Established in 1995.

A second-​generation Western trained doctor of AOM, Shasta Tierra received her Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree from Five Branches University. She is a primary health care provider, she has been certified since 1995 through the State of California Acupuncture Board. Dr. Tierra has done extensive research and training in complementary and alternative medical approaches to pain management, fertility, weight loss and autoimmune diseases. She is a contributing editor for «Acupuncture and Electroacupuncture: Evidence-​Based Treatment Guidelines», October 2004. She has worked for The Center for Integrative Medicine at O’Connor Hospital, as well as having lectured on Chinese medicine at the Stanford Center for Integrative Medicine. She is a professional member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
