Working with Catherine was so helpful. As a professional who lives with anxiety while also teaching others how to make Anxiety their superpower, I wasn’t sure how hypnosis would help me. My request was pretty clear. When Catherine asked me how I wanted to feel, I said«The way I feel after one glass of wine, I want to feel that relaxed, at ease and ready to engage and participate in conversations.» I never thought I could feel that way with a little liquid courage or keeping in the company of small groups. I went to see Catherine for help with my insomnia. I was waking up in the middle of the night with my mind racing, anxiety, and heart beating fast., worrying and focused on negative things. Catherine helped me to sleep better, deeper, and the anxiety stopped. I am focused on positive things and feeling calmer. She also helped me with procrastination, staying more organized, and some pain issues I was having. I was unsure if I could respond to hypnosis but found Catherine to be excellent, helpful, patient, and calming. I think the results are better than going to a psychologist and just talking about your issues!

My son met with Catherine four times in 2015. She took her time to get to know my son in the first visit, with my input. I wasn’t present for hypnotherapy sessions themselves, and my son always said he had positive experiences with the sessions. My son has a communication disability, and this was the first time we ever used hypnotherapy. I observed results very quickly in some areas which were causing him behavior and fixation issues. My son lives with me, so I know what to look for. Before the hypnotherapy, we had my son go through an extended(over a year, 3 times a week) behavior modification and counseling program. While the behavior modification program did work, it took a long time and the results were very gradual. The hypnotherapy, on the other hand, seemed to work right away. On our most recent visit, my son indicated he wanted to go(it wasn’t me who initiated the visit). He seemed to sense when he needed to go in again. Maybe we’ll be back for a refresher, but for now we’re very pleased with the results and don’t have any appointments scheduled for further visits. Our experience was very positive and I would highly recommend Catherine for her abilities.

I would definitely recommend Capistrano Hypnotherapy to anyone wanting to dig a little deeper than any other type of therapy. I was very cynical of hypnosis at first and didn’t think I would actually go under. However, Cathy really took her time asking the right questions before the actual hypnosis part of our appointment so I felt that she really wanted to get to the heart of the areas that I wanted to improve. I usually see her 2 – 3 times a year and I always notice changes over time. I never feel like she has any other agenda than to help me find the inner strength to help myself. That to me is the best benefit, giving my subconscious the tools to make the positive choices that I need on my own. Cathy has a real gift and I appreciate her helping me help myself.
