My Fiancé is a former resident in one of Community Realty’s rentals in Hayward. She hasn’t lived in the house for a few years and got a call from her former roommate saying she was still on the lease. My Fiancé asked me to contact community realty and see if there was anyway to be taken off the lease. Normally this is not possible but after speaking with Ashlei and Erica and explaining what had happened. They said please write us a letter explaining your situation and also have the old roommate and current resident write a letter stating they’re ok taking over the full lease and having you be taken off. Erica said she would review the lease and letters. After a few days Erica contacted me and approved the removal of my fiancé from the lease. As a former property manager myself, I knew the difficulty and sensitivity of releasing someone from a lease. I’m so impressed with Community and I would be happy to work with them again in the future. Thank you Community!

I have worked with community realty for over 8 years. First with Erica to rent a townhouse for my daughter and recently to rent another unit for my son I worked with both Erica and Ashlei. Both times extremely professional during the process and afterwards regarding any issues. They have an online form to send any issues in, I have found they are very prompt at answering and fixing anything that needed to be fixed no matter how minor. When the repair person needed to come out they would work with all of our schedules!

I am a current tenant and old employee from this company & I have had a great experience with them. My dad have been working for this company for many years and Cecilia has always being so kind and friend, Ashley is also a very nice and friendly person. I have recommended this place to friends whom have been looking for a rental & they have all been satisfied with the help they have received.

I have worked with Maria Fernandez in a few transactions and she have ALWAYS gone above and beyond for her clients. Maria is extremely dedicated to her profession and makes any and all deals smooth ones. if you want someone with integrity, loyal and professional call her and give her a try, you will not regret it.

Earlier this year my family and I found ourselves in the scary situation of possibly having to move from our home town. The property owner thought she wanted to sell her home and we had 90 days to move, We searched for 2 ½ months on our own and could not find anything in our price range. I happened upon a rental in another town and called to inquire, Ashlei was so helpful and when I explained our situation and our fear of leaving our home town, she went the extra mile to find us a home in Oakland, in our price range and that allowed pets. The application process was easy and we were quickly approved. Fortunately, for us, the property owned changed her mind and we got to stay in our home but it was great and comforting to have someone caring like Ashlei to help us during that scary time.

I have been working with Community Realty for quite some time now and Cecilia has always been a huge help. Her customer service is outstanding, she is always very kind and helpful. Their entire staff is very helpful and I have referred many of our friends and family members to them for rental properties that they have.

David cerruti is a dishonest agent. His contractors left 3 large puddles of paint they used for the house buried in the backyard. I ruined my shoes and paints stepping in 1. This is environmentally awful, he lied after I emailed him about it, and my favorite runners are gone. He tried to say someone else went in our backyard, with the same color paint as our house, dumped and hid it with a small layer of durt? Was a jerk move.

They sent one maintenance man to do all jobs when something needed to be looked at on the property. On numerous occasions he would show up without warning or any appointment and once even left a rude letter on my door because I was not home. He also «fixed» my heater that was broken for over 2 weeks when I moved in during winter. A year and a half later PG&E just happen to have to inspect the heater because of a potential oil leak in which I was told a cable had been unplugged that detects hazards with the heating system. He plugged it back in and boom, heater was broken again. So for over a year and a half I had a heater that was blowing hazardous air into my house that could have potentially caused a fire and bodily harm. I also had plumbing done due to a backup in the pipes. The cause was that there were roots growing into the pipes and they tried to charge me $ 300 for the repair. I absolutely refused as I am not responsible for something like that. I had to deal with it by going into the office and speaking with my property managers boss and having him call the landlord who immediately said I should not be responsible. By the way, it took Sonia, my property manager at the time, two weeks to resolve something that took me 10 minutes. After the maintenance man fixed the issue with the pipes, he left a huge pile of cement that had been ripped up on my property that remained there for the rest of the time I lived there. I luckily didn’t have any other issues that I needed or wanted that repairman to come back for until I had a huge leak in my ceiling from a rainstorm that was fixed but the mildewed and caving in wall in my living room was never touched and I had to look at it for several months. There was also an abandoned property next door that had been taken over by squatters who I found out were cooking meth! Awesome. Cops were always there over domestic violence and disturbance reports, along with a ton of breaking and entering. It was terrifying living there and I was very close to moving out so just kept my doors locked and counted the days until it was time to leave. This was a property in Oakland, but I could only leave one review for them, which was over my horrendous battle to receive my security deposit back, months after moving out. They are all one company and I am dealing with people from both locations so please take a look at my other review. Anyways, I told my property manager about the issue with the neighbors with the intention of giving them a heads up as that is a very legal reason to break a lease and he may want to look into it. He did nothing. Weeks before moving out, I had random people knocking on my door to look at the property at which I would politely say please contact Community Realty, I am still occupying the home. I also asked Mario, my new property manager, to put on any ads to not disturb tenants, in which he never did. It just continued. I also had people showing me different ads for the same property listed at different prices. This company has now been reported to the BBB and I will be seeing them in court over my dispute of my security deposit. I hope this «business» gets shut down before too many others become victims of their profound unprofessionalism.

