West Wave Dj’s

For two years, Michael has been the DJ for a festival we have annually at our school. Prior to the event, we had constant communication with him via phone and email, and we let him know what we wanted. The day of the event, he arrived early and was ready before the event started. He followed our requirements (age appropriate music) and had a sound system that was clear and loud enough so everyone could hear. Moreover, during the event, he was very energetic. He went around with a mic to different stations to inform the attendees of what there was. Michael is personable and charismatic. It was great working with him before and during the event. Everything went as we had envisioned it!

Where to begin with DJ Mike and his crew… BEST DJ CREW EBER!!! Everyone was dancing, having a good time and the music was dope at my wedding. But prior to the whole event Mike was a great pleasure to work with. His experience and knowledge with weddings was very helpful to me. I always thought the only song that was important in finding was the song for the first dance. But no, there is a list of songs you have to come up with for your wedding timeline that I didn’t realize the difficulty of choosing. Mike helped me pick out some greats songs for our event that was relative to me and my wife and also establish our wedding timeline which is very important for our vendors and the coordinators. Mike went to our venue at San Mateo Marriott several times to get a feel of the wedding and the layout. His visual insight before the wedding really helped him create a seamless flow with music and MCing. Our wedding never seemed like it was off track but trust me, there was a lot of back scene work between Mike & his crew with our day of coordinator to ensure that there were no challenges.
Lighting, lighting, lighting… You need lighting and Mike is your main provider. We had uplighting, lasers, stage lighting, whatever lighting, we had it all because Mike had it all. Mike was also able to make custom floor lighting for us that came out super fresh.

All in all, best DJ ever and will always be my DJ forever. Highly recommend and will be for any other future events. Mike hope you are still doing this 10 years from now when we renew our vows. Miss you and love you… Thanks for the great time brotha.

I threw my husband a 40^th birthday celebration at a bar and Westwave came out, set up and played great music. The sound quality was really good and the music definitely made the party. My husband worked with DJ Quixslvr prior to the party date on song recommendations and the DJ played all my husbands favorites. It was really nice to see the DJ having fun and always had a smile on his face. You can really tell that he loves music and he loves what he does.
So, if you’re looking for a DJ for a wedding, birthday celebration, dance party, or any other occasion, call up Westwave. I highly recommend them!

Having now _​somewhat_​recovered from my 40^th birthday bash this previous weekend, one of the first things I wanted to do is drop a review on West Wave DJ’s. My boy DJ Quixsilver simply TORE SHIT UP, deftly handled my drunk ass constantly rushing the stage and kept the crowd moving all night.
Having grown up DJ’ing myself, I have a healthy respect for what they do, but also I’m going to have higher expectations and West Wave met those expectations and more. Anyone can play music loud and with the new computerized beat matching, anyone can mix. But it takes special skill to know exactly which song to play, and when, in order to keep the crowd hyped. Quixsilver quickly established a connection with my crowd (which was a very eclectic mix) and grooved with them all night.
Since the party was at a bar and he was up on stage, it was very nice to have someone confident and engaged. Some DJ’s don’t groove with the audience and prefer to hide in the shadows. I swear some would DJ from the bathroom if they could. Not Quixsilver — he was runnin’ things from up on stage!
Turning the Big 4 – 0 was a pretty big ass deal — one that I wouldn’t have entrusted to just anyone, so I am so thoroughly happy it was Quixsilver who DJ’d my party. Thanks again, bro!

Dear Dj Quixslvr and Dj Ace,
Where can we begin? Would it be fair to just sum up the job that Westwave did by using the word AMAZING? Planning a Wedding is insane. If you’ve been there, I would like to take a shot with you at one point in my life. So the task of asking someone— no, the task of TRUSTING someone with having to MC, HOST, and DJ your wedding reception, that’s one of the most important aspects of your night.
I was already very familiar with DJ Quixslvr and DJ Ace’s work, they’ve actually done other huge events for family previously, so the trust was definitely there. Don’t get me wrong, if I knew them prior or not, the professionalism was there from the start. I was in frequent contact with Myke (DJ Quixslvr) through telephone or email, Myke even went as far as emailing me tips for the whole journey to the wedding day. For the most part, our wedding was crazy, talking maxed out, 400+ people, multicultural, Filipino, Islander, Chinese, and Vietnamese, at one point a karaōke war busted out. However, Myke and Ace handled it with ease. This was not an easy wedding reception to take the task of working, but Westwave handled it VERY PROFESSIONALLY and FLAWLESSLY from beginning to end.
On behalf of myself and my wife, we highly suggest that you take a look at what Westwave can do for YOU, if they were able to handle the madness of our wedding reception, they can definitely handle anything. We look forward to working with Westwave in the future.

Selecting your wedding DJ is a very important thing — or at least for me. The DJ sets the mood of the atmosphere while people are dining, and also can make or break the hype of a crowd when getting them on the dance floor. An even better DJ will also MC your event, and keep things organized and done in a timely manner. Their personality is important because this is what keeps your crowd engaged to hearing what the next reception event will be.
Mike at West Wave DJ did all of this, and beyond. I am more than pleased with their work, and would advise anyone who is in the market to hiring a DJ for ANY event to contact them first.
