Finlandia tile

Jukka and Gayle of Finlandia Tile saved our bathroom and our sanity. We had gotten in way over our head on the DIY front and had an extremely tight timeline. We replaced the tub ourselves and reframed the walls. But we needed help with tiling the tub surround and struggled to find a contractor who would take on the quick turnaround project at an affordable price.
What had been one of the most stressful home repair projects quickly turned into the most delightful project — all thanks to Finlandia Tile! Jukka was able to work within our time constraints and our budget. He and Gayle were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and communicative. They took time to discuss the materials, the layout, and solutions every step of the way.
Also unique about our project was an inherited granite sink vanity that we could not replace. The vanity had been installed years before and was in good condition. But it had been installed against the corner walls with a beveled edge and no backsplash, so we needed a solution to keep any sink water runoff from trailing down along the wall.
With the extra tile from the tub surround project, Jukka and Gayle created a just deep enough backsplash that solved the problem perfectly! In the end, we did over-​order some extra tile at the 11^th hour (fearing we might run out) but given the wacky scope of our project we have no complaints about some spare tile. The final backsplash solution was brilliant given what we were working with. The pictures don’t do justice to how well the backsplash and tub surround tie the room together.
We can’t recommend Finladia Tile highly enough. We wish we had more tile projects in the future, just so we could work with them again. Thank you, Jukka and Gayle!

We needed a tile contractor to reface on fireplace prior to the installation of a gas fireplace insert and were referred to Finlandia Tile. From our first meeting, we could see Jukka was a true craftsman. His attention to measurements and layout made us comfortable from the onset. Once on the project, we were impressed with how well Jukka and his assistant Gayle worked together, giving meticulous attention to every detail and listening to our concerns. They were on time and on schedule throughout the project. We are very particular about the work done on our home and they met every expectation. We will definitely call them for any future tile project and highly recommend them to family and friends needing quality tile work.

I had Jukka install a tile floor that required lots of prep work, and «a million» tile cuts to install.

Jukka is an outstanding craftsman and professional. It is a rare thing I find a contractor whose work I am truly pleased with, but in Jukka I found one.
He was meticulous, careful, thought things through, and executed to perfection.
He was on time and on schedule.
His customer service was exemplary, anticipating my question and concerns and answering them before I even had the chance to raise them myself. He proactively kept me informed all along the way.
With Jukka I did not have to worry about «…I wonder if he remembered xyz …», because he was always ahead of the curve telling me about ‘xyz’.
And on top of that, he and his assistant Gail were a pleasure to work with.
