Some of the best donuts I’ve ever had. If you like donuts you will like this place. The variety, creativity, and perfect execution of the donuts is some of the best I’ve seen anywhere.

Slo Donut Co. is an awesome place to grab a donut! Open 24/​7, they have a variety of old classics as well as some «gourmet» type donuts. My favorite is the chocolate pillow! A large bar filled with chocolate, you can never go wrong with. They raise the price of these to $ 3 (they used to be $ 2.20 =[). The majority of donuts are ~$ 1.00 per donut which is good too. My other favorite is the glazed buttermilk donuts.
My wife and I decided to go check out slo do co on donut day and we got donuts and a coffee. The iced coffee was only $ 1.00 in honor of donut day, but the donuts regular priced. All proceeds I believe went to Salvation Army. The donuts I ordered were nice a fresh and warm! That’s always a plus in my book. A hot donut is wayyyy better than a cold one. In the words of Jase Robertson «I can only eat about 6 cold donuts, but I can eat 20 hot donuts».
They’ve also expanded the shop, which is awesome! Although, when I went there, there was a heavy metal band playing inside which was kinda weird since it’s usually a place where students go to study. It was so loud I just pointed to the donuts I wanted and made no verbal communication to the staff. It obviously didn’t take away from the quality of the donuts (which is why I still have SLO do co at 4*), but I don’t know if it’s the right place for heavy metal bands playing extremely loud. Hopefully they don’t continue that.
Anyways!!! Great donuts, decent prices, always open. Slo Donut Co. is the one of the better donut spots I’ve been to in SLO!

I hate donuts, but goodness I love this place. I wasn’t able to write a review while I was there because of the rush to get back to the Bay, but wow are these donuts made with love.
Not only is the ambiance of the place cool and mellow — great for work or studying — the employees are incredibly chill and easy to converse with. As it was my first time there, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to get. So naturally, I asked a million questions — which many of the people behind the cases filed with joy answered energetically.
I ended up with a vegan vanilla coconut, which had real coconut chips on top, and the Lucky Charms donut. It was hard to decide between that and the Circus Animal Cookie — because wow is that a childhood throwback standoff — but I couldn’t say no to the amount of Lucky Charms marshmallows that kissed the top of that donut.
All in all: go here if you want to make your day.

24 hour a day place. Four star only because I went twice and they did not have the famous cro-​nut. First time was on national donut day at 1030 at night so I kind of understand. Went again on a Friday at like 11 and they were our. Once they are out, they are out. So there goes a star.
Other that that very good. I have tried the bacon maple bat, maple old fashioned, red velvet and a couple other. All very good. The first one I went all they had was some vegan versions. My kids were waiting so j got. Kids never knew the difference.
Sighted pricy but it is a boutiquey college town shop so it is to be expected. Received very good assistance at the counter.

SLODOCO recently had an expansion, and it looks great!
It used to be great place to get donuts, but recently it has been slipping.
The workers have become rude and there seems to never be a good supply of donuts.
Within the past two weeks I have gone three times (at different times of the day) and there were only few donuts available, only of a few unpopular varieties. One time I even called ahead to place an order, and was refused because they were not able to accommodate an order of 4 dozen donuts for a Thursday evening pickup.

Amazing selection of creative flavors, colors, and decorations. Their doughnuts are super fresh and not oily. Some of the best we’ve ever tried. Staff is very efficient and friendly, prices are reasonable, and plenty of parking. Oh, and Crème Brule doughnuts… yeah. :)

Who doesn’t want a maple bacon bar at 3 in the morning? This place is one of those hip style bakeries that do gourmet doughnuts with cereal and other fun toppings on them. I don’t know why they spell it donut, these are doughnuts. Coming from the Northwest I was missing these fun, adventurous doughnuts in my life until SLO Do Co opened down the road from me, and it has been heavenly. Giant apple fritters and bacon maple bars are always a delight. Stop by any time of day and enjoy it.

This place is relatively quiet in terms of chatter. A nice study spot when not crowded and they have good donuts! A fresh donut is on a whole ‘nother level. They’re just about to expand too so there will be even more room. The staff is really friendly.
My one complaint is that they have these cake balls called Amazeballs and I’ve only seen them maybe twice. They’re amazing (ha!) and I wish they would make them more often!

