Fluidbloom Designs

It was a delight to work with Nikki for my October 2015 wedding. She did not balk or scoff at my
smaller budget, nor was she afraid to make suggestions to remain on target. Nikki is the nicest, sweetest person you will ever meet; incredibly warm, kind and giving. She was willing to provide flowers for centerpieces that I DIYed with family the day prior, and did full florist work to create our ceremony flowers, bouquets, bouts, and corsages. In the planning process Nikki was creative and engaged. She was super easy to work with in person, and created just beautiful, personalized results.
There are only 2 small reasons that I find Fluidbloom simply great and not outstanding. In communication, Nikki would respond to my emails several days if not a week later. At one point I followed up a second time when no response arrived (in June, however, height of wedding season), This was months in advance of the wedding and I did not mind it as there was plenty of time. Nikki was aware of her delayed response and apologetic at the time. Still, it left an
impression of being unimportant.
The more major flaw I experienced was that the (still gorgeous!) flowers that I received, while
incorporating many aspects of what we discussed, were still not what I was expecting. For the bridesmaids bouquets, I was expecting two oversized dahlias with supporting greenery (very basic), and instead we received miniature versions of the bridal bouquet­ more than what was discussed. For my flower crown, we discussed a half crown with olive, lavender, and garden roses. What I received was a comb with darker red and purple blooms, and greenery (still on theme). It worked for me (maybe more than a larger half­crown would have) and looked beautiful, however, it was much smaller than what I had envisioned from our iscussion/​contract and was NOT what I had wanted. The bridal bouquet was on target as far as the blooms (she even got artichokes with purple on them!) and greens discussed to be included, however, the style of the bouquet was not even close to what I had requested. I had been dreaming of (even a small, not oversized) hand tied, loose and wild bouquet. I had well documented this on my pinterest board and shared it with Nikki. The bouquet I received came gathered more into a l rge posey, than a rustic, hand tied, disorganized jumble. I accredited these results, at the time, to my smaller budget. The boutonnieres and corsages were on pointe (with hops!), and we even had an extra set which delighted my Italian adoptive parents to wear. The flowers for the ceremony looked flawless and exactly as discussed.
Now, while I’ve explained the above flaws to my experience in detail, I DO find them minor. I ended up loving the flowers I got, I only had to adjust my expectations. They looked simply divine, and Nikki (and her staff), in the planning as well as installation process, went above and beyond for me (even tying my mothers lace around the bouquet last minute). Nikki even gave me (way way way) extra flowers for completing the centerpieces. In sum, the flowers I got were gorgeous, and Nikki is a delight to work with. I would recommend her to anyone for wedding florals, especially if you are looking to trust her vision to work with what you are able to spend! Retrospectively, it might have been more helpful for us to have communicated more, and more effectively, leading up to the day. This would have helped me to know what to expect to arrive upon the wedding day, and Nikki to better know what I was wanting to achieve.

Literally PERFECT! Nikki did the flowers for our wedding in July 2015, and everything was absolutely amazing! I could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. From the very beginning, I felt confident working with Nikki. We live in San Diego, so most of our communication was through email and over the phone. We filled out the initial form, and Nikki provided us a quote that was exactly within our budget. I didn’t have a very clear idea of what I was looking for, but I just gave Nikki a general idea and let her run with it. I am so glad I did because she provided us with beautiful flowers and arrangements for our wedding. Everything was dropped off at the venue on time, and I was obsessed with all of it. The bouquets were to die for, the floral arrangements on the tables were perfect, and the arch décor was beautiful. Everything came together better than I could have ever imagined. We met with Nikki once in person before our wedding when we came up to San Luis Obispo, and she was extremely friendly and easy to talk to. She responded promptly to all emails and phone calls, and we had no problems working with her. There is not a single thing that I would have changed with our flowers for our wedding. I am so glad that we chose her, and I would recommend her to anyone without any reservation.

