Techco Gas

techno gas is sometimes the cheapest gas on washington ave. sometimes it isn’t. sunko, superior, and techco take turns being the low price leader. i check
to see who’s cheaper.
since credit cards cost more, i pay cash.
this station usually tisn’t that busy.
they are open long hours.

This place is terrible.
I only came here because the 76 across the street was closed, and this is the second closest gas station to the freeway I needed to hop onto, so why not?
There is a $ 0.50 charge for using your debit card AND a $ 0.06 charge PER GALLON if you’re using a credit card. For some reason, my card wasn’t reading outside, so I had to go inside. I waited 5 minutes for them to put my transaction through, not because there was something wrong with my card, but because the workers were plain SLOW. Another worker came to the cash register to get «change» and they proceeded to engage in a conversation with me waiting in front of them. I was already pissed off at all the time wasted (in turn making me late for work)! Apparently, it wasn’t just me that was getting all the problems, but other customers came in and asked why their pump wasn’t pumping when they specifically asked for station 3, not 4, etc…
Their pumps PUMP SO SLOWLY! It took forever just to get 20 dollars of gas in, and elsewhere, it would’ve taken less than a minute! Ridiculous. I have no idea why anyone would want to frequent this gas station on their own will, especially when they are «Techco» gas, and charge you for using your debit/​credit cards. Lame.
Oh, and per Alex F’s review, still no gas pump locks nearly two weeks on top of the 8 weeks he waited.

An ok place to come and get gas, as in it’s cheaper than the 76 across the street and isn’t affiliated with BP and the horrendous Gulf of Mexico oil spill (like Arco is). Though I’m sure since it’s a gas station, it has some affiliation with what we can refer to as blood oil.
The pumps at the moment don’t have those lock things on them, so you have to hold the handle for the entire time you are pumping. A few months ago they had signs up saying that they were not compliant with the law and that new ones would be coming in the following week. Guess what? About 8 weeks followed and still no little levers.
They charge $.06/​gallon if you’re using credit, up from the $.04 it used to be maybe 2 – 3 weeks ago. Maybe they need the extra money for their hold levers? $.50 charge if you use debit.
The store inside is clean and has your typical gas station amenities.
