Would NOT recommend, employees have absolutely no respect. I would take my kids any other place.

My brother goes to this karate studio and I recommend it highly. All of the staff is very nice! They move you up to a belt ONLY when you are ready. He really enjoys it. He is now a purple belt. We are very happy here.

I am a HUGE fan of this place. My 6 year old just took up the art of kicking ass. Thanks with help from IIMA he is doing just that. The sensia’s and sempi’s are all great with the kids. They all have great pactiants dealing with the kids and keeping their attention during practice. Shehon Brown is a dedicated person and makes sure not only the kids but the parents are welcome. The Dojo is very clean and inviting. Stop by one of their locations.

This dojo is super clean and the staff is friendly! My son is very fond of his Sensei Micheal and enjoys class. Very affordable! Very easy to get to and parking is always available. Stop by sometime to check it out you wont be disappointed!

I feel lucky to have found this school for my son. I was leery of a one year commitment for a 5 year old boy but it has turned out to be one of the best things we could have done for him. I am amazed at how much he has learned in the past 9 months. I see his confidence growing and am thrilled that he has been able to use these skills to stand up for himself with neighborhood bully. Sensei Jerry is a great leader and my son really looks up to him. I am continually impressed with Jerry’s drive and commitment to the kids and this program. I highly recommend this dojo to all of my friends.

My daughter has been coming to karate class here for about a year and a half, and she has just recently moved up to the orange belt. I really enjoy taking her to karate here for several reasons. The instructors are great. We enjoy Sensei Michael’s class. He has a great rapport with the kids. Also Sensei Lindsey and Sensei Judy have been great to my daughter.
The prices are reasonable, and the facility is nice with plenty of space for parents to watch the classes. My son and I use the gym while my daughter is in class, which has been great for our fitness as well as hers. She has increased in confidence since she has started karate, and I think that it has been great for her to challenge herself.
There is a demo team for kids who want to perform and academic achievement nights to award scholastic achievement. I think it is great that they are not only interested in physical fitness but character development as well.

We have been going to IIMA for almost seven years. I am very happy with the staff and facilities along with the gym they have onsite. My son enjoys the classes and instructors and really looks forward to the summer camp every year. We have made some good friends who we see outside of karate as well, which is nice.

This is a great place for everyone. The style taught at IIMA is Wado Ryu, which emphasizes harmony rather than strength. It’s a karate-​tae kwon do mix. They also offer other classes, such as krav maga, sparring, and weapons training. There’s a gym next door, which a lot of parents use while their kids are in class. My son has been training at IIMA for years (since he was 5) and still loves it! The instructors are world and national champions. They are all great with the kids.
