Established in 2010.

Andrew York had over ten years of construction and landscape experience before he started ProDeck Construction in early 2010. Built on a love for woodworking and creative design, ProDeck aims to be the go-​to company for San Diego residents looking for decking specialists. Because of ProDeck’s commitment to customer satisfaction, high quality of workmanship, and honest and fair business practices, the bulk of their work is based on referrals from past projects.

In October 2010, Andrew was one of three professional carpenters selected from around the country to participate in a gazebo building competition for the DIY Network. With just six hours to build a custom gazebo from the ground up, Andrew was the winner of $ 10,000 and the DIY Dominator trophy.

I recently had Andrew build a deck off the second story of my house. He was fast and reliable. His crew even worked on Thanksgiving to get the deck finished quickly.

I’ve used Andrew three times. Once to rebuild a pair of porches at a rental property I was preparing for sale, and again to build a new porch at my home. Then I had him build a arbor at my mom’s house.
Andrew is really great. He was quick. He completed the job on time. His pricing is extremely competitive. I was hard pressed to find a licensed party that could beat his price.
He’s polite and informative. He clearly takes pride in his work. I honestly am hoping I have some other good reason to use him again.
He was even nice when I sent his check to the wrong address.

I’ve used Andrew for several deck and railing projects for properties I own or manage. Andrew is fair, honest, and pleasant to work with. All projects were completed on time and on budget. The finished products have been great and I feel very confident as he stands by his work. There was one project that had a minor issue a few months later and he was quick to rectify. That kind of service is difficult to find in the construction industry. I feel very confident recommending Andrew to friends and family.

I had Trex Decking installed at my home by ProDeck under a Trex warranty claim. Several bids were submitted and I chose the low bid (from Andrew York at ProDeck). I have high standards and ProDeck exceeded my expectations. From start to finish they were prompt, clean and conscientious. I hired them again a year later to rebuild a trellis. Again, I was impressed with how hard they tried to do the best job possible. Andrew is young, but don’t be fooled — he is way more together than contractors twice his age.
