T. Leigh Couture offers by appointment pick up and delivery of Custom Design, Fittings, Alterations and Repairs.

I will design a wedding dress or special occasion attire, fit or alter existing items, hem pants or repair a favorite pair of torn jeans.

History

Established in 2010.

I have been sewing since I received my first sewing machine at 2 ½ years old. Took my first formal sewing class in Junior High and continued taking classes every year through High School and into College. Since College, I have been sewing on the side for myself, close friends and family members providing alterations, repairs and even custom design services. I have always had the skill-​set for sewing and decided in 2010 to put my skill-​set and knowledge to good use as T. Leigh Couture!

Business Owner

I am Teresa Leigh and I fancy calling myself a Sew-​etician! Sewing is an old art and I am an old soul. I come from a long line of seamstresses– my mother made a lot of my clothes growing up (I never wanted to look or dress like anyone else and really liked one-​of-​a-​kind items), my maternal grandmother was a professional seamstress for 25 years, my paternal grandmother designed and made the quilts used to sleep under, and I use my paternal great-grandmother’s sewing machine every day.

I showed an interest in sewing at a very young age. I received my first sewing machine for Christmas at 2 ½ years old and have been sewing ever since! I started out by making outfits for my babydolls. I love fashion. I love variety. I love patterns and color. And, I love pink!
