SeniorNet offers computer classes for seniors. Each class is 2 hours once a week for 8 weeks. Our classroom is equipped with 17 computers, one for each student. The image from the instructor’s machine is projected on the screen and the student is encouraged to follow along with the instructor. A manual is provided with most classes also so that student can practice at home. We offer classes in Introduction to Computers, Word Processing, E-​mail, Fun with Google, Best of the Internet, Photoshop Elements Organizer, Photoshop Elements Editor, Picasa, Windows 7, File Management, Computer Maintenance and Security, Digital Music and much more. There is an annual fee of $ 40 to our parent organization.

History

Established in 1994.

SeniorNet Willows was originally organized by the IBM Retirement Club. The community soon discovered this group and clamored to take classes. We register a new list of courses 5 times a year; and about 200 students take our classes each session.
