Truly as good as it gets. We booked Joseph Alan for our wedding weekend. He was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning and even on the day of he put as at total ease. Not only is his worth ethic excellent, but the final product that you get at the end of it, there are no words to describe. My husband and I and both our families were blown AWAY by the highlight reel so much so that Im not even going to wait for the final DVD to write this review. He captured every moment to so so beautifully with a personal touch to the events. He caught all the fleeting moments that we didn’t even realize had happened. He also was sensitive to all the important people in the wedding and managed to include them in a short span of time. Additionally he covered 2 days worth of events for us and wove both in seamlessly into one video. The result was a truly magical piece of memory caught in film and edited to perfection, well worth every dollar of the investment! Picking Joseph for your wedding or special event is a no brainer!

I don’t think I can put in to words how talented Joseph and his team are. I picked Joe as our wedding videographer based on past work I had seen. Every highlight video I watched made me cry and I usually didn’t even know the people!
My husband and I got married at a private residence in St. Helena on 5÷20÷15 and Joe had our wedding highlight video back to us on 6÷11÷15 which was the day we returned from our honeymoon (less then two weeks!). It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. This short 5 minute video captured so many precious and personal moments. It embodied the entire vibe and theme of our wedding and showcased our love better then I could have ever imagined.
I would recommend Joseph Alan Productions to anyone looking for a videographer for a wedding or any function that is special to you. I have probably watched the our highlight video 25 times over the last three days and I cry tears of joy EVERY time. Our family and friends have been blown away by the quality of the video and keep telling us we look like movie stars!
Joe was in touch with me a lot prior to the wedding, which I loved because I am kind of a control freak, and he was always very helpful and sweet. Joe and his co-​worker spent the entire day at our wedding and nobody even realized they were there. They stayed out of the way without missing one beautiful moment of the wedding. They were calm and peaceful which is the kind of people you want around on your wedding day!
Joe, thank you so much for creating this magical piece of visual art. We will be able to remember how perfect our wedding day was for the rest of our lives because of the spectacular work that you and your team did.

I met Joseph and his associate on Saturday, May 30, 2015. He captured the most breathtaking video of our very close friends Wedding day, Sara and Devon Reed. I had tears streaming down my face as I watched this video. It was beautiful art. He has such an eye. He is so talented. You didn’t have any idea he was doing all of the things he did all day. He was very kind and nice and calm all day. But when the end effect was put together, it was simply amazing. A beautiful love story put to video. They waited a long time for this and it seems he made it exactly how it should have been. I would highly recommend him to anyone getting married or needing an important event in your life documented. I am a wedding photographer, myself, and I would recommend him to any new bride & groom I meet. I can’t say enough how beautiful and perfect their video was!

Soon to be husband and I took our e-​session recently. The original location we were planning on taking it didn’t happen due to our schedules. Although I was bummed that we weren’t able to take it at the location we wanted, we ended up taking our e-​session at Jack London Square. A location where my fiancé and I had never been to before. It all worked out because we were able to shoot at the pier, railroad tracks and the buildings around the area were beautiful. I fell in LOVE with our photos as soon as we got them. Very happy with how they came out. Turn around time was 5 days which I think is pretty amazing! Looking forward to working with Joe and his team again on our wedding day.

You do your best to remind yourself to slow down, take it all in, enjoy your special day… But it’s all a blur anyway! And thats when you thank your lucky stars because Joe was there to capture it all! :) It was my first time working with Joe’s team and it will not be my last. They were professional, unobtrusive, talented, creative and their work speaks for itself. Our highlight wedding video has been praised by my family and friends all over the globe! I cry and laugh every time I watch it. Thank you so much Joe.

Joseph Alan Productions did an awesome job on a wedding event we attended «Blush» at San Francisco’s Payne Mansion. What a lovely video and he is the upmost professional. He’s unobtrusive and even when you don’t see him he is definitely capturing some awesome shots!

