The Botox was amazing. No lines and most of all I looked natural! Carrie just did fillers on me for the first time. I even took a couple days for down time just in case I bruised. Renu is a peaceful, quiet, small, pretty space. Love going there for Facials with Melissa and Botox and Laser with Carri. I especially enjoy when they have specials! I’ve been to Renu a few times over the past 4 years for some Botox treatments. I love Carrie, she has always been professional and honest about my treatments. I’ve always left feeling more beautiful than I am. I’ve never felt pressured into buying any products or treatments. She explains her procedures and makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. I have never had a bad experience with botox and will see Carrie before my wedding. Melissa at the front desk is always polite and helpful. I’d recommend Renu before trying a Groupon and taking a chance on your face.

I debated on whether to do this review, because I hate giving bad reviews, but if it will save someone else from experiencing what I did then at least something positive came out of this. For starters this place is super cute, clean and looks like they offer some amazing products and services. I booked an easy appointment for Botox. I’ve had Botox before but only injected in my 11’s and I wanted something a little more substantial (specifically a brow lift and some in the horizontal lines on my forehead). When I arrived Carrie the injector was on the phone for a lengthy amount of time trying to calm down a patient who was obviously upset with her fillers and the amount of bruising she was experiencing. This should have been a red flag for me, but wasn’t. Once I was brought to the room, Carrie spent a few minutes discussing what I wanted, made some suggestions and then handed me papers to fill out. She didn’t seem to spend any time really looking at my face and observing how I move my muscles, and she didn’t even mark on my face where she was going to inject (which has happened at both the plastic surgeons office’s where I previously had Botox). Red flag number 2. No numbing gel was offered, instead she told me to hold and ice pack to my face and then leaned me back and injected 38 units into my face. I will say that she was nice, friendly, and made me feel comfortable but that was about it. Fast forward to two weeks later– I hate my results, and I can’t stand looking in the mirror. I have ZERO movement of my eyebrows or forehead (And yes I understand that Botox paralyzes the muscles– however I have friends who still have movement of their brows), and my brows drooped SO bad I basically have no eyelid, I look tired and sad, and the eye brow lift, well that’s non existent. I also have a new vertical line that popped on my eyebrow up as a result of the Botox. So much for ridding myself of lines. I look terrible. I feel ugly and unattractive. I have some softening of my lines, BUT not at all worth the disfigurement of my face now. I completely understand that Botox works differently for all people, but Carrie failed to even mention that this was at all a possibility. Had I known that any of this could have happened, I never would have ever got injected in the first place. I’ve since had my face reviewed by a plastic surgeon and he confirmed several things– 1) She injected WAY to close to the eyebrow and 2) Way too much and 3) Not in the right area to produce a brow lift. After returning to Carrie to explain how upset I was, she basically said I was «emotional,» and that I got the «look of a cheap date.» Really? Why would you say that? She seemed more concerned with talking about a peel she just had then looking at my face and my before and after pictures. She did offer to comp me a few units of Botox in a few weeks to see if she could correct some of the brow problems, but why would I go back at this point? What she should have done is comp me the $ 380 for the Botox, apologize, and promise that she will tell her clients going forward what the possible side effects could be if Botox is injected too much, and in the wrong spots. I so wish this had been a great experience and resulted in me loving my new face and not having to cringe when I look in the mirror for the next three months, or lift up my brow and eyelid to put on my makeup. It’s terrible to have to go through during the holidays. So with that, bottom line for me, I am going to a board certified plastic surgeon for anything related to injections in my face, I urge you to do the same!

Love these ladies! The facility is very clean, smells divine (like a spa) and the esthetician and nurse (Melissa and Carrie) are the NICEST EVER! I love that Carrie is honest and doesn’t try to just up-​sell clients. If she truly doesn’t think you need something she will not suggest it. She also manages to tactfully offer suggestions without making you feel like an old leather saddle. (I.E. she kindly noticed my sun damage on the driver’s side of my body from commuting to work in the morning! — I would have NEVER noticed this yet she didn’t make me feel stupid or ugly and came across compassionate and loving). LOVE IT HERE!

