I had a dining room light fixture suddenly decide not to work. I know I am capable of trouble shooting it, but I just didn’t have time. I was referred to Excel by a friend. I called at 9:00 and they fit me in at 3:00, even called me 30 minutes before arrival so I could leave work to meet them. Justin arrived, had the problem solved and fixed in no time. He even went on to fix another minor problem I had. If you are looking for great customer service, fast, quality work, then this is the electrical contracting company for you!

Very happy with my service from Excel Electric. I had three Infratech heaters installed along with new outdoor chandelier wiring and a new outdoor outlet. Josh and Cory were on time, professional, clean and polite. Tom the owner also followed up on all my questions and every detail. If you want a company that does a job the right way, puts safety first and values their customers, then hire these guys. I will definitely use them again.

I called this morning and spoke with Tom. My job was small and quick. Tom was able to send Justin by (within the hour) before heading to a bigger job. Justin made short work of it efficiently and quickly. Also I must say that in addition to being thorough and clean, the thing I liked most was that Tom and Justin were both so personable. Their customer service deserves more than 5 stars! Overall, I couldn’t be more pleased. Thanks guys!

Had them over to to install a plug and get a non-​working outlet working. Showed up prompt, on time, friendly and business like, got everything done quickly, neatly, cleanly and efficiently. Priced very fair. Shoutout to Josh who did the work and explained everything he did and found, and Tom, who called me on a Sunday to confirm an appointment. Great folks, highly recommend.

I just closed on a home in Laguna Niguel and needed inside light fixtures replaced with can lights, outdoor spotlights installed and porch lights replaced, a new chandelier hung in the dining room and the GFI outlets in the kitchen replaced. I called Excel and they came out same day of call. Very communicative before the visit which I appreciated. They arrived on time. Josh & Bryan did an excellent job. Very careful of my hardwood floors, very professional and courteous and they did great work. Price was very reasonable for the high quality of the work. Once I move in, I’m having them back to do the hidden wiring for the wall mounted televisions, some downlights in the outdoor garage eaves and high end outdoor accent lighting on the palm trees. Highly recommend.

I have to say that from the time of scheduling the service to the promptness of being there when promised I was impressed.
As a business owner I am on Unilocal & also use Unilocal in looking for trusted professionals as well, I had a job where I needed a electrical contractor, I found Tom, gave them a call and was more than impressed with the professional job that they provided at my clients residence.
In the future if I need a electrical contractor I will be using Excel Electric.
Price matched the quality of the work that they performed, no sales /​bate & switch with these guys either.

When one of your outlets starts sparking and half of the outlets in your home go out, you realize it’s time to call an electrician. Who to call, that’s always the question?! When I went to check my breaker box I noticed the big ‘Excel Electric’ sticker and figured they must have done work on the home before I bought it 3 years ago. I checked the reviews here on Unilocal,and they all looked good so I went with them and made an appointment. They sent Mike out who arrived promptly and within the window he was supposed to arrive. He was dressed professionally and friendly. As I was paying hourly, I was hoping he could find the problem quickly and it wouldn’t be too much of a hit. He found and fixed the issue in less than 30 minutes and explained the problem with the faulty outlet and how it was affecting the whole circuit that wrapped around the house. He also helped me diagnose a ceiling fan issue I was having in another room. All in less than 45 minutes. Excel Electric is Top Notch. Honest. Trustworthy. Professional. Request Mike, he is awesome!

I talked to several electricians over phone about fixing the aluminum wiring in our house by pig-​tailing it with copper. After talking with Tom at Excel electric, I made the decision to go with them. It is more than just finding the lowest per fixture cost. It is also about finding someone experienced and knowledgable. Tom took the time to answer my questions and gave me a reasonable quote over the phone. He also explained that would bring my outlets up to code by installing GFI outlets in the bathrooms and kitchens, something that wasn’t there before. Overall, great communication and did a good job.

I had a chandelier in my home that was coming out of the box in the ceiling and posed a danger of falling. After calling several electricians and being told that they either didn’t have a tall enough ladder (ceiling is 20 feet), or couldn’t get to it right away I called Tom at Exel Electric. He was very responsive, had the right equipment, and was able to send someone out the same day. His men did a very professional job and I was charged a fair price. I will use their services again and would recommend them to my friends.

I initially wrote a poor review stating that they never contacted me back after leaving a voicemail message. The owner contacted me shortly afterwards and apologized citing a phone system issue. He then offered to make it right by offering a discount and giving them another shot. I set it up and they fixed my issues quickly and professionally. The owner also knocked down my bill by 50%! Definitely using them again. Grade A service.

I wish I had more for them to fix. They fixed some kitchen lights that 2 other contractors could not fix.
They were late on two visits, but someone called well ahead to tell me they were running late.
Josh was great, and the owner, Tom, knew the status of the work and called twice to help coordinate things.

I had a great experience with this company. They offered to send someone out the same day (which I didn’t need but it was still nice to have the option). The electrician arrived on time for our appointment, was very friendly and prepared for the job. He replaced half the outlets on an entire floor of our house and fixed three light switches, all in less than an hour. And then he had time to replace some bulbs for us and pointed out a hazard on our chandelier and fixed it. He was fast, clean, friendly and professional. And to top it off we got a 10% senior discount.
We will be using Excel Electric for all of our future electrical work.

I called the owner Tom with a 24 hr notice that I had to have electric for my spa I was trying to get in to surprise my family.
Not only did Toms’ worker Josh handle a 80ft exterior run in pvc to a junction box (240v) with multiple breakers, but he did so exactly at 1pm when the crane arrived with spa for install.
Amazing turnaround, and something lese rare today: Cleaned up every bit of trash, electrical wire on site.
