I found this place via Unilocal,and Olga assisted me right off the gate. I told her what I needed and she called me back with prices. I dropped off my car at 8 and by noon they were done. Great service and prices, I’ll definitely come here for any future car problems.

Great place. Found it through referral of a co worker. Honest and reasonable auto shop. They would not try to manipulate u into fixing things that don’t need fixing like the dealerships. Lloyd is great! Ask for him if you come in, he surely will take great care of you.

Update: I don’t know how they do it. The place is packed but I got my alternator changed and back on the road the same day. I won’t miss any work.

No matter how busy George’s Automotive is, Lloyd, the owner, always personally answers the phone. My family has been going to George’s Automotive for over a decade taking in a variety or cars including SUV’s, minivans, trucks, 1992 beater commute cars and CNG vehicles. We’ve recommended a handful of relatives and friends that bring their cars in from Alameda and San Ramon to be serviced here.
Lloyd is always honest and never tries to overprice the services provided. He works quickly and efficiently. Lloyd is a stand-​up, family guy who just wants your vehicle to function well at an affordable price!
Once, I was leaving to drive 1,000+ miles to college and he gave me an oil change «on the house».

Over the years my wife and I have brought our vehicles here literally dozens of times for everything from minor to major work. We have always been impressed with Lloyd and his crew, they do great work for a fair price.

Lloyd is awsome! I brought my rsx here to change clutch, oil pan and brakes, he did it perfectly! I’m back on the freeway! I recommend this place for cars.

OK so, I burned my clutch out from waaaay too much racing my little rice rocket Si. To be honest, I called other places that rhyme with Wheel Jerks and they quoted me at $ 1290.00. That was not happening! I even tried to call some friends to see if they can handle this job in their in home garages, but then finally gave Georges Shop a call. Man, was I pleased that I finally called them. I am usually skeptical of little shops in the hood, but this is my new hood now and I support local peeps. Not only was his price waaaaaay better than Wheel Twerks, but even doing the break jobs kept me under what I would have paid at Wheel Furks! I got a new clutch for $ 750 and breaks for 175 in the front. That was the best news ever! Yeah, I wish I hadn’t had to have any work done, but it was my own stupid fault. Lloyd is cool and honest and he got it done in a day where as Meal Burps wanted to keep my ride for 4 days. FUK DAT SHEEYAT. Right on Lloyd, you got a new custy!

This is my go-​to mechanic… he always gives a fair price and never recommends unnecessary work. In fact, Lloyd will often mention things to keep an eye on, but says not to replace things that aren’t broken yet. He is great at troubleshooting and even though the lot is always full, he manages to finish jobs on time. I highly recommend this shop for your auto repair issues.

My husband broke down on the freeway near George’s automotive so we were sort of forced to do our servicing there (we live in Oakland) a few months back. After experiencing Lloyd’s service, we now drive down to San Leandro just to go to Lloyd! He works really hard and charges fair prices. I almost feel like we were lucky to break down near his place just so we could discover it. Seriously, thanks Lloyd.

When my check engine light came on I thought it was the end of Lexi-​I was preparing for burial when someone turned me on to George’s Auto and Lloyd… Long story short within 24hrs and less than 300.00 out of pocket for everything (Lexi isn’t a cheap B’tch to maintain so this was like pennies) I was on the road again-​all lights out.
That was over 6mos ago and we are still rolling, no problems, no worries.
Lloyd, is knowledgeable, honest and friendly a great combo to have in a mechanic.

My long time mechanic had been Crown Chevrolet in Dublin. After they closed up shop a few years ago, I had been without a good, honest mechanic, which can be a pretty scary thing.
When my front brakes needed repair a few weeks ago, a co-​worker who SWEARS by George’s Auto Repair referred me to them. I am SO glad she did! The day before my appointment, I called 4 other shops to get repair quotes. Every single shop I called quoted me at least 100.00 more than George’s shop did. I had to reschedule my appointment to a Saturday morning, which is an especially busy time for most repair shops, but, George’s Auto completed the job and had my car ready just after 10:00am!
It’s not a fancy shop, and the restroom wasn’t exactly luxury accommodations (but, hey, when ya gotta go, ya gotta go). Who cares about the restroom though! GREAT JOB, Lloyd and crew! I’ll definately be back!

Took my car in for a smog and A/​C recharge! They offered me very great pricing and told me it would be done within 2 hours because of the amount of cars they had in at the time.
I spoke with Llyod and Adam who works there and they were just asking me about my Subaru WRX. apparently adam drives the same car and we were just chattin it up for a bit. Very friendly people and definitely knowledgeable on all aspects.
I ended up just walking around the neighborhood and got a call after an hour to say that my car was finished. THATS FAST!
Definitely coming here again in the future for all my auto needs! I love private shops and they definitely do a good job. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

George automotive is located in not the best part of san leandro. But just like food the best place is always not where you expect right? i was recommend by a friend to get my maintenance on my beat up daily driver honda since it needed a whole bunch of stuff. I called many other shops beside this one to ask for quotes and expected time to get everything complete.
Lloyd picked up the phone when I call and was very helpful explaining what i should get with the service I wanted and what can hold off because its not really needed. too tell you the truth i’m clueless about honda, I assume there similar to toyota or lexus since those are the vehicle i work with all the time. Lloyd was able to get me the best price around the area and also the shortest amount of time! heck yea going there right away.
Meet Lloyd and he was friendly enough to actually show me what we were talking about over the phone. I was able to meet the technican also that was working on my vehicle. His name was Adam, very funny and knowledgeable guy. He is also very fast!!!
I was expecting at least a whole day or two if not to get this big service done, but i got a call before end of the night saying my vehicle is ready for pick up. boy was i excited went down and I was able to talk to the technician Adam and he went through everything he did and what he thinks of it and what i should probably look into next and what to hold off from his experiences with these car.

I started out with George’s Automotive because I got a flat on my way to work. Lloyd could have gouged me because I was in a bad situation, but instead was extremely helpful and charged me a fair price. Since then, he has fixed both my car and my husband’s car. Again, fair price and honest. I can’t say how wonderful it is to find an honest mechanic. Love them!

Lloyd Lee runs this garage. He is a stand-​up, honorable guy. I’ve been with him for about 10 years and wouldn’t consider going elsewhere. A good, HONEST mechanic is worth his weight in gold.

My family has been bringing our vehicles to Lloyd (the owner of George’s Automotive) for years. Lloyd has always been extremely kind, hard working and fair in our dealings. He stands by his work and cares about his customers.

I moved around the corner 3 years ago so took my car there for something simple because my main mechanic was too busy. I have been going there since. I refer all. Very honest! Lloyd and all of the employees are awesome.