Words cannot even beginning to explain how unbelievably happy my husband and I are with our wedding video.
Nine months ago we conveniently met with Joe at a coffee shop to learn more about him, his team and his style of wedding cinematography. We were instantly impressed with his level of professionalism just within our first meeting alone. He happily answered all our questions, loved telling us his story, sharing his favorite parts about creating art for his clients and what made him pursue his dream. We left the coffee shop feeling excited and decided that night they would be the team we would entrust to cover our big day.
Last night we received our highlight film, just the opening alone brought happy tears to our eyes immediately. The short film is perfect in every way. Joseph and Leslie captured «us» so beautifully, not missing any of the little details we spent months planing. All those little intimate moments were there right in front of us. I cannot explain to you how beautiful it is to actually get to SEE your love like that in front of you. We were so pleased we watched the film 3 times in a row, each time loving it more and more! I asked my husband, «Did you even see them there?!? I don’t remember them being there!» Yes, they are THAT good!
If you are looking for a cinematographer I highly recommend Joseph. Food, flowers and décor will fissile from you memory, but a beautifully done wedding film will keep and last forever.

All I have to say is Joe and Lesley’s work is beyond anything I thought I could ever ask for, and I can’t believe STILL to this day, how blown away I am (or my friends and family) by their video production.
Firstly, I didn’t even THINK of getting a videographer because I just thought that stuff was a wee bit extravagant, which isn’t really my style. I only decided to because my coworker (who I didn’t even know that well) came up to me and strongly advised me to do it. After asking other people around, especially very few trusted family members, I decided to go for it. So I did A TON of research looking for videographers with an actual REASONABLE price range, who had very good reviews. Joseph Alan Productions was the finalist in my research and my, I didn’t realize what a gem I found.
In short, out of all the vendors I dealt with and hired, Joseph Alan Productions was by far the top of the top as far as service, professionalism, and even in just being personable. Joe and his wife Lesley are the heart –the team of this production company — and this is probably why their work has left me speechless.
They were:
— extremely clear in contracts
— extremely clear in what to expect
— extremely organized
— extremely timely: came when they said they were going to come, called when they said they were going to call, sent invoices when they were supposed to, delivered their product exactly at the time they said they would, etc.
— the easiest to work with: they knew they have to capture every moment of this big day and made sure they were there for EVERYTHING, WITHOUT overstepping in our personal space/​boundaries
— artistic and sensible in their filming
— thoughtful in coming up with certain shots and scenery that was fitting and appropriate for the day
— extremely kind
Personally I just think of myself as just a regular gal — not a person that likes too many things, or extravagance, or even a person that likes too much attention. When I saw the highlights video, it just made me want to get married all over again!!!
You can’t go wrong with Joseph Alan. I’m telling you they are amazing and you will be SURPRISED how reasonable the prices are compared to most places.
This is your ONCE-​IN-​A-​LIFETIME experience — whether you have 200 guests, 20 guests, or just the 2 of you… you WILL want to have video there and I promise you you WILL want to have Joe + Lesley. They get it because they’re a couple!
There will be nothing that can replace seeing your day on video — how you walked, how your husband was looking at you when he first saw you, how you were dancing the first dance together, or even capturing the moment of just you and your mom/​dad on the dance floor. Do yourself a big favor and do ME a big favor!!! Get Joe to be your videographer!
To show you how strongly I feel about his work, check out my highlights video he did… I STILL love watching it! You’ll notice how amazingly careful and thought-​out he was with matching the song (and even some of the lyrics) with all the different actions and scenes. It truly is like a music video itself… Like, who the heck would do all this work to make it like this??? Well, Joe does!!!

Joseph recently drew a sketch of a friend’s vehicle for a birthday present using charcoal and the result was amazing. His work was top notch and I am very satisfied with the outcome. I will definitely be going back to him for any artistic work needed whether it is photography or art. Thanks again

This guy is wonderful. Joe really did a great job at our wedding. He was very flexible to our needs and made us feel very comfortable during our Engagement shoot. Me and my wife were very pleased with the way our engagement video turned out & have no doubts that our wedding video would be just as great. Joe has a great sense of capturing the right moments and is very professional. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a videographer for their wedding because his work is truly amazing!

Little did I know Joe was gonna capture the last family photo of three. I found out 5 days later I was pregnant with my 2^nd and cherish the photos Joe took of our family. He gladly ran around with my (at the time) 2 ½ year old who I can barely keep up with and her craziness. He took ALL suggestions and gladly complied or made even better suggestions! He is sweet and friendly and an absolute dream to work with!

Joseph Alan is a very talented photographer! He recently did a photo shoot of my beautiful pregnant wife and they came out just wonderful. Love the way he changes the moods of a single picture with different colors. The cool thing about photographers is that you can see past photo shoots and Josephs work speaks for its self.