I adore Renu! They are friendly, honest and very professional. I had recently moved from Las Vegas when I visited Renu and had been doing injectables almost every month for quite some time. So much in fact that my friends began to tell me I had a «plastic look.» But, I wasn’t listening to them, I wanted to keep going!
When I went to Renu, they were so sweet! Melissa told me that I needed about ¼ of what I was asking for! She actually advised me against doing anymore injectables for a year or so in order to see what I really needed. She gave me a little botox and sent me on my way feeling naturally beautiful, empowered and happy. Renu is a wonderful place with friendly staff who genuinely want to make their clients feel beautiful. They aren’t just after your money and certainly look after your overall well being. 5 star service!

I agree with everyone here. This is huge, since I am a Jersey girl and trust no one. Melissa was forthright, didn’t oversell, even when I wanted to buy some products, she said I didn’t need them! This makes me want to use and recommend them more.
I had gotten a facial and microdermabrasion (first time) and was completely awestruck with the results. This was the best facial extraction I have had even compared tosome fancy-​high end locations and has this done.
Can’t wait for my next appointment in a month! So awesome!

I went to Renu last week using one of the online coupons and was so pleased! I highly recommend this office for anything you need done. They really take the time to explain each procedure and are very informative. The office is immaculate and has a very relaxing atmosphere. I am going back today…

SERVICE — Micro-​peel (microdermabrasion followed by light chemical peel) through a $ 49 special (half price) from Screaming Daily Deals. Melissa (aesthetician for my appt.) treated me NO differently with my «deal» and my experience was incredible.
She was kind about my skin (I needed at LEAST a facial & extractions) and didn’t sound negative or «Oh wow, it’s been a while…» type of thing. After inquiring about my current routine and products, she affirmed me vs. scaring or shaming me into a new regimen, products or treatments today.
RECEPTION — Office is immaculate, beautiful and comfortable. I was greeted by name, paperwork ready and I was offered a water. As I filled everything out, Melissa inquired if I’d had this service before, (I had — 5 years ago, in a series of 3 treatments) then explained the appointment and asked about past spa experiences; what I liked and related what may be similar and different.
STAFF — Both Melissa and Carrie (owner — she is a nurse, I believe) were professional and upbeat. Recently, I’ve noticed other spas/​salons make negative or boastful comparisons to local competitors in an attempt to confirm their value. Probably a reaction to the economy, but the ladies at Renu were SO positive and professional — refreshing!
They educated me about my visit, products used during and what to expect in days following. Products recommended for aftercare were provided in sample size and I was told to TRY them to see if I liked them vs. trying to sell me a new skincare line site unseen.
MY EXPERIENCE — Renu has an UN-​intimidating, non-​pushy atmosphere. Many spas sell, sell, sell and push hard to sell product, upgrade your service and book a followup. Renu (and Melissa) did NOT do that!
–THIS IS A PERFECT PLACE TO TRY FOR FIRST TIMERS!–
She asked what products I use, (I’m a deal shopper — everything from Obagi, Origins, Dermalogica to Avon & Neutrogena) and recommended a few items in conjunction with what I have. She described other (more in-​depth) services when I asked, but at no time made me feel I «needed» more than I was getting.
PURCHASE & NEXT STEPS — She made her recommendations one time and I asked to purchase vs. being coerced. I purchased a retinol treatment/​cream ($ 50 – 60) after wards and tipped on full value of the service (vs. the cost of the deal). I got a coupon for $-off my next visit, detailed aftercare instructions and encouragement to call with skin questions at any time.
I wanted to return for 2 – 3 more micro-​peels (before my wedding this fall). Based on recommendation, I’ll instead likely opt for ONE stronger peel + micro (*VI Peel), which cost LESS than what I planned overall. I also may use her for my wedding makeup now.
The BEST part was that I walked in looking casual (like crap, actually — ha) with a coupon and seemingly the «cheap, coupon» client. I was treated to a wonderful time. Because of that, they just made a lifelong client — I am super impressed and can’t wait to go back!

I have known this spa for years and finally had the VI Peel and OMG my skin looks amazing! Carrie and Melissa are fantastic for all your aesthetic needs. Check them out ladies and gentlemen you will be so pleased with your results.

I went to Renu Facial and Body Aesthetics for botox and laser hair removal because I heard from a friend how clean and professional they were. They exceeded my expectations and I will never go anywhere else! They did an excellent job and I received great advice on skin care. I am going back in a week for a cellulite treatment. The prices are more than fair, and they have great specials!
