History

Established in 1995.

Hanson-​Smith Cabinetry Inc. was established in December of 1995.

Founders Todd «Hanson» and Mark «Smith» started their custom cabinetry shop in Ventura CA. on the principles that custom cabinetry for residential customers could be affordable.

In 1997 they moved the business to North County San Diego (San Marcos) as both partners started families in Carlsbad.

Since then, they have built their business and reputation on offering quality, locally built, and installed custom cabinetry for residences across Southern California.

Hanson Smith Cabintry, Inc did an awesome job with my bathroom cabinets. They are made of natural Alder. The construction is high quality. They have soft close doors and drawers and are extremely well made. Their service is personal. They handled my questions and helped me to coordinate with my counter installation as well. This is a top notch small business. Thank you Todd and Mark!!!

We did talk to many poeple before choosing Hanson Smith Cabinetry. We never regretted our choice. If you’re a smart buyer you need to meet with other cabinet makers and make your decision. What was important to us was the quality and the price competitiveness. In the end they were at top of the list. Ultimately, they wound up doing multiple jobs for us, master bath, master bedroom built+in closets, guest bedroom built in closets and «office area», and finally our kitchen. Our friends and neighbors have been so impressed with the design, quality and workmanship, many of them have had Hanson Smith do work at their homes also. Another thing that was very impressive was their neatness and cleanliness. Definitely highly recommend Hanson Smith!

Quality workmanship, integrity, professionalism & just all around fantastic people, that’s Hanson & Smith. I’ve had the pleasure of working with them on a complete kitchen remodel, complete master bath remodel & new cabinetry for our den. These projects were done over the course of the past 6 years. Each time without hesitation I called on Mark to do the project and the results were fantastic. Their prices are more than fair and the quality of the workmanship is outstanding. I have had so many compliments on our new master bath cabinet. Mark made it look like a piece of furniture; just beautiful. If you are looking for personal service with old world quality, give these two a chance, you will not be disappointed.

Mark has been doing work for me for years at my own home and some rental properties, he is brilliant, with design he has built numerous pieces of furniture for me to match the cabinets, in kitchen, hallway, bedrooms, den. the workmanship is above and beyond, prices very good, quality, cleanliness, and installation on schedule I even had him do all my garage cabinets, and people say I should rent my garage out as it looks so good. My kitchen cabinets are painted, antique finish, truly he should post a picture to show the difference between the dark and light cabinetry Thank you Mark Smith! Karen R.

I cannot praise these guys highly enough. Their design work was beautiful, price reasonable, and delivery and installation were on time and flawless and done by the owners themselves. We remodeled our kitchen and two and a half baths and they did all the cabinetry. It feels so good to support local craftsmen rather than a big box store. I hope this is it, and that I never need to remodel again, but if I do, it will definitely be these guys.
