the filled-​to-​the-​rafters parking lot but hey, I had time to spare so no biggie. Have fun shopping!

This walmart is a scaled down version of a bigger store. I love it! Everything is soo clean and bright! The shelves all looked clean and fully stocked. Prices were easily discernable.
The produce section looked impeccable! Didn’t look like a typical walmart produce section. Super clean like a grocery store, and I mean a nice one at that. Fully lite so everything was noticeable. The prices were very nice to see compared other stores. I definitely will come back.

Our Cashier was so slow because she was chatting with the customer. She was not even scanning. Her name was Razina. So glad I don’t have to come back here

I was very impressed from the entrance of the facility throughout the entire shopping experience.
THe place was clean, and the pricing is amazingly low and everybody is very helpful.
I highly recommend shopping at Walmart grocery store and I’m going to tell all of my friends.

First time at this Walmart. We went early Sunday morning to check it out while we waited for my car to be serviced down the street. Nothing really stood out about this Walmart. At 9am, there were already people shopping. It’s a grocery store only. It was a clean and well lit store. Since it was early Sunday morning, there weren’t that many employees.

Self check out registers are much better. Somehow I feel like every time I get helped by a human being in there, I’ll never leave.
The store itself is nice and clean. Prices are fair, just the human factor is what bothers me hahaha
So sad…
I live across the street, so this is my home market.

20 minutes to buy a bag of ice.
I was golfing up in The City on a Saturday morning but needed some ice in my cooler. Had grabbed something from Golfsmith so figured I’d walk next door. Big Mistake.
Grabbed the bag of ice and a breakfast bar in about a minute.
There is not a single manned register. There are 3 self check out machines, one is broken.
I go to the first and scan my breakfast bar. Item not found. Please scan again.
Scan again: Item not found. Please scan again.
At this point I would move to the ice, but the machine won’t let me cancel the first item. Or anything.
The older white woman is going HAM on the single staff member because she can’t buy her single item. Eventually the older white woman storms off.
I thought she was being a bitch, but she was the only sane person.
The single staff member comes by, types in the code, and the item isn’t found.
While this happens she tells another staff member he needs to go in the back instead of helping people.
I grab a new breakfast bar, continue to freeze my shoulder with the bag of ice on it, and go back.
Now the two other self checkouts are broken.
The single staff member is nowhere in site.
At this point there are lines in every possible lane, but literally no one can purchase a thing.
Eventually an old man comes out to man a register.
That is how I got my ice, 20 minutes later.
This was my first and last time going to a Walmart in California.

Never in my life did I ever think that I would give a Walmart FIVE stars.
Stopped by this Walmart because it was close to where I was this morning. Upon walking into the store, I was just like «Wow!» This is my first time at this location, as you can guess.
Most of the Walmart I’ve been in the past looked like I stepped back in the 90’s (dirty floors, old shelves, etc). Not this one. It’s extremely clean like Safeway and the interior is not outdated and easy on the eyes. Everything is neatly stocked and nothing looked like it was out of order.
The Walmart by my house (the one on Story Rd), is constantly crowded, with people pushing to try to get out of the aisle, and children running around (their parents refusing to do anything about it). This one is the exact opposite. There was so much space, I couldn’t believe it. Although I was using a basket (yes, this Walmart actually has baskets), you can easily push a cart around and not have to worry about ramming into someone. And I went on a Saturday too, so that is saying a lot.
The shoppers here aren’t rude and there aren’t a bunch of unsupervised kids running around so that’s always a plus. (Past experience: A lady and her family was behind me with a cart. My cart was blocking the aisle and instead of saying «excuse me», she waited for me to actually NOTICE. When I did notice, I moved out of the way and I felt like she was talking bad about me behind my back in another language.)
The selection is really good. Fresh produce, meat, and dairy for low prices. Just a tip, this is a Neighborhood MARKET, so they don’t sell electronics/​garden supplies here. They operate like a regular supermarket. You can still get your necessities here like any other Walmart though (hygiene products, meds, toilet paper, etc).
Don’t be expecting outstanding services, but the employees are much nicer looking than the Walmart back home. Whenever I needed help at other locations, they either don’t speak English or is just plain unhelpful. My cashier was sweet. This is the first time I’ve seen a Walmart employee that wasn’t miserable.
The color scheme is green (green baskets, employees wearing green shirts) as opposed to regular Walmart blue. I thought that was pretty cool.
My only complaint is that I don’t live close by to this location. I would honestly come here all the time to do my grocery shopping if that wasn’t the case.
