Went to Dr. Carr on a referral from another dentist and I am glad I did.
Do yourself a favor and use his services when needed. He is excellent !!
During the entire procedure it was obvious that he was highly skilled and knew exactly what to do. He and his assistant worked efficiently and with purpose. Difficult to believe but there was no pain at all during or after the root canal.

I had the best possible experience with Gilman Carr. If you have to have a root canal — go here! Relatively pain free, kind, and he saved my crown — saving me $ 1000 by doing so. I feel like he went the extra mile for me and assume he does that for all his patients because he is professional.

Although it was my first visit, Dr. Carr’s staff was cordial, professional and very assuring. I had an abscess drained without numbing and without pain. By far, Dr. Carr is the gentlest dental professional I have encountered in light of the amount of dentistry I have experienced. I have had three prior root canals by different doctors, and wasn’t looking forward to the one next week, but honestly, now I don’t think it’s going to be anything to worry about. Thank you, Dr. Carr and Staff. You’re greatly appreciated, especially around the holidays when life is stressful enough.

I have claustrophobia and when I saw another endodontist for a root canal I had to bail out on the procedure. I was referred to Dr. Carr by another dentist I know and I have to say I am so happy I went to him.
I was so relaxed I fell asleep during the procedure! It was over before I knew it — no anxiety (ask for medication), no pain.
The staff is super nice and very professional as well. If you have apprehension about getting a root canal, relax and go see Dr. Carr. Your fears are over.

A lot of money.

Dr. Carr is a skilled endodontist who utilizes a microscope for precision. I have had a root canal and an extraction performed efficiently with absolutely no pain during or after the procedure and minimal inflammation. This guy is a pro and very honest in his evaluations.

well, tell it like it is. the staff is oh so friendly, the doc is so nice, convivial, and good at his job. my wife had a root canal, and one might think she just had a small filling. I am with her following this event, and if ever there was painless dentistry, this is about as close as one could get, thank you sincerely, oh so sincerely.

Gilman Carr isn’t going to talk about puppies and kittens while he files out your tooth, but he’ll be honest, kind, and get the job done in a better than exceptional way. I was more than grateful when he accommodated my visit in less than 24 hours, and given the pain I was in prior to the procedure he could have discussed clubbing baby seals and I still would have been in love with his care. A delight, if you can say a root canal is such a thing… but honestly, if you need one, he’s the man to go to. His staff was great, and they were efficient and it was clear that toothaches are their specialty. If you ask around Slo, the clear trend is he’s done most peoples’ root canals, and is recognized as the best in the community, and I first hand agree.

First, I have never had anything beyond a a cleaning or a filling at my dentist of 33 years (Bruce Trubo). Now I needed a root canal and wondered about some of the horror stories I had heard. Dr. Carr was able to see me within five days. So in I went at 8:15 for my RC.
Dr. Carr and the DA Meg were thoroughly professional, always made sure there was no pain (not even an inkling of pain) and had me out the door in about two hours. Here is the really cool part, it has been 24 hours and I have had no residual pain. Not even an ache from having my mouth open for two hours. I can’t say enough good about what I thought was going to be a less than pleasant experience…
