I think the store is great for people who like to collect things… but it would be better to shop in a location that doesn’t smell of cat urine. My friend and I were perusing the goods and noticed worn shoes amongst the items for sale. Positive: The owner was warm and friendly. There’s a WIDE selection of eclectic items for purchase, new and old.

Fun to explore, lots of lil nooks and crannies. A lot of stuff for sale seems to be dirty or have dust on it though. I understand it’s outside but it’s slightly off putting. Tons of really cute fairy garden accessories for sale, and lots of great gift items.

I visited this place during a day trip to San Juan Capistrano with my sister and my cousin and was really surprised at what a wonderful shop it was… they have a beautiful selection of items for house and garden; I had a hard time not to buy one of everything in the store. There were additional surprises with every turn we made. Their items are of museum quality and their plants are well cared for and lovely. I will go back again anytime I am in the neighborhood. I wish I lived closer.

Stopped for lunch and visit with my Mom and Aunt. Loved this store. Chock full of things I wanted and made mental notes to come back again for unique gifts. We came by train and it was a fun stop off for shopping…

They make these adorable fairy gardens with miniatures in interesting planters. The woman who does this is so creative and artistic. i bought mine for $ 45, which i take care of still. And it still looks great. It’s so much fun to look around this shop because of all the unique and beautiful things they have here. A visit to San Juan Capistrano should be a chance to come visit this shop. It is located past the railroad tracks where the historic Los Rios street is. You make a right, and it’s about 100 yards down on the right-hand side.

Cottage Home & Garden is a fun place to stop while meandering along Los Rios Street, after coffee from Hidden House or a divine meal from Ramos House. It hosts a variety of adorable gifty items, though my favorites are their garden goodies, specifically their handmade birdhouses(an especially cute one sits on my fence right now). Stop by next time you’re in the area.

I love this place. The gift shop has a nice selection of plaques, garden decorations and other crafty items at reasonable prices. Like the gardens, the layout of everything in the store is pleasing to the eye. A real local gem. The shop is full of well crafted items for the home and garden with a surprisingly wide range of prices. You really can’t go wrong for gift items — the recipient will feel special and loved.

This is a wonderful little gift shop that also has a fairy garden section with fairy accessories and plants etc. The price seem to be fair and they offer classes on how to make fairy gardens which I have yet to check out sometime. Oh, and make sure to park in the Los Rios Park parking lot and walk on foot to the Los Rios street, it takes only about a minuet or two walking, I’m not familiar with the neighborhood and it didn’t seem to have parking on the street!
