Jimmy helped me out here, he is very friendly and knowledgeable! I had a minor scratch of paint on the side of my car, he told me on the phone to bring my car in so he can take a look and recommend a product. He recommended me a product and it worked like magic. My car paint looks like new again, it is amazing. I couldn’t believe my eyes at first. Very good customer service and store.

I’ve always had amazing service here! The employees constantly go above and beyond for their customers. I come here every few months to get oil (and even though I buy it often I never know what kind I need). The guys here are so helpful and don’t even bat an eye when it comes to helping me pick out the right kind.

My battery died today… don’t know why, it was only 8 years old! Those in the know, know that battery’s only last 5 years… so…
The guys there are great. They usually have what you need, If not they can get it within a couple hours.

Came in tonight to get s brake light bulb and the guy who helped was so rude! I knew what I needed because I kept the box and he told me to follow him to the computer. He asked me the year make and model of my car and I have it to him and he asked me what bulb I needed — stoplight or tail light? I knew it was the brake but I was confused because I thought it was the same thing. I’m a female who knows NOTHING about car repairs but he was so rude to me. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO SUPPORT THEIR BUSINESS.

Special thanks to Alex for helping a girl out! I came in on a rainy day with very low oil in my engine. Purchased a quart and asked Alex a few questions on how to add oil and if ok if the engine is hot. Not only did he provide the answers but also came out in the rain to help me, even with the store being busy. Thank you Alex!

This auto parts store has got to be the best in Nor Cal. After a dreadful experience with a car battery, we called every auto parts store in town on El Camino Real. No one seemed to have the battery for the vehicle we had. We were on vacation from Southern California so this was a huge headache. Luckily, after wasting 20 minutes on the phone with other shops (Which some were quite rude) this spot had the car battery we needed & were total gentleman. I appreciate the great informative employees at this location. If you are looking for the best Winchester is the place to go!

I always appreciate the neighborhood shops who make extra time to help people out. I was looking for chains for a trip to Tahoe. Because I never used chains on my Range Rover back in the Northeast, I hadn’t the foggiest idea what to get. The guy helping me walked me through it and even went out back to double check my tire measurements and clearance to make sure we got the right chains for me. Great service, and I left with the peace of mind I got the correct chains for my trip. Will definitely be back in the future for anything else.

Generally speaking Winchester Auto is somewhat of a cut above all the other Auto Parts Stores, but when you call to ask if they have a part that is on their shelves and they respond that they do, and when you get there not only do they not have it or anything close to it, the response that the inventory recently changed doesn’t really seem to me to be a very good answer. You guys work there and it seems reasonable that when a question is asked and answered there is some level of responsibility on their part to actually give the right answer.
Thanks Jim your incompetence cost me several hours of time. In the future you should get your off your lazy duff and take a look at your inventory.

Knowledgeable, respectful, helpful and prompt. Staffed by motorheads like me. They can always get the part I need — presumably from a magic warehouse somewhere in town, since I can call with a fairly esoteric request (I need a lower control arm bushing for a 2000 Audi TT… pre-​recall) and they’ll have it a few hours later, ready for me to pick up.
Fluids. You want fluids? Tools. They’ve got those too — because sometimes a 1976 Scout shows up in my driveway and needs an idler arm pulled.
There may be auto parts stores that are more convenient. And there may be parts stores that are cheaper. But Winchester is still my go-​to store for just about everything that goes in, on, or around my cars.

These guys are always super helpful when I come in. I’ve had to replace the headlight bulbs a couple times and they treat me with respect and then put them in for me (first time said it would depend on how difficult they are as some are hard to reach) since mine was easy to reach. Will always take the time to give them my business!

I work at a smog check station in Campbell, literally auto zone auto parts store location is across the street from our business they do not carry smog supplies, so that was no help to me. Next on the list was OReilly auto parts. They don’t carry smog supplies either. So I’m getting a little frustrated and call a smog supplier to see if he works Sunday and told me he don’t deliver on Sundays.
Last but not least I called Winchester auto parts and ask if they carried the smog product I need. And fucxxng bingo they have it in Stock. I told them I would pick it up and they put it on hold for me.
I was out of the BAR 97 zero air gas for my smog machine for your info. Thank you Winchester auto parts. You guys came through when nobody else did.

I used to go to this shop several years ago when a friend of mine worked there, and hadn’t been there for a while. Due to an automotive project I have been working on, I ended up calling this shop when I couldn’t find some parts through several other stores.
These guys rock!
If they didn’t have a part, they pointed me in the direction to where I could find what I was looking for, and for most of the parts I needed, they were able to get them from their warehouse SAME DAY!

Knowledgable staff and they can get most parts they don’t have in two hours. Great place if you are tired of the crap parts and idiots that are at kragen.

Best place in the bay area to buy an e-​bike. First impression is that it does not look like any bike store, but boy am I happy I stopped by. The owner Steve is very passionate and he has tried out every bike that he sells. Jim is also a great, knowledgable and helpful person. I tested most of the bikes and got to do a longer trial with one of the bikes. It took me a while and I like to get educated before making a bigger purchase. I got emailed lots of information and links to independent product reviews. I know for a fact that without the excellent service I would have purchased the wrong bike. I’m so pleasantly surprised that there are people that still believe in that good service will bring them more business and an educated customer is a returning customer. If you ever get tiered of selling e-​bikes and parts you can always start educating other businesses how to treat customers and keep loving what you do!

