The CTMC store is the third Mochas and Javas store and is conveniently located in the hospital lobby. We hope you never have to visit the hospital unexpectedly, but if you do we hope to make your visit a little more enjoyable. The CTMC store offers various snack foods and sandwiches. We also offer a condensed drink menu to make your choice a little easier. This store has free Wi-​Fi and ample indoor and outdoor seating.

History

Established in 2003.

Mochas and Javas was established in 2003 with the goal of creating a comfortable, community gathering place where extraordinary beverages and food, and unsurpassed customer service could be enjoyed. Our staff is encouraged to educate our guests about our products, rather than merely selling. We take every measure to provide quality products by avoiding high-​fructose corn syrup, and by purchasing natural and organic products at every opportunity. All of our beans are roasted locally and weekly which ensures our coffee is always fresh, and is one of many ways we support local business. We support many community organizations and charities through donations and partnerships. We take responsibility for our environmental impact by using responsible packaging, buying locally, reducing energy consumption, recycling, and composting.

Manager

Claire Perkins was raised in San Marcos and is an alum of San Marcos High School. Claire’s love for food and drink lead her to earn a culinary arts degree from Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, TX. Her love of coffee bought her to Mochas and Javas. Personally, she is a loyal customer and prefers Mocha’s and Java’s over any other coffee shop in town. Working for Mocha’s and Java’s has not only made Claire’s coffee passion a reality, it has also helped her make new friends who are just as passionate about great coffee.
