Just to make sure everyone is on the same page… This is a food truck. A dern diggity good one at that. So as such, they do have a tendency to move form time to time, as trucks often do. However, they are most often found in the parking lot of the liquor store here off SanteFe. If you want legitimately good baja seafood then this is your stop. I have, on several occasions, seen the line close to a dozen people deep here. It is worth it and I ave been surprised at the speed with which they kick out their tasty treats. But the food here is the real star… the classic fish tacos are some of the best Ive ever had and they are dirt cheap at that! On top of that, the ceviche and shellfish are on point! Sounds so goood… I think Ill go get some now…(shuts laptop and walks out the door)…

Randomly found this truck on the way home, we were pretty hungry and decided to stop to give it a try, and oh MYGOD, turned out to be the best fish taco ever, the grilled shrimp taco was even better, it was magical; stuffed with perfectly cooked shrimp and veggies. Absolutely loved it!

These guys have been camped out down the street from my work for about a month or so. Was skeptical at first, but there are always lines and plenty of people there so figured it was worth a shot. Have been twice now. Guys who work there are super nice. Yesterday I was served some sort of vegetable soup sample while I was waiting. It was delicious, and appreciated while I was waiting in the not-so-warm weather. Have had the fish, shrimp and octopus tacos. Ingredients are fresh and portions generous for the price. They also have the Mexican bottled cokes too to wash it all down with. No seating, so prepare to get it to go or picnic in your car. Well worth the visit! I hope they stay for a while!!!

Finally had the chance to try this place! Next time I’m brining and folding chair… The food is delicious and addicting… I enjoyed both the fish and shrimp tacos. Much better than Rubios. They also have a soul which a great compliment to whatever you decide to try. Bring an appetite and your wallet. There are several hit sauces available too. Be prepared to wait during peak hours. Next time around I’ll be trying their seafood platter. Look at my pictures!

Wow!!! I will say it again! Wow! The best stuff you can get north of the border! I spoke to a Mexican dude at the tire shop who suggested it to me. He said he never had better Mexican food locally in San Marcos area. They are currently parked on a street by Frys in San Marcos.

Found the new location at Linda Vista & Grand by accident. Just happened to be driving by. Took a chance because the was a crowd standing around the truck and it was cold and windy. Figured it was good. Since I’d already had some appetizers at Acapulco I wasn’t really hungry. So I only ordered two fish tacos and got them to go since it was windy and cold. 15 minutes they were still warm and tasty. Very tasty in fact and huge. Needless to say I was stuffed. Went back the next day, this time took my truck so I could drop the tailgate and ate there. This time I tried the fish tostada which was great, and 2 fish tacos. I can’t imagine going there and not getting a fish taco. Everything looks great, it’s going to be a regular stop for me and it’ll take a while to work thru the entire menu but I going to give it a try.

The best shrimp cocktail in North County. Everyone that works here is super nice and the Christian music that they place is an A++++ to us. I totally recommend this place their new location is in San Marcos facing Fry’s Electronics.

Finally found these guys after a frustrating search and boy was it worth it. The location show on Unilocal is incorrect, as several have noted, they’re behind Fry’s. I went with the fish tacos as kind of a baseline for my first visit, hot, fresh, crispy fish with pico and sauce. Absolutely great. Top Tip: I would recommend calling in your order for pickup, they’re parked right on the street and there’s no place to sit while you wait. Made to order so there is a bit of a wait but so worth it. Definitely will be back.

Seriously the best fish tacos you’ll ever have in your life! Super glad its also located in North County, so I have to no longer have to make the long drive to the other truck in San Yisidro. Recent location of the food truck is now along Linda Vista street near Fry’s for anyone who is looking for the truck(:

This place relocated to Linda vista Dr, and Grand across from Fry’s. Customer service is great, Food is amazing. Salsa is spicy, if you are a light weight stick to the light sauce.

So many great choices! Fish tacos are delicious! Agua chile is great as well. Cheap and great food, what else do you need? They’ve moved behind Fry’s near Grand/Linda Vista for lunch. Call ahead to make sure that’s where they are!

Absolute BEST fish tacos this side of the border. I grew up down south and after moving to North County years back, I have not found a real fish taco until now. My usual order is 2 fish tacos and a shrimp a la diabla taco. The spot is a taco truck in front of a Liquor Store. Don’t expect anything fancy… But do expect a 5 star visit.

BESTFISHTACO I have ever had! I was expecting a normal sized(small) fish taco, but to my surprise, it was jumbo sized! $ 1.75 for a jumbo taco? Yes, please! I would think a fish taco that good and that big would’ve cost so much more. I’m not a oyster fan either, but now my views have changed! $ 9 for 6 was a great deal for how delicious it tasted.(I can’t believe I’m saying that about oysters) I guess I’m a fan now! Overall, great first impression! This is a little gem in San Marcos !

Finally we have a legit mariscos truck in North County! Neighbors, come check them out! $ 1.50 delicious fish tacos and other Ensenada-style fruits of the sea! I had their fish and gobernador. The fish was crispy and flaky with the right amount of condiments and flavors. Love the mayo with the orange creamy hot sauce. Make sure you let them know if you don’t want mayo in yours. The pink watery sauce is the spiciest, even more so than the red chili one — it’s made of habanero. Warned you! Gobernador was packed with perfectly charred sizable shrimp! The sautéed green bell peppers, onions and cheese cannot go wrong in this taco! The lady was friendly with a smile but it took her a while to acknowledge me and take my order while she was busy handing out food to customers at the pickup window and talking to the chefs. I believe this German truck is the same one that I had in SD but I’m not sure. They do have another location in SD but I honestly can’t keep track. Whatever. I’ll come back to this one since it’s darn good and it’s closer to me!

Good Mexican seafood has finally made its way north of I-8 with the arrival of Mariscos German in San Marcos. On my first visit, I purchased two seafood tacos: one mixed seafood with veggies, and the other grilled shrimp. Both were large and contained two tortillas. I could not eat all I ordered in one sitting, even though I had a ravenous appetite at the time. Both tacos were delicious. * Don’t get confused with the name German. The business has nothing to do with Germany, German cuisine, or the European Union.

So happy they are now in San Marcos!!! Used to drive to San Diego for their food but now they are in North County. Best fish tacos, and mariscos! It’s hard to believe all this yummy food comes from a truck! Prices are very reasonable, if you are in mood for real mariscos, you need to try this place, it won’t disappoint!
