The UPS Store

I know that UPS stores are privately owned, but I wish UPS held all of these stores to some kind of standard. Every time I go they’re either out of envelopes, express packs, or shipping labels/​weigh bills. It is ridiculous! And, if you’re just going in for the UPS service and not paying for any products they are outright rude. My husband and I have been treated poorly by employees/​owners, you name it. «Rude» is a trending word on the negative reviews for a reason. I imagine the 5 star reviews are given by family/​friends to balance out the 1 star reviews.

Had an employee go in for a LiveScan. My employee could not print out the form so she asked them if they could help her. They submitted the WRONG form. The owner was rude and not helpful. George the employee was nice. Not sure how he puts up with her. I also reported them to the State of CA DOJ.

If you use the notary at this location make sure you ask for a price BEFORE hand. The owner of the store was so busy worrying about what her employees were doing she didn’t explain the pricing. I have had documents notarized before and never paid more than $ 50 to $ 80 dollars. Well needless to say I was FURIOUS when she charged me $ 400.00 for 31 pages. They charge $ 10.00 per signature. She kept saying there are a lot of signatures here. $$ Come on… if you know it’s going to be that expense wouldn’t you give your customer a warning!!! All of their services and products are way overpriced. I will say the people are nice but you honestly feel like you’ve just been ripped off when you leave.

I’ve never really thought to write a review on a shipping store, but my experience today led me to do so. I was shipping a big ol’ 35 box to Texas, and I bought an online voucher for this UPS location ($ 30 for $ 50); It is not the closest to me, but I went there to save some money (shipping is just expensive). Christian, one of the employees, had to try and verify that they could even accept it as it shouldn’t have even been active and was supposed to only be for supplies (not shipping): OUCH! Christian verified the voucher online, got the owner, Nishi, on the phone and after a discussion, she decided to honor the voucher; Very stand-​up in my book. She said that the difference would end up out of her pocket, so I know that it must have been a difficult decision for her. Even though it isn’t the closest location, I will now be returning since this business, when faced with the decision of making a couple more bucks versus treating the customer, right did the latter.

This store is the best. I only go here and have always been treated like family. One of the few businesses that actually bother to know my name, Highly recommend!!! Always help me with all of my shipping needs. They are awesome!!! I think a lot of these reviews that are bad are FAKE!!! There are also a lot of not so nice customers. I have seen some of them.

I barely ever leave reviews but awful experience. Rude notary woman… Gave me attitude about something on the document that had absolutely nothing to do with me… Then the man finally corrected her… Then as we lean close in together to look at the document she proceeds to BURP in my freaking face.

I stopped by this location to print 2 documents from my email. It was 1130 am and his laptop wasn’t set up for customer use. I leave and come back 15 minutes later. It’s half way set up and doesn’t have internet. Finally we get internet, I get it set up to print and it won’t print. 15 minutes of trying to figure this out (I have a meeting to go to by the way) and I end up having to use their personal computer in the back of the store.
After 20 minutes of waiting for this nonsense to print out 10 copies of a 1 page document, he charges me $ 5 and some change. I look at my receipt and the ass hole charged me $ 3 for an hour of computer time. Are you kidding me? Avoid this place.

Very helpful. They have a livescan notary and shredding. I didn’t have my appropriate forms and they downloaded them from the internet for me.

This store sucks! The owner is an Indian lady with horrible customer skills and treats her employees like crap! I came in the other day to get a price for a shopping box. Next thing I know, the owner takes my item and proceeds to box it up without giving me a price. Once packaged, the lady tells me the cost is 25 dollars!!! I almost blew my lid and literally wanted to punch the lady. She knew I was upset and offered a discount. I still got charged 20 dollars!!! What a rip off. Don’t go here.

It Is rare for me to bather with a review however for the good of our community it is worth the heads up. You do not want to do business through this store.

Very poor customer service and dishonest woman behind the counter. I needed a bit of packing tape for two small packages, the woman pointed me towards rolls for sale on the wall. I pointed to my packages and commented how small they were and asked if I could just use theirs (after having purchased 2 sheets of bubble wrap at crazy prices). She smiled and slid me the tape dispenser and all seemed well. I gave her the packages and checked out. As I was leaving I looked at my receipt and noticed 3 one dollar charges which seemed odd since I only had two packages and the two pieces of bubble wrap were listed. I went back to ask for clarification and the woman told me it was for the tape I used. I complained that she never told me I was being charged but she insisted she told me which I know she didn’t, I’d never pay $ 3.00 for a couple strips of tape. Ultimately we argued back and forth and I let it lie since I needed my packages shipped.
On one hand it’s a minor issue but on the other, charging me for something and not telling me seems very shady. I won’t go back.

Before I could even reach the counter, the guy behind shouts out, «We can’t ship your package… oh no your box is too damaged.» Little did he know I was coming in to buy a new box and tape and that I was just using a box from Costco to transport my items to the UPS store. Well I guess if they don’t want my business, I will take it elsewhere and went down to the street to the post office where it cost me half as much to send my items. I feel sorry for the owner of this store, I know I would be upset if my employees were ushering my customers out the door.