Nikki is incredible. Extraordinarily nice and spot on with everything she does. I gave a few pictures of what I wanted for my bouquet. She added her touch and they all came out amazing; stunning, clean, and eloquent but unlike anything I had seen before. My bridesmaids loved their bouquets as well. Absolutely love her work!

Nikki from Fluidbloom was referred to me by a friend to do the flowers for my Los Olivos wedding in September 2014. I was SO glad to receive her info because she made all my wedding flower dreams come true!
I contacted Nikki only 2 months before my wedding — kind of freaking out because my other florist fell through. She was quick to respond to emails, and talked through my vision with me to create a quote that was within my budget. She was very thorough and thought of everything that I would need for my wedding day (since I had no idea!).
When I requested a mock-​up of my tables, Nikki agreed without hesitation, asking me to just cover the cost of the flowers used that day. She even made the trek from SLO to Ventura! She was without a doubt one of my favorite wedding vendors and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Nikki is one of my absolute favorite people to work with! She is an amazingly creative and talented floral designer and a great collaborator. She’s also professional and fun. Her passion for flowers truly comes through in her work. Not to mention, she’s also an amazing woman. I’m happy to support her as a wedding planner on the central coast.

I had been calling florists all over SLO for months, all four meetings went the same way. I’d call, they would call me back, we would set up a time to talk, they’d spend 1 hour going over every detail of my wedding, they would tell me that they would deliver a quote, and then I would never hear from them again. When I first met with Nikki, I explained what had been happening, and she assured me that I would not be in the same situation with her. She was right. She went over all the details of my wedding, and to my surprise she actually delivered a quote, and her pricing was very reasonable!
But there is much more to how amazing she is. My wedding was a little offbeat. It was centered around mathematics, astronomy, and carnivorous plants. She did not shun any of these offbeat ideas, but she only accentuated the concept. She brought her creativity full force and came up with some pretty amazing concepts that I had never seen done at any other wedding. She is definitely much more than a florist, I would almost classify her as a creative genius!
On top of all of this, she is professional and on time. One of my favorite things she did for me was label all of the boutonnieres and corsages so that it was very easy to make sure that those people who should have flowers for the ceremony actually ended up with them. when its your wedding day, and you are having your hair and makeup done, the last thing you will be thinking about is who gets what boutonnière. So even though this might seem small, it was really helpful. Its little things like this where her experience shines through. Thank you Nikki for being so wonderful!!!

It was a pleasure to work with Nikki and Fluidbloom for our wedding in Nipomo, CA. Nikki was the most competitive in price, the most flexible, and the most pleasant to meet with.
We were only interested in wedding party flowers and an arch, and she was happy to accommodate our request. AND… they were beautiful! When I arrived to the venue on the day of our wedding, I was stunned to see the most beautiful bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, and arch (exactly how I dreamt up in my head).
She was also careful to understand our unique family and delivered beautiful corsages and boutonnieres for parents, step parents, and grandparents.

Fluidbloom was the florist for my September wedding and Nikki and her team did an incredible job! The flowers were better than I could have imagined– from my bouquet to the aisle décor to the centerpieces I was so thrilled. Nikki met with my husband and I to really figure out what we wanted and executed it perfectly. She even picked up a bunch of jars and bottles that I’d been collecting and incorporated them perfectly into the décor. I would totally recommend Fluidbloom to any couple looking for a stellar florist!

I am so happy that my (now) husband and I used Fluidbloom Designs for our floral arrangements for our wedding at the Santa Margarita Ranch!
I honestly didn’t think that floral arrangements were going to be a big deal for me, I was very whatever about them but as soon as I started to talk to Nikki about the floral arrangements, I became so excited!
Nikki is so sweet and kind and very personable, sometimes it felt like I was just chatting with a friend while talking about floral arrangements.
The bouquets, bouts and centerpieces were absolutely beautiful! My favorite part of the wedding!
As a wedding vendor, I highly reccommend Nikki! She was never ever pushy about making me spend more more more and was very very open to finding cheaper alternatives in the centerpieces. She was even open to me bringing my own plants/​floral pieces for the welcome tables or for the aisles. She was also very helpful to me about other areas of my wedding (like napkin colors, etc!).
Nikki is great and if you’re looking for a florist for your wedding needs, she’s your girl!

