Cafe Cesar

Truly sad this place closed down, the owner personally took our orders and the food was absolutely great. I had the fish tacos, best tacos i’ve had in a long time, and the speghetti marinara. The atmosphere he created alone was enough to make me want to go back every time I traveled anywhere near Dana Point. Please come back Cesar.

Just had to close down I hope they open up soon 2 days closed and I already miss their food

This place has the best pizza ever! It’s thin, crispy, and it’s all about the toppings. Perfect blend of spices and fresh toppings. The owner is always there and cares that customers get the best experience.

This place rocks! Great pizza but my favorite is the stromboli, such great flavors. The owner is extremely friendly. Everytime I’ve been here he has been a one man operation, from cook to cashier. Parking can be a little tight but there is parking in the back of the building too.

Leaving Casper’s Wilderness Park after a hike with my husband, sister and brother and wanted some lunch. I Unilocaled and saw that they have 4.5 stars, so I figured it would be good. Well, it wasn’t…it was delicious! I ordered the California burger with sweet potato fries, my husband had the Traditional Stromboli, my sister ordered the Spinach Artichoke Chicken pizza, and my brother had the Pesto Chicken Pizza. All the food was flavorful, and the ingredients were fresh. I would definitely drive out here from Anaheim to have it again! The owner is also professional and has a great sense of humor.

Just took hubby there for the first time for breakfast. «That was off the hook» were his exact words! He had the Ciciliano Omelet and I had the Cesar Omelet — his had meat, mine didn’t. Both were OUTSTANDING omelets with lots of flavor and good, fresh ingredients. I’ve been there a couple of times before and have never been disappointed. The owner, Bijhan (sp?), is so nice and willing to accommodate his customers. He makes you feel like family!
Go there — you will not be sorry.

This place is SOOO GOOD!!! I went in for the first time with my best friend and we were greeted by the owner. He asked us if it was our first time and we said yes, he told us to choose where we would like to he seated so, we sat in the «ocewnview» section as he called it. The food was delicious, we both ordered the Lasagna, it was really good, like a party in my mouth. The service we spectacular the owner made sure everything was perfect. My friend and I were debating on whether or not to get dessert and sure enough he brings out dessert for both of us. The dessert he brought out was not on the menu but it was so yummy. Overall, it was a great experience and both my friend and I are going back.

I loved their shrimp avocado salad. My daughter absolutely loved her spaghetti marinara with garlic bread. Although I thought my wife’s pizza looked amazing, she thought the alfredo sauce in her chicken alfredo didnt taste as good and could have been better.

Whenever my family can’t agree on what we want for dinner, we always agree on Café Cesar.
As soon as you pull into the plaza, there is usually a spot right up front, as if it was waiting for you. The open doors welcome you into a quaint café with great music that is enjoyable and not ear blistering loud, allowing for casual or deep conversations.
Bizahn, the owner always greets us with a smile and asks us how we are doing and is quick to get drinks and menus as soon as we sit, which is awesome and vary rare for any other restaurant to do. The food is top notch and I recommend anything on the menu with Pesto. My mother who normally doesn’t enjoy pizza, will always crave pizza whenever we go.
Don’t let the small amount of freeway construction make you miss out on this diamond in the rough, as Café Cesar is one of the best hidden secrets San Juan Capistrano has to offer. Enjoy amazing food, atmosphere, great times and wonderful prices!

We were on the way to San Diego and wanted to grab a bite to eat. We found this place, which is located in an unassuming strip mall. However, don’t let the outside/​inside décor fool you — the pizza is ridiculously good!
We ordered one of the Mediterranean inspired pizzas and it was hot and made with fresh ingredients. We enjoyed every bite. Also ordered a california hamburger which was actually not half bad and pretty decent sized.
As others have mentioned, the owner (the man) is very nice and accommodating. Would have given 5 stars, except when I went up to pay — the lady (Assuming is the wife) was standing there talking to one of her friends casually. Even as I approached and I’m sure she saw me, she continued her conversation for a good 2 – 3 minutes as I stood there. I thought that was kind of a strange to keep a customer waiting to have a conversation with a friend… anyway, delicious food nonetheless.

We ordered gyros, Ceaser’s favorite pizza, and beef tacos. Bijhan, the owner/​chef, greeted us, took our order, made our food, and brought it out. Everything was wonderful! Fresh, made in house from scratch, and just plain enjoyable all around.
We will definitely be back and wish Bijhan the best!!!

This place is wonderful! I came here for breakfast and the service was great, food tasted so good, and was reasonably priced. Coffee was fresh too! The owner is very nice! I will definitely be returning!

Just found this little gem in the heart of San Juan Capistrano. .wow!!!
If you love good, fresh food, a nice and clean café and wonderfully friendly service… you just HAVE to come here.
We tried the chicken and artichoke pizza and the bbq chicken pizza and they were both sooo good! Fresh ingredients, not oily at all and the crust was thin and crunchy. .amazing.
Glad we had leftovers to take home.

I’ve been here a couple of times and noticed that it seemed very empty with very few customers. It was enough to keep me away at first, but one day I was starving and checked out the Unilocal reviews. They were all favorable so I gave it a try.
It’s a family-​run café and the owner is so sweet & friendly. It’s clear he prides himself on customer service as well as his food. I’ve now had the Philly cheesesteak stromboli twice as well as the steak quesadilla. Both were delicious.
The food takes a little while to come out, but you can view into the small kitchen and you can see that he is personally making the food, just for you.
I highly recommend stopping by.

Ordered the Cesar special pizza! With sundried tomatoes instead of regular and it definitely added the right touch. It was perfect. I loved it! Split the 14″ with my friend. Everything on the menu sounded absolutely delicious – it was so difficult choosing something. We had the cinna-​pecan tromboli for dessert for $ 8 and it was yummy.
Great customer service! The owner (?) made us feel perfectly welcome and I had a lovely experience. He was very friendly, joked a lot, and made sure we had a great time. I liked the piano music. Very relaxing.
My friend and I were in the area and we Unilocaled places around the area to eat and I’m SOO glad we picked it. I absolutely adore this place and definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a cool greek-​italian place! :)
