There were three barber’s in the shop, one just finished up with a customer and waved the next one in line over to his chair. The customer declined and pointed to the barber to the far left, Donnie. (I should’ve taken that guy’s lead BUT I didn’t and now, have this fun story to share.)
Waiting area —
The name of my butcher, excuse me, «barber,» was Chris. I’m a relatively laid back kinda client, not too picky, it’s hair, most of the time it grows back. Christ starts working on my hair and no more than three minutes in, he begins spewing his unsolicited political opinion on why Trump is the best man for the job. One word, «@sshat.» What are the odds? Of the three barbers in the shop, I get the one who catches the short bus to work from the trailer park. — «Get’er done!»
I let Chris ramble on for a few minutes more before cutting him off as nicely as I could, «Well, people can vote for a racist if they want to, that’s their prerogative. Bottom line, we will just have to wait and see results at the polls.» I had to repeat it several times before he finally shut the hell up about the matter.
The haircut felt rushed, sideburns were slightly off, with a few uneven lengths. I dunno, maybe Chris was having an off day, his man-​crush on Donald Trump had him by the uterus, or it was a long night and the corner liquor store was plum out of Thunderbird. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times, «Just say NO… Especially to meth!» (Chris, are you getting this?)
Chris mentioned that he’s been cutting hair for over thirty years, just goes to show you that time/​experience does not necessarily equate quality… Well, at least NOT good quality. Another idea, if he has been cutting hair for so long, one would think that Sherlock Holmes would’ve picked up a clue and learned that discussions regarding politics is not the best topic to have with clients. When Chris first started talking Trump, I felt like saying, «With all due respect, I have no desire discuss politics with someone who supports a blatant racist, so shut the f*k up, and just cut my hair. Thank you. So, how’s your day going?!»
After all, I was already in the barber’s chair and did not want to get into a confrontation and risk getting a jacked up haircut. Good thing too! I too a more diplomatic approach and still received a less than satisfactory cut, can you imagine how more f*k’d up it could’ve been? HAHAHA!
I was hoping to walk out of The Senõr Barber with an epiphany, «I’ve found a great local barber! My search is over!» Instead, what I discovered was that I just had a haircut by an idiot. (Sigh)

If you decide to try The Señor Barber and want a good haircut AND enjoy your time spent there, I strongly recommend NOT getting it done by Chris. Every family has its @sshat, The Senõr Barber has Chris.

Normally I get my hair cut by jed 4 stars … I walked in today and there was 3 guys 2 cutting hair one on his ass lounging didn’t even acknowledge me (he was white) he finally got up and asked me to sit I passed on him, Since he didn’t seem intrested, I told him I’ll wait for one of the other guys in chair #1 or last chair by wall mexican guy. They seemed they where almost done … So five mins later or so the mexican guy finished up and came up to me and said he’s going on lunch break and he only does appointment s Wtf and that if I want he can see me 2hrs later haha these guys must be rolling in cash to pass up a opportunity to make a few bucks and a get possible regular, I would pass on the sandwich and make that cash but that’s me. I was over the egos and went to old world in mission viejo and had a good experience. I would go back and see jed but he’s off on my only day I can swing in. Thursday May 26

This review is for ALEX! My 12 year old requested me to write this review asap. My son has longer skater hair and doesn’t like people messing with ‘his look’. Every time he needs a trim he is very anxious that the barber/​stylist will make him look like a hipster. That is his biggest fear. Seriously.
Anyhow, Alex had long hair and knew what was up. He respected my son’s look and did not try to make him into some trendy clean cut guy. We appreciated that. All in all this is literally the first time my son has walked out after a hair cut looking happy. Thank you so much, Alex! Now my son can do his thing (skate, beach, so on) and not be constantly praying for his hair to grow out. God bless you, man :)

Great place, fast service, good service and amazing people of God, very refreshing to meet people like these. I got a great haircut by Al and also a little bit of the gospel. You can’t beat that. To Al and his crew, God bless you and your families, stay joyful. Eddie.

Good barbers, nice place, fair price.

I took my son (3 years old) for a haircut, Marlon (I hope that’s how you spell it) cut my sons hair. He was patient and did an amazing job best haircut my son ever had. Usually we are always bummed after his cut but we love his hair and he loves it too! Definitely recommend this guy! Cool shop right in our fav town !

Went here a couple of times before and got good haircuts, but today is the last time I ever go here. The barber completely messed up the back of my hair and it looks awful. He only used the buzzers and he didn’t use a straight razor like the last time. I paid $ 16 for this but I wish I hadn’t. One of the worst haircuts I’ve ever got and now I’m going to have to pay someone to fix this.

They have now added extra chairs and are busier than ever. Use to come in and out within 30 min and now there so popular its about an hr wait and usually don’t take appointments. Still well worth the wait just recommend brining a game or book. Good thing is there is an amazing Mexican food restaurant a couple doors down with a store next to it as well.

Craig is my barber at señor barbers and he is phenomenal, only person i will go to, spends quality time every visit on the cut and at an affordable price. if you want a good experience, go to craig at señor barber.

All the other reviews are spot on. Great quality cut, great price, friendly folks, center of town, very short wait even on Friday afternoon rush hour.

BOSS!!! Just straight BOSS that’s guys are awesome!!! Al you are the man, personable, talkative, artiiist and most of all positive! The energy from this guy was unreal! Super nice and man did he give me a great a fade! Can’t say enough about this shop, just tell him what you want and BAM he delivers, found my new barber shop that’s for sure. Once again Al, thank you for the haircut it’s absolutely perfect! And not to mention the price! You go to any «hipster» barber shop or «salon» they rip you off and don’t even do that great of a job and a lot of them can be full of themselves, they knew everyone that was in there. Which only tells me they have tons of repeat clientele, can’t wait to get lined up again in a month!

The guys simply make you look sharp!

I’ve been trying a number of barber shops around the area, mostly in San Clemente, and wasn’t happy with the experience or the results until I tried Señor Barber. These guys do it right for a great price! What makes a proper cut for me, besides not missing spots, is the straight edge razor work to clean up around the ears, sideburns and neck. Way too many places rely on a small buzzer to do this and it’s just not good enough.
So, if you are looking for a proper cut, with a true, old-​fashioned, barber shop treatment, give this place a try and you will be another happy customer.

Best haircut I’ve ever had! Got it done before my wedding and I’ve never had anyone take so much time buzzing my hair. The employees take a lot of pride in their work. Walked out looking and smelling good. I’ll be back!

Great barbershop! I recently went in to get cleaned up for the Holidays. Alex welcomed me with smile on his face and performed a fantastic haircut. I couldn’t have asked for more. Alex’s attention to detail was much appreciated. I left with exactly what I wanted. The cost is very reasonable and I highly recommend this barbershop.
