I’ve been to Doc’s Cellar several times, and always came away satisfied. Friendly service, helpful advice, it’s all good!

I took a wine making class at CalPoly and when I searched online to find equipment to start my little knowledge and experience wine making. Doc Cellar is the only one pop up. Went there and man! They got everything I need to start my hobby. The staff I dealt with was very knowledgable with the equipment they sell. He didn’t made me feel stupid with my beginners questions and curiosity. They even have a wide variety of beer yeast as well. Definitely gotta come back here and get the rest of my equipment and their support.

Docs is a bit off the beaten path and didn’t look like much when we rolled up on our mission to make our first two barrels of wine. Upon closer inspection, they are well stocked, experienced professionals with great attitudes — and that’s not just when you are buying stuff. I just picked up the phone to call the guys at Doc’s on a Saturday to ask a technical question about adding chemicals to my wine. They were totally there for me, doing math with me on the telephone. Thanks guys! So for all of your beer or winemaking needs go see the folks at Doc’s.

Great home brew store tucked away in the out skirts of slo. If your into home brewing this place is worth stopping by! Great service and always willing to help! Pricing on equipment is very competitive and it’s hard to beat fresh grains, hops and yeast!

These guys are always super helpful and they don’t make you feel like a big dummy for asking some of the most inane questions I ever come up with. It truly is a little hole in the wall and definitely has an relaxed feel. They only have a couple loveable cons. If it were better laid out and a touch cleaner it would really make it enjoyable to find stuff you don’t need but want. also the website… man… the website needs help. I find myself searching other websites to shop and enjoy the forum, then going to Doc’s to make the purchase(they have pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted so far).

Awesome little place with about every thing you could ever need for brewing your own beer. Almost every grain you can think of, tons of hops, and a large selection of White Labs Yeast. Fair prices and nice staff. Sadly I live two hours away or this would be my go to supplier for my beer brewing needs.

For anyone who is just beginning in homebrewing or someone who makes their own recipes, they have it all. Everyone who works there is super helpful and knowledgeable, and will take your grain bill and fill your order promptly. Their grain prices are cheaper than online, so why would you wait a week to get it? For $ 35 I could make my own extract recipe. The only bummer is they’re closed on Sundays and Mondays, which is usually when I need something because I’m in recovery mode on a beer.

Maybe a 4 if they were in a big city, but considering this is little ol SLO, I give Doc’s a 5+. Thank god for Doc’s. They got me into brewing. Sure there are plenty of places you can shop online for beer and wine making supplies, but the staff at Doc’s have always been so knowledgeable, so friendly, and so eager to talk beer. I have learned so many great tricks and made gallons of great beer thanks to the folks at Doc’s. Stop in some time and you’ll see what I mean. Great resource for this small town!

This is not a «winery», I don’t know this is categorized under winery. This is where you go if you brew your own beer. This is where to get any hops, malts, or tubing that may be needed, to make your own mug of deliciousness. 2 of my close friends in college brewed beer in at my place all the time, I loved making my own hot beverage out of the malt. One of my favorite past times. When going to Doc’s Cellars, you feel like you are going to a storage unit, but you’re not, they’re back there, I promise.
