Ride-On Transportation

We used Ride-​On for our wedding shuttle in April. I tip my hat to these guys. On time, very professional, guests actually complimented them after their ride, no issues of any sort. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend Ride-​On to anyone.

I have used Ride On and SLO Safe Ride, and I’ll be using SLO Safe Ride from now on since they are dependable for the same price. I have used these shuttle services for a non-​profit. Ride On may have different policies for regular service. Just letting folks know that there are other options that might be better suited to their needs if guaranteed time-​windows for pick up and drop off times are necessary or desired.

I’m sorry, but Ride On is terrible. They provide transportation for the disabled population in the area (some of which are medically fragile), and they are constantly having difficulty dropping off their disabled clients on time! It’s ridiculous!
A few years ago my brother was dropped off around 10pm. his drop off time was 4pm. My mother was frantic and calling dispatch every hour to see what was going on and they kept on saying, «He’ll be there in 10 minutes.» She never got a direct answer as to what was going on. Eventually we found out that the driver was new and got lost. While my brother has never been dropped off that late since then, he regularly gets dropped off an hour or more past his regular time.
Yesterday my brother was dropped off at 5:45. When my mother spoke to the driver he said that, «They don’t have many bus drivers and the ones we have are ready to quit, including me.» I really wish that Ride On would get their act together or that UCP could get another transportation service for their disabled clients because this is absolutely unacceptable. They clearly don’t care about the moral of their employees or wellbeing of their special needs clients.

We used Ride-​On to take a group of Cal Poly students down to Los Angeles to tour high-​level finance firms. The bus was 45 minutes late with no explanation, which meant that we were late to our presentations during the day. The driver had paper directions and we ended up needing to use one of our own smartphones to guide him. There were a host of other small issues as well that made our transportation feel less-​than-​professional. The driver was kind and got us to where we needed to go, but the company did not feel professional or prepared for a trip anywhere outside of San Luis Obispo.

I used Ride-​On transportation for my wedding last September, and they were amazing. I worked with Bob to create an itinerary that included shuttling guests from multiple hotels to our ceremony at Mission SLO and then to our reception in Arroyo Grande. Despite multiple stops and a fairly complex schedule, everything was spot on with Ride On’s service. The shuttles arrived on time to pick guests up and take them home. Bob did a great job of communicating with me during the entire process, and I felt like we got a great value for the service provided. I highly recommend Ride-​On!

I’ve only experienced fantastic service from Ride-​On Transportation. As a local wedding coordinator it’s extremely important to have prompt and reliable transportation for my clients. All the drivers are reliable and friendly. I would defiantly recommend Ride-​On for anyone in need of help with logistics and transportation of large groups.

We love using this service during the summer season when our guests need transportation for a wedding or event. They are super organized. Their drivers are cordial and work hard to please and delight their riders. Their vehicles are clean and their manager, Bob, is super great to work with and this is my 4^th year partnering with Ride On — he offers suggestions and expertise in coordinating times from many central coast locations. Ride On also has an extensive fleet of vehicles to meet various requirements and are always on time and trustworthy. I cannot recommend this vendor more. I think people forget that this organization is also a non-​profit and helps fund cerebral palsy — they work hard and give back.

Bob & the group at Ride On Transportation was awesome to work with at our wedding in Arroyo Grande! Our venue required that all guests be shuttled in & out, their team did a perfect job… even going out of their way to assist guests with specific needs. We were very impressed & would highly recommend their services!

So happy with Ride On’s service! I hired Ride On for a large corporate banquet and worked with Ride On to provide transportation for several of my clients’ weddings as well. Each time, I worked with Bob to set up the service and then worked with a variety of drivers. Every time I work with them I am surprised at the speed and comprehensiveness of the communication/​response. Each driver has been courteous with our guests and flexible with me in terms of tweaking and communicating last minute changes in our schedule. This was especially helpful when dealing with our guests staying at several hotels… requiring pretty precise pick up/​return times. On top of that, each time I call them for a quote for a new event, Ride On is consistently significantly lower in price than the other similar company in town. They are my first recommendation when people ask for transportation!

You get what you pay for — I tried to book them for my wedding and am glad I didn’t!
After numerous failed attempts of trying to get ahold of the rep (who I was told is the manager too –eek!) they happily took my credit card information, however never answered another email, my calls ended at people who answered the phone that «couldn’t do anything to help me get ahold of my rep» (why even answer the phone then?) — an entire month went by, time I could have been spending finding a reputable shuttle service. The trip information he initially gave me changed by the time I was actually able to get a hold of him and adding another 15 minutes to our schedule needs now wasn’t available, wtf? if you knew that, why did you wait a month for me to track you down for you to tell me that!
I’m so happy we’ve decided to book elsewhere — you want to feel confident in your vendors and being treated like this before the event even happened wasn’t going to work!
Bad customer service — I will now be paying more for better service, I’ve learned my lesson!

This company provided great service. If great service included being rude and not replying to my emails/​calls for a month. What a nightmare! I don’t want to mention any names But Bob needs to get a clue. He was a mess! Excited to move on.

I am sitting at Twin Cities Hospital with my 98 yr old mother who has been abandoned by Ride On. The driver did not check to see if we could come right out when we were finishing up with the doctor, which we could have. She is exhausted, upset and very uncomfortable in her wheelchair. It has been over an hour and the aide has called twice to no avail. I am so furious that my mother is being put through this. It is terrible treatment!

Ride-​On Transportation is great! They picked us up from my cousin’s wedding. The buses were clean and airconditioned and the drivers were very accommodating and nice. I even lost my wallet on the bus and they contacted me to let me know that they had it! They mailed it back to me promptly. Very good customer service!

We used RideOn to transport our guests to and from our wedding in SLO and could not have been happier with their incredible service. They were so kind, accommodating, very reasonably priced, and they even let us make the soundtrack played in the shuttle before & after the wedding! I would HIGHLY recommend RideOn for any transportation needs! They take arriving in style to a whole new level! Thanks so much to Bob, our driver Nick and everyone at RideOn!

Ride-​On is the best! We were is SLO for my sister’s Bachelorette party. We used Ride-​On to take us to dinner and then pick us up from McLintocks in Shell Beach and drop us off downtown. Bob, the gentlemen I worked with, was great! Everything was very organized and the van was amazing, very clean and comfortable. I look forward to using them again!