literally the actual worst property management company i have EVER rented from. i’ve lived in one of their properties for three years. for the five star reviewers, just wait until issues come up and see how well they work for you…
a short list of problems:
– lost my rent check TWICE, then claimed i never paid. once claimed that my rent check bounced even though the money was always in my account.
– told me that pets were welcome, then randomly decided they no longer were and attempted to fine me
– took literally MONTHS to address very simple repairs, after dozens and dozens of calls
– constantly act like i’m some sort of criminal trying to scam them, constantly suspicious of every single question or request i ask
– seriously it takes at least five calls to get someone to call you back
– when i moved into the apartment, the construction wasn’t finished and i was not told this would be the case. my unit was partially unlivable for an entire month.
– didn’t see an actual copy of my lease until two months after living there
never once has anyone from the actual CRPM company been to the unit. if you want to speak with them, go in person. they contract all work out to random vendors who have no consistency whatsoever.
this company is a huge force of gentrification in the bay. most units are foreclosed properties that have been flipped/​remodeled. they’re hugely benefiting off displacement and people who have no choice but to rent from them. if you can, avoid at all costs. i’m terrified of what’s going to happen when it’s time for me to try to get my deposit back.

Horrible customer service. There is very poor communication in their office and several people handle rental applications for the same unit. After jumping hoops on a very short deadline for them I was told the unit was rented out from under my nose by another person on their staff. Renter beware of the staff’s knowledge and ability to handle the business they operate in a courteous and professional manner.

I had a very good experience with Community realty Property in San Leandro. Erica Marr, in the San Leandro branch is a very professional employee, If you need help with finding a place in the San Leandro area go and see Erica Marr she is Awesome.

I’ve had a really good experience working with CRPM so far — with my leasing agent Ashlei Ciprian, specifically. I recently applied to rent (and am now happily moved into!!) an apartment in my favorite Oakland neighborhood that had just barely hit the market. I’ve never been a main tenant/​primary leaseholder before, but Ashlei guided me through the entire process, from the application to the move-​in miscellanea. She made sure the company finished even the tiniest repairs on the place before I moved in and filled all my requests. I have an unusal work schedule, and she was willing to meet me on weekends and to answer my questions over the phone and through email on weekends and in the evenings.
Finding housing in Oakland these days is an absolute nightmare, and my heart goes out to everyone still enmeshed in the struggle. I’m incredibly grateful I had a leasing agent willing to bend over backwards for me and to advocate for me with the company. I know if I have any issues with my place in the future, I’ll be able to reach out to her for help. I highly recommend working with her if you’re going to rent from CRPM.

Nobody’s prefect, but they helped me get an apartment when I truly needed it. I have learned when dealing with any property management company you must have patience nothing happens over night.

I don’t believe what I just heard from Kevin Roberts, one of the agents who works at this office. I saw a pending property on Redfin and called him as a listing agent to see if the seller accepts any backup offer since I was really interested in that property, he just told me you have an accent and you sound like Indian!!! And you are calling from a 949 area code (I’m from southern california, OC moved to Bay Area recently) so I’m not going to talk to you. He was so rude and unprofessional. I wish I could chose 0 star

If you are getting ready to sign a lease drop the pen and walk away!!!
You call them to help you out with problems that happen in the apartment units and they blow you off. They have many many many problems, they don’t respect you the owner will bad mouth off to you and it’s just an experience that i wouldn’t even wish on my worst enemy.

CRPM was flipping a house next to us. With no notification from them, their roofers took a chainsaw to our juniper tree and a twelve year old rose bush and hacked the hell out of them. i attempted to deal w/​efrain becerra but he basically blew me off for weeks until i called michael marr the owner. i was really unimpressed with becerra.
