This business is the best! I always need my little chihuahuas nails cut and they do it so fast and easy, she is usually terrified but not with them, they treat her so good and she is never scared or Unilocaling afterwards like she has in the past at other places. I appreciate their kindness and love!

I’ve had a hard time with groomers in the past… I have been coming here for a few months now and I have been extremely happy! My dog Palmer is a little difficult to groom but they have been patient and always do a great job! He comes home happy and that makes me happy!

I have three dogs — 2 cairn terriers and a schnoodle and they always look and smell fantastic. Professional staff. Kind to the animals. My dogs love it here! Best place in town!

Just took my little pup Rocky there for first time and will be returning soon. The staff are super friendly and they did a great job on her. I was worried leaving her with strangers for the first time, but their kindness and great attention let Rocky feel at ease.

The staff is very friendly and wonderful with dogs. I took our precious Max in to have him groomed. When I picked him up, he was absolutely beautiful!!! The groomers had given Max the exact cut I had requested. We will definitely be back!!!

My black lab, Tuttle loves coming here! He always drags me in because he is so excited! He always looks and smells amazing after leaving and the staff is always very friendly. It is usually very easy to make an appointment. When he had a flea problem several months ago they gave me great advice on natural remedies for getting rid of the fleas!

I have a Pomeranian and he needs to be groomed at least twice a month. Each time I have had him groomed at Doggie Spa he has looked amazing. When I pick him up he is not stressed out like he was when I took him to another place to be groomed. He is calm and happy. I feel very comfortable bringing him here.

I usually go to The Golden Paw but decided to just see what this place could do. It appears clean and the staff were very nice. But what’s important is the actual service of grooming! I brought in my cockapoo with a full coat and a teddy bear head and my instructions were «he needs belly, bum, paws, nails… give his body a litte trim but don’t cut his coat too short». When I picked him up he looked like a chihuahua-​poo. He looks sickly, bare, shaved. He is over sensitive to the air around him because he’s so naked. Plus his nails were jagged and the vet had to recut them a week later. It was like taking your long haired daughter to a barber shop and coming out with a #4 buzz. I knoq his coat will eventually grow back, but back to Golden Paw for us!

Best place to get your dogs groomed. They always do a great job on my 3 dogs and the staff is always friendly. The building is always clean and kept looking nice. My dogs come home looking beautiful, smelling great and happy!

We LOVE this place! I’ve taken my goldendoodle to countless groomers by now and no place grooms him like the doggie salon and spa. I don’t like the poodle cut (I just want an even haircut), and they do that. I’ve come in early to pick my dog up a few times, and he looks so happy on the table and the staff is so friendly. I highly recommend them!

Today McDuff and Penny came home with beautiful cuts. Their groomer spent a moment with to talk about cuts and I got what I ask for. Everyone was happy, helpful and I am very pleased with the good changes I now see at Doggie Spa.

I have been coming here for close to a year, and I still couldn’t be more pleased. Everyone is very friendly and they are always accommodating. My little babies always come back happy and healthy and looking good.

I’ve been taking my dog to this business since before they moved to their tank farm location. We had always been pleased with the customer service and the grooming results. However, the last few times we’ve used their services, the employees have been unfriendly, and a bit gruff. This last time, it was the manager who was gruff and unfriendly. She was so focused on getting dogs checked in that she didn’t take the time to consult with me about what I wanted for my dog. Now, I have a shaved golden retriever in the middle of winter and all I wanted was a basic grooming. When I called to complain, the manager was defensive and rude. Even though I’ve been offered a free grooming next time, I won’t be going back. I’ll pay a little extra and get splash splash mobile dog bath to come out instead.

I am new to SLO and went in today for a nail trim to test and see if this could be a good grooming spot for our elderly basset hound. Unfortunately, I won’t go back. The woman was gruff, didn’t smile, just grabbed her leash without acknowledging her and then spent all of three minutes trimming her nails. The nails were left very long, so it was a waste of a trip. Back home in Berkeley where we usually take her, they treat her like a person, call her by name, talk to her comfortingly so she is not nervous. They pay attention to cut each nail short and take their time to make sure they don’t cut the quick. That’s not the kind of service we received here, and I can tell that’s not the kind of treatment she will get at this place, and since she is so old, it would be too traumatic to visit this «spa» again. Bummer.

We have two big dogs (St. Bernard and Newfoundland). NOT an easy grooming job for either one, and we’ve tried a few places in the SLO area. Our boys are always happy when we arrive and happy when they head home. The St. Bernard was a rescue a year ago, and has some «issues» with his tail and feet being handled. The staff is always patient and caring with him, and he lets his tail be brushed now!
They are great at Doggie Salon & Spa, and we’ve been going every month for three years now. I recommend them all the time! Great work and very fair pricing.

I appreciate the new owner contacting me over my concerns — that is the first step in solving safety /​neglect issues. Unfortunately, my dog was injured during the new ownership’s time. Perhaps the groomer is no longer there.
I’ve discovered first hand how important loving, competent care is in dealing with people’s furry-​family members. I stand by my review and will take our dogs elsewhere in the future.

I love taking my Maltese here! We live in Nipomo but I still don’t mind making the drive every 5 – 6 weeks. I think the price is very reasonable for the quality work they do. This is not a normal groomers! My Maltese has the most amazingly soft hair after picking her up from here, and her haircut is always so cute I don’t even have to go into detail with how I want it because they did it perfectly. She gets a «teddy bear» look on her body, and her top knot and tail is kept long.

They don’t keep my dog there almost the whole day like a lot of groomers do, which is something I like especially when I don’t live close so I have to wait around town.
It’s been 3 times so far that I’ve taken my dog. The quality of their service is why I keep taking her back instead of just taking her to a groomer here in Nipomo.
I love it so much that I recommended it to my sister and my friends. I took my sister’s Yorkie with us, and for our next visit I’m taking my Maltese, the Yorkie, and a friend’s Shih Tzu :).
The only negative is that they close early at 4pm :(.

They are so friendly! I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with them !! To top it off it happened to be his Birthday and they treated him extra special for it! I was very happy with the quality of service and the friendliness of the staff! This is my favorite doggie spa thus far, ranking number one on the central coast!!!

I cannot believe this place gets any negative comments!!! This is, by far, the very best place I have ever taken my Dogs… They total pamper my pooch. They trim his nails, brush his teeth and give him a scarf, EVERY TIME!!! Their price is $ 8.00 less than Petc**, $ 17.00 less than Petsm**@% and $ 6.00 less than 2 other places I have been in the Central Coast… I’m thinking, if their are ppl with NEG comments, you must be miserable saps…

This was the first place we took our puppy shih tzu to when we first got him. They were awesome. Took great care of our dog and did a great job grooming him. The staff is very friendly and they all seem to love what they do. Their space is clean and welcoming. I’d recommend them to anyone. The only con about this place is their lack of availability. They always seem to be fully booked when I’m trying to make an appointment to get my dog groomed.