Usually I give out good reviews because I normally receive good customer service but this visit to Winchester auto parts was the worst. I called in and asked specifically for a part and they said yes we can have it here in 2hrs. I said great I’ll show up after work. I get there and pick the part up and before I left I said this is the specific part I was requesting correct and the employee said yes! I asked what’s the return policy and he says just don’t open the package.
At this time I’m convinced that I have the right part after the employee confirmed that it was. I get home jack up my pickup take all the tools I need to swap the parts out. I pull the package from the box and the instructions are sealed in with the parts. I open the package to pull the instructions out and sure enough it’s the wrong part !
I’m not writing a bad review cause of the wrong part it’s the way they didn’t take care of it. Since I opened the package they couldn’t return it without getting approval from the manufacturer. I called to let them know that they gave me the wrong part and their response was well we can’t take it back cause you opened it and that they had to get approval which would take a day. Well 3 days had passed and no word from them. I call to find out what’s up and they said I’ll have to talk to a manager at which in this case he’s not in today. The run around is all I was getting.
I didn’t need the part they gave me so I still have it. The point I’m trying to get across is that because they’re a mom and pop store they think they can treat you and talk to you the way they want to. Joe who works their was very disrespectful over the phone.
It’s been over a week now and I’m still waiting for their phone call to at least get the right part. After their mistake they can’t make it right. C’mon man. Great store but customer service sucks.

They obviously don’t need another 5 star review, but they deserve it… I’ve been here a few times before and they’ve always been friendly and helpful for any basic questions. I bought a wiper blade about 2 months ago and just today decided to put it on only to realize that the blade came with no adapter…
It’s been so long that I’d already tossed the receipt, so as I headed to the store I was fully prepared for some long ordeal due to my lack of receipt — the blade was completely unused so I figured anyone with common sense should believe me, but you never know. When I arrived I explained that the wiper came with no adapter and they we’re just like «hmm that’s odd» and then just went to the back and swapped me a new one. They said don’t worry about the receipt, no worries. It may not seem like much, but to me that goes a long ways for service!

My daughter’s car needed to be repaired and we had one heck of a time finding a certain part. Someone suggested Winchester auto which I never heard of…
When I called the guy knew exactly what I was looking for which was nice because I dealt with so many other parts places including the dealership and autozone, which two different times sold me the wrong part! Winchester auto didn’t do that. They knew what part I needed right away! Which translates to they know how and what and where parts go on a vehicle… Winchester auto actually had the part in stock! That I needed for a 1984 that I would have had to wait 45 days for through Nissan dealer to ship it from Japan and Auto Zone couldn’t even get the actual part!

best place for after market parts. i have searched for a toyota camry 97 air intake valve, every person in Ca costs about $ 99 to $ 175 and 24 hrs to 48 hrs time frame and fortunately winchester auto parts carry that part in stock and cost around $ 60. that not only saved my money but also time and very friendly service to remember for life.

I had one mission: windshield wipers
I’ve been long overdue on getting them. I had just got off work early and decided to stop by here since I always pass by.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I needed help. Told the man what I needed and he promptly started looking up the sizes to my wipers. They had both front wipers in stock, but apparently my itty bitty back wiper is something they didn’t have. It really is very small! We joked about how silly it was and he even went to the parking lot to check it out.
After I purchased them, he offered to install them for me. We went through the back and he installed my wipers for me. I was there for maybe 10 mins and I had the best service. From the walk in to the second I sat back in my car.
Thank you Winchester Auto Parts! I’ll be coming back here for my automobile needs, for now… I’ll be hunting for my tiny back windshield wiper!

I was totally overwhelmed to even step a foot in an auto parts store and pretend I knew anything about cars. All I needed was a starter and Omar was a great help on the phone and in person. He’s very approachable and doesn’t make you feel like «the girl who know absolutely nothing about a car». This store is great for parts and the prices are unbeatable. I recommend this place!

This place rocks! I can probably end my review with just that, but I wont! Let me tell you guys why they rock!
First off, the prices here are incredible! They are really hard to beat for anything auto. From oil filters to tire pressure sensors, these guys got it! I have ordered quite a few parts from these guys over the phone, and when I go to pick it up, they’ll have it set for me. They ask a lot of questions about my car to get exactly what I need as well.
The staff here is indeed very knowledgeable and fun! I never feel any uncomfortable pressure from these guys when I ask a question or need assistance on something.
Overall; great prices, and wonderful customer service! An all-​around great palce to shop!

I went to Winchester Auto to get tire cables for my trip to Tahoe this weekend. The guys there were so helpful. They taught me how to put the cables on with the demo they had. I went out to the parking lot to practice putting them on my car. One of the guys came out to check on me and taught me again how to put them on. Thanks guys at Winchester Auto!!!
