Rancho Santa Fe Village Apartments

This is a low income Senior property, and they do check your income thoroughly. This apartments are above a market on Rancho Santa Fe Rd. This building is filthy, for a number of reasons Dogs live on the property and will bring in dirt from the outside, and it is supposed to be a Non –Smoking property. There is a place in the parking lot for smokers; however many of the smokers smoke anywhere they want. Management does not stop this smoking. You can smell the smoke in the parking lot and in the elevators when the smokers walk into the elevator to return to the apartments.
If you put in a request for maintenance, you may get some help after 72 hours or even more days later.
Tenants steal shopping carts from the area stores, and then run the carts along partial cement floors at all hours. Management does nothing about this situation. The laundry rooms are always dirty and never truly get cleaned by one part time hired cleaner. The carpeting on the first floor may get vacuumed once in a great while, but not too often. Carpeting on all the other floors are never vacuumed.
There are a number of gated doors to enter the building, and they are generally locked except for one gate near the mail box and the office which is open from about 9:00 AM — 5;00 pm, Monday through Friday. Be prepared to have fruit flies flying in your apartment all year round. Management does nothing about this problem.
There is one back gate area for entry into the building facing the West which is barely lit by the light sticks at night stuck into the ground; however very rarely lit. Since this is a Senior property with many tenants on walkers and on wheel chairs, this can be a hazard to enter at night.
Since this parking lot is open to the public, there are signs for no skateboards, bikes or cycles to be going through the parking lot. however this is a continued practice by outside children of various ages
Had I know that all of this would have occurred during the time I have lived here, I would not have moved here. You have been warned. I do not recommend that as a Senior that you live on this property.