I love the fact that SLO Donut Company is open 24 hours because we’ve all had that late night donut craving but these donuts suffer because of it. I’ve been in twice and both times our donuts were old :(I love the creativeness of their donuts but unfortunately they look prettier than they taste.

Yasssss! The freshest donuts in town with a variety that will leave you staring at the counter for five minutes before ordering.

I LOVE this place! I’ve lived in the central coast all my life and I am so fucking surprised I have never heard of SloDo!!!
My personal favorite is the crème brûlée donut. Caramelized sugar on top makes a crispy outer shell, the crème has a hint of extra vanilla, and when it’s warm — BRUH. So damn good! I also love the sweet azuki and the chai crème cheese.
Come here. Now. (Since they’re open ²⁴⁄₇!)

Sooooo amazing. Great selections, from classic styles to the most unimaginable combinations. I had the maple bacon bar! Yum! So much better than voodoo

Slo Do Co did not disappoint. We went there for a sweet treat after a hike in the Poly Canyon and what a treat it was! We couldn’t resist getting a whole pile of donuts, the options and display were so tempting. My favorite donut after much deliberation was the Chai Cream Cheese, so delicate and flavorful. I also love the idea of a crème brûlée donut with the caramelized sugar top, although I didn’t love the cream filling. My waistline appreciates that I do not live close to SDC but my tastebuds do not! I’ll be back on all my future visits to SLO.

Basically that summarizes my experience. I came to SLO as a visit, and ended up coming to this place twice in one weekend. The chocolate donuts are good, but the strawberry ones are even better. Surprisingly enough, the thai tea offered here was so good I had to get myself a large one for the ride back to Los Angeles. It’s a great place to study or meet up with others, and it offers wifi too! I’m excited to come back and see which speciality donuts they have :)

SLO do co is a staple in San Luis obispo! My boyfriend goes to cal poly so I like to come here when I visit. It’s a 24hr donut shop, but they also sell other pastries, coffee and Thai tea there. A lot of cal poly students come here to study since its 24hrs and they have free wifi.
Their donuts are so good. So far I’ve only tried their maple bacon bar and they chocolate cream filled donut. Both were really good and really sweet. Their treasure here though is their cream puffs. They’re so delicious! It’s pretty much a donut hole with cream puff cream inside of it. It’s heavenly if you take it home and freeze it first. All of it goes great with milk. They also surprisingly sell Thai tea here. You wouldn’t think of a donut shop selling it but they do and it’s actually good. It doesn’t taste too sweet and it actually tastes authentic. Everything here is fairly priced as well. Including their donuts and drinks.
What does suck about this place is they run out of different stuff a lot. Usually they run out of the cream puffs by the middle of the day. I guess that’s what happens when they’re 24hrs though.
Overall great place to pick up donuts or get some studying done!

This place is pretty popular. I wanted to get a chai with cream cheese filling but they were out :(
I’m not sure if they still do this anymore, but they’d once in awhile feature a local artist. My friend performed there.

Wow! Coming from someone who normally doesn’t eat doughnuts because I’m super picky about the freshness/​quality.
Since it was during the holidays the place was pretty dead. I did come during the summer and it was packed with students. It is open ²⁴⁄₇ and the customer service is okay depending on who is working. They are expanding the store so look forward to more space.
The most important thing about this place is the doughnuts and they are good! My favorites were the Bacon Maple bar and Apple Fritter.
Why the 3 stars? I think it’s pretty expensive for just a doughnut and customer service could be better.

They have 111-​ish donut offerings per day. It’s all the basics, in any combination you can think of. THEN SOME! And we are talking about Nutella, Cookie dough, mini apple fritter creativity here.
The donut rainbow display is aesthetically pleasing to look at.

But I did drive from NorCal to Slo in the middle of the night and this was the first place i went to. :) The donut shop is super cute and chill. Perfect for hang outs. The workers are friendly. They totally messed with me by telling my friend to hide from me while I went back to the car. I had no idea what was going on for the first 5 minutes. AHA Anyways, I got their nutella donut. It was the size of a poptart. I thought it might be too sweet but it had the perfect amount of nutella inside. They also sell milk which goes great with any donut. :) Definitely check this place out.

This place was really cool to be one late night when I stumbled upon it but upon return wow even better than I remember!
SloDoCo screams student friendly with the seating, hours and wow it’s a sight to see.
Donuts are good, they have some good options that basically resemble Danishes. Remember to customize!
