The best mechanics around, and the best prices too! I am an absolute regular at K Auto Tech, and I will not bring my ’99 Toyota Camry anywhere else! Kahn and Long are honest guys that won’t try to squeeze money out of you. If the repair is expensive, I can trust that my car needs it. You can’t go wrong with these guys…

Worst experience I could have had. I brought a car here for an inspection before I bought it. They didn’t even tell me that I had a completely blown water pump and timing belt. Cost me 700 $ after buying the car to fix. I never would have bought the car had competent mechanics done the inspection on the car. Terrible place do not give them your business.

Had my clutch go out in my 20 111 subaru literally in front of this shop the other day and way concerned as my regular mechanic was 100 miles away. These guys took great care of me! Friendly. Straight shooters that got the job done at a great price and on a saturday no less. I would use them again and recommend.

I was hoping to do business here after reading the other 5 star reviews. I called and spoke with the owner ahead of time and was given a firm price. I even called back again to confirm the pricing (as I was going to have my car towed there so I wanted to be sure it was correct) and he reconfirmed the price. I also let the owner know I was bringing it in the next day. When I went in the next day, the employee did not want to honor the pricing and it seemed like he kept trying to add additional costs on to my pricing. I told him that I already worked the pricing out with the owner ahead of time and asked for the owner. He told me he is not here today. He didn’t even offer to honor the pricing.
He didn’t seem to care about my business. He wasn’t friendly, and took multiple calls and assisted another patron while I was being helped. Overall, I’m disappointed with the service, and this added additional unnecessary stress to my already stressful situation.

khan is great!!! He is very honest and will work with you to fix what is needed not what he can get out of your pocket. I have referred friends and family and not once has he taken advantage due to his specialty. Everyone that works there is nice and I highly recommend him to work on your car

Let me tell you, I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH MECHANICS. With the 10+ cars I own, I can tell you there are many MANY s h i t t y mechanics out there. This was my first time at the new mechanics spot because the last one would fix things, and they would come back. If he worked in Australia, he would be a great boomerang repair shop… But on to my opinion on the new spot. They took me the same day when I told them it was my work truck. They asked me what was wrong, and within a few hours had the remedy. When they fixed it, they thought something may still be wrong so they asked to keep it so they can drive it. Smart guys because something else was wrong… But they hooked it up and made it right. My first time at this spot was a success. Their communication was excellent, and they did what they said they were gonna do, and they didn’t rape me on cost.

So I’ve had a lot on my plate lately, and have been stressed about everything, including my check engine light being on. I have been in the East Bay a good four years, and haven’t found a mechanic that’s closer to me (I’m in South Oakland, almost San Leandro) that can be my go-​to that I trust.
I took my car in, and they said they couldn’t get any readout, and there is no history of it going off. It wasn’t until they said «do you know what the check engine light looks like?» and I said «yes»…and walked to my car and pictured the engine light, but it was the tire pressure light that was going off! They didn’t charge me for the test, since they couldn’t find anything. They did say my transmission fluid was dirty and I was about due for that if I wanted since my car was there, checked my brakes and tires and told me they still aren’t due.
I’m happy to say I found a local good, honest mechanic… finally! These guys will definitely be the go-​to mechanics that I trust! Sorry for wasting your time with that tire pressure light guys!

Great price. Helped me change the coils at a third the price others quoted. It’s been a year and all is well with that. Went back when I was leaking (so embarrassing). They fixed my transmission seal and were again very reasonable.

It takes either a really good experience or a really bad one for me to jump on Unilocal and write a review. I had a terrific experience with Khanh at K Auto Tech. My car recently started acting funny in which I went into instant panic mode thinking the worst for my 190K+ mile 2002 Honda Passport. The one thing I look for in a mechanic (other than price) is honesty. Khanh called me the next day and told me all the things he checked and everything looks fine other than a few things he recommended that I replace in the near future. If he wanted to he could have told me this and that and taken me for a few hundred dollars and I would’n’t even know the difference, BUT he didn’t. I’m a pretty good reader of facial and body language and Khanh definitely comes across as a very knowledgeable and honest mechanic. I would recommend family and friends to K Auto Tech.

I’ve been coming here for years now. There’s only one reason why I’ve been coming back and it’s because K Auto Tech is GREAT! Why else return, so my car stop running? I truly love the service here and the work of course. They definitely greet me as I pulled in and help instantly. I’m a regular here now. And when I come I just hand them my keys and one of the employer or K himself will take it for a spin to check out what’s wrong with it. I dont even have to explain myself. As a female I dont know much about cars or mechanical stuff so its hard for me. Why bother I won’t know the issue anyways and don’t care except for fix it please! I always leave satisfied and pleased. K is the best mechanic out there. The prices here are more than reasonable. I can’t leave complaining bc there isn’t anything to question about this auto spot. So therefore 5 stars for K auto tech and his crew. Good work guys!

I was very busy with life and my car is overdue for an oil change so I Unilocal around my area and saw K auto tech. Took my car there and Khanh helped me right away. Him and his crew are so friendly, they work fast and reliable. Oil change has been completed within 30 minutes and all ready to go. K Auto Tech was recommended to me through a friend and this place is great. Khanh the auto technician that helped me was super nice and reliable. He would diagnose my problem and tell me 2 choice of action on getting my car fixed. (Most places I’ve gone to previously, would tell me the problem and say this is the only way to fix it and half of the time the problem doesn’t get fix.) But Khanh was great besides explaining the 2 choices and recommending the best options to me he made me understand what was wrong with me car, since I am a girl I don’t know much.
I’ve actually brought my SUV in twice to get fix and both time were different problems, of course. BOTH problems have been fixed and my SUV works and drives great. If you need oil change, brake fixed, water pump replaces etc. come to K Auto Tech and ask for Khanh.