I absolutely would recommend Nikki and Fluid Bloom to anyone for special events as well as «just because» bouquets! I was married in SLO, CA last year and Nikki made my wedding bouquet and centerpieces absolutely perfectly! As someone who doesn’t know much about flowers but was working off photos of what I liked, she was able to pick out what I loved and what I didn’t and managed to make my flowers both a reflection of my vision and a unique arrangement I received so many fabulous comments on. Fluid Bloom is now my husband’s go-​to flower shop and they never disappoint. The reviews don’t lie, best flower shop in SLO!

Being a wedding photographer, I have worked with Nikki on several occasions. Her professionalism, talent and commitment to her work and clients off the charts. I wish the system would allow me to rate with more stars. I love knowing that she is going to be doing flowers for the weddings because I know the wedding and pictures will be beautiful. I highly suggest her and her girls for any occasion!

Nikki is so passionate about her job it really shows through her work. Her flowers are really what made my wedding day so beautiful. That was all I needed! Nikki pulled through again. I have been getting flowers from her whenever I need a little something in SLO around. For the 2^nd year in a row, the flowers I pickup for the annual Hearst Castle Gala have just been absolutely delightful, especially to my date this year is a floral designer herself.

They create beautiful arrangements that I have purchased as gifts and they have done amazing work for numerous weddings I have photographed. Can’t miss!

My girlfriend really loved the flowers that were delivered to her. They were very bright and colorful with great presentation! As far as that, I think they did wonderful and deserve 5 stars. However, unfortunately they lost my phone order and the flowers were delivered a day later than I would have liked. I understand that accidents happen and she was very nice about it. I’m sure it was a busy time for them around graduation and wedding season.
I will still use Fluidbloom in the future and overall it was a good experience.

Was in SLO to visit my recently engaged daughter. My mom wanted to give her a check for her honeymoon airfare, but didn’t just want to put the check in an envelope and give it to them. So I bought a little airplane, and gave it to Fluid Blooms along with the envelope with the check in it. They made a tropical arrangement and accommodated the airplane into the design. It was so cute!
The second time I used them they made a sympathy bouquet for a dear friend who had just lost her beloved grandmother. I asked if they had peonies, and they said no, but given my emotional distress, they apparently went out and got some. The arrangement was incredible. I feel that they gave me more than my money’s worth because of the situation, but how kind of them to consider that! I never use FTD, because you don’t know what you’ll get. Because I’m out of town, I’ll always trust Fluid Bloom with all my SLO flower orders for all the people I care for there.

We used Nikki at Fluidbloom for our daughters May wedding at Dana Powers house and barn in Nipomo. Flowers truly don’t get much better! Nikki is such an artist, and was able to take my daughter’s ideas and create some of the most beautiful bouquets and centerpieces I have seen.
We purchased two antique doors to use for the wedding alter, and left it to NIkki to adorn them as she saw fit. The results were amazing. So many of our guests commented on the doors and the flowers. Before the wedding, the buzz was, «Have you seen the doors!!!»
I have planned several weddings and am very picky about florists. Since I don’t live in the area, I knew finding the right florist would be critical and possibly difficult. I love flowers and chose Fluidbloom only after seeing her creations and creativity at work. I always look for a florist who does NOT do the standard «FTD arrangements». Even her tiny shop packs a punch of artistry!
Nikki also is very easy to work with. She met with my daughter and her fiancée’ several times to gather ideas; then worked with me on budget and further input. We felt her prices were very reasonable and certainly got a lot of bang for our buck. Truly I can’t imagine an easier person to work with! (photos provided)
