One star is actually one too many. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I moved in Sept. from Vallejo to Reno. The estimate was $ 856. They had me sign the contract before everything was filled out. Then they loaded the truck. After it was almost all loaded, they said it would be $ 9,000! I started a new job the following week and was trapped. They said I would get a lot back in refunds. I was charged $ 250 warehousing fee. I was told that it was if they had to change trucks, but I would get it back. Same truck showed up. I never got it refunded. I was charged $ 499. «special delivery» fee. It took 3 months for someone to tell me what that was. It was filled in afterwards. They said I had requested the stuff to be delivered the next day. I hadn’t. It is a 3 ½ trip, for Christ’s sake! That’s the day they said they would deliver. No special request. Paid $ 125 reassembly fee. They never put the stuff together. I was told by George in October that I would get all that refunded. I have yet to see the money. Plus they broke about $ 2,000 worth of antiques and a new dining room table. Why did I buy insurance? At first, they were nice. Then they started lying and being rude. Melissa, George and some new guy named Mark that they passed me off to. It is now almost February and still no money. I told them that I would publish how I felt, and now they are saying that is a threat, and they are withholding my money indefinitely. This company should not be in business. They are crooks and you pay them to vandalize your things. A dishonest company, whose owners should be in jail.

This was possibly the worst horror story regarding a simple move I have ever heard. This company showed up 1 day and 6 hours late. Yes, this should have been a huge red flag! The 3 man crew (I paid extra for the 3^rd man… another HUGE mistake) was really the equivalent of 1 capable mover. The price I was quoted apparently did not include securing the 3 items, using a dolly, bubble wrap, blankets, etc. REALLY?!? They seriously tried to get an additional $ 1500 from me for a $ 400 move! It was crazy. But, that’s not the worst part. They completely RUINED my hardwood floors to the tune of $ 6000 and REFUSE to return my calls or e-​mails regarding the damage. They also ruined one of my custom overhead cabinets, I know, how did they manage that one?!?
It was a stressful, horrible experience. Please please NEVER use these people!
I WISH I would have seen this Unilocal information prior to hiring these people!

Recently our mom passed away in Stockton, Calif., she had lived in a studio apartment in an assisted living. The point is that we had very little to move, 1 twin mattress, a day bed frame, 2 floor lamps, recliner chair and a 4 drawer chest! Melissa quoted me and sent me an estimate for 693.00 to move the above to Los Angeles. I questioned her back and forth to be assured that there would be NO other hidden charges! Melissa promised there would not!
On the day of the move 3 guys showed up one of them named Eugene, a rude arrogant person. He put several sheets of paper down and asked me to sign all of them and check various paragraphs, when I questioned what they were for he was very vague… then came the page where he was to have suppose to record all charges… it was blank and I refused to sign until he filled in the blanks. By this time all of the items were on the truck and they were ready to go… He informed me that I owed 1500.00 and had to pay 60 per cent up front. I called Melissa she said that she would get back to me in 30 minutes which she never did. The rude bully of a mover left with my items. I called the manager John, he lowered the bill by 300.00! Wooooopie big Shit, huh?
To make matters worse we were told the movers would arrive the day before Christmas that day came and went, I called Melissa only to find out that our stuff was still in their warehouse… 4 days later at 7:30 P.M. our stuff was delivered. I WOULD NEVER NEVER NEVER use this Company they are thieves and scam artist!!! Very unpleasant experience at a time in our life that was already stressful from losing our Mom!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. IT IS SCAM…
I recently started an email chain with Melissa (Moving Company Manager) and we agreed upon a price of $ 85.00 per hour maximum 3 hours. I was moving from apartment to house. I did not have much furniture and boxes. Again, they referred me to their BBB A+ ratings and I agree when I clicked on it, it showed up rating for other company in other region but with the same name. When I told them there are other companies who are willing to do it for $ 75.00 per hour, she sent me bad reviews of those companies.
Anyways, when they showed up, they asked me to sign me for all the paperwork in advance. (binding, non-​binding charges, basically I am agreeing to pay all the charges in access of my original contract). Once I signed those document, the guy went out and came in after few minutes and said, it is going to cost me $ 800.00 dollars for 3 mile move within a city. I said, I dont need service and I will hire somebody else. Their plan is to take full benefit of my situation. The moving company that showed up at my door step was a third party and not world wide moving. So I guess world wide moving is just a link between us and the moving company. They called Melissa and she told me that I have to pay 800.00 dollars and when I said no I cant. she started SHOUTING AT ME. We decided to do moving ourselves. Few minutes later I got a call from owner of the third party moving company and told me that he will do his best and just pay 500.00 dollars. I disagreed again. I took all my paperwork back that I signed from the guy. THIS WAS THE BEST STEP ON MY PART. The owner called me again and started shouting at me and asked me to give all documents back. When I said no, he told me that he will call police. I said let me do that favor for you and he hung up on me. The guys that showed up were very nice but I think they were just working for the wrong company and they had nothing to do with it.
Anyways, giving threats is not acceptable and we will take action against the third party owner.
BOTTOMLINE, DO NOT HIRE THESE COMPANY AT ALLL…
