Love this place everytime I come here the food is awesome! Great food great views! Friendly staff! Couldn’t ask for anything else!

Dined at a private Chef’s meal. All of the 6 courses were amazing!
Chef Beau did a great job pairing the food and wine. Cant wait to go to the next one! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Love this place. Good food, good beer on draft, very chill. Fish and shrimp are very fresh, waitstaff very friendly and accommodating. Can’t beat the view, however, they used to have a really good playlist going — today it was the idiot box on totally idiot channel

This is a nice location. On the water with a good view. The food is seafood and Mexican. I have had several dishes that where Mexican and they where very average at best. Rice is not very good at all. My wife had the fish tacos and she said they where real good. I night we where carried away by the Mosquitos. This is our third visit here. Service is good however it takes a long time to get food and the margarita machine can not keep up. Out is the three visits here the first one was very good the other two whet not that good. If you are coming for the view then it is a good trip however don’t come all the way out here for just the food. The view is 3 stars the food varies from 1 star to 3 stars depending on what you get.

This place is amazing! Hands down the best view you can get. Drinks are amazing. The only thing I wish they could work on is there queso. Either way La Brisa can suck it haha

Ok, we have needed a «coastal style» place for some time… but, this is the real thing!
My 14^th visit this weekend confirms that this place is special. I took the in laws from Corpus, they couldn’t believe the tastes and preparerations. The ceviches are best in all of the Houston area. The ma’s special cooked to perfection.
My new favorite with great views and friendly staff.

We went back Sunday, and had the shrimp burger WITH BACON!!! and the lizard burger with BACON AND A FRIED EGG!!! It’s one of the top 5 burgers in my book.

Food here is amazing… The customer service is a different story but everyone is nice. I love the outdoor patio and the quality Of the food.

We come here often and have a lot of events here and its always a good time. The food and margaritas are always delicious. The breeze and view of the water can’t be beat. Lately we have had a server named Dominique (spelling?) and he really makes our visit. He handles our large parties so well with no problems and he has a great personality. He has even handled us with our 3 dogs when we have needed to get them out of the house for house showings. He took just as good care of them as he does us. Can’t say enough good things about him.

An awesome little place tucked away on the bay in San Leon TX. The meal was like something someone might find at a little seaside restaurant. The view of the bay and the peacefulness of the water makes this place a will definitely come back to again place! I got the governors tacos. Really good! My only complaint would be the refried beans, but everything else was great.

Ok… If you are in San Leon let’s face it you didn’t come to visit a 4 star restaurant cause their ain’t on here lol… The lazy lizard is a dive fisherman bar or it appeared to be to me… Upon arriving we took the last seats at the bar next to a severely intoxicated man who could barely stand up lol… We did not partake in the food much. We ordered the $ 2 all you can eat chips and salsa… 20 minutes later I asked the bartender if he forgot about the chips and salsa … The chips were stale but we ate them… We asked for a refill «which he forgot as well» 30 minutes later we had not stale chips but flat our chewy chips.
They are known I guess for the margaritas. We had the frozen variety plain Jane ones. At $ 6.99 we had 3 each… Alcohol was AMPLE for the price as I at 260lbs had a mean buzz after 3 and the mrs was hugging a bucket after her 3 when we got home. So yes $ 6.99 for a frozen margarita at a dive bar seemed high to me but the results proved they were worth it.
The atmosphere is kinda cool I thought it is right on the water. Like even further it’s on a peninsula so water all around… Like 20 feet from the bar you would fall in lol. There was a dude singing and playing guitar… The place looks decrepit … But as I said man… This is a dive bar in a dive bar fishing town… You want Applebee’s then go there.

Average food, average atmosphere… nothing to write home about, especially when you have so many choices in the area. But still an option

Reading all the reviews we were hesitant about coming here but figured we weren’t in a hurry so slow service didn’t matter. Once we got here we remembered we had been here before but ended up leaving because the chef never showed.
Today it is Saturday pm. We’ve been here for a couple of hours and yes service isn’t the best but you’re on the water and this area is all about relaxing. There is a band playing good music, dogs chilling out and everyone coming in from fishing. Very casual atmosphere.
The food was all pretty decent. I got the seafood flameado and friends got the special aka grouper tacos and they liked it. I ordered the middle margarita and not impressed at all! Too small for 8.99. Draft beers aren’t very cold but the bottles are .
Overall nice place to come relax and have a few drinks on the water, relax and listen to a band. You can even bring your dog :)

The food was really good. We got the blackened shrimp & crab nachos and they were out of this world delicious! The drinks were strong, but good. Chips and salsa are yummy, too. My only complaint was the service. Our waiter was slow and forgetful. Hopefully this was a fluke and in the future we will have better service.

Good margaritas and decent chips and salsa. We had the blackened shrimp flamada appetizer which we enjoyed. I ordered soft shell crab and girlfriend ordered shrimp tacos. The soft shell crab was not fresh (I never have had crab taste like that) but the girlfriends shrimp tacos were pretty good. I will give this place another shot because I like the view and the atmosphere. Hopefully I can find something I really enjoy on the menu

Don’t come hungry. Be prepared to wait. Food is fresh and margaritas are the bomb! I like the golden and deadman earring. Nice being on the water. We were regulars at the Bayou Vista location. Still will make the drive for the surf and turf enchiladas!

I am only doing 3stars this time because the service was so slow. We know the drill but it seemed to be chaotic-​At the table for 20 minutes before an exasperated waitress came by to apologize about how busy they had been over the weekend. They were tired. We had then already found a menu and ordered drinks from the bar. I had a fish and shrimp ceviche that was awful, sent it back. Tasted others food different types of enchiladas which were both very good– surf and turf and sour cream and spinach and chicken those were Delish! Other companions had beef and chicken nachos which were ok. Be prepared to wait when you come. They used to have fabulous margaritas this time didn’t taste fabulous.

Great view. Great food. The best sunset from Shoreacres to Bacliff. Love the outside deck. There are plastic sides for the cold and/​or rain.

My husband and I just moved to the Bacliff area about a month ago went for the first time after finding it on here. We loved it! The view of the water is amazing and we just happend to be there on taco tuesday, 2.50/ taco. The chicken and the pork were great! Also, the side salad with the house vinaigrette was the bomb. Don’t forget to try their margaritas! One of the best I’ve had.
It did take a few mintutes for us to get helped and had a smell coming from the bathrooms the moment you walk in but, it goes away once you sit away from the bathrooms.
We will definitely be going back!
