I have a soundproofing project for my basement bedroom. I was hesitant to design it myself and was tempted to call an expensive professional installer. Randy with SS Co. reviewed my project in detail and has been very informative and accessible. I will come back and change my 4 stars to 5 when the project is completed successfully, which I have faith it wll be.

I got a call from Randy, who spent some time discussing my problem. How often does that happen? He spent time with me asking questions about my vibration and informing me of things I did not know. I spoke with Randy who gave me very competent info. I put in the order and w/​i 3 days the product arrived. The instructions were to leave an air space of 1 – 1.5″ between the glass and the foam. But since I only had 1.5″ to work with, I put the foam in contact with the glass– no air space. Also because of «over cutting» on all sides, when squeezed into the frame, the middle buckled and bowed out. So I secured the foam with tape and purchased from HD a this board-​backing which gave a nice look to the room.
This combination blocked out all heat– it was very hot a few days, blocked out the light and greatly reduced the outside noise. My office in on the 3rd floor, faces West as well as being street-​side. I am 3 buildings from an intersection and emergency vehicles going through that intersection were very noisy. With only 3 our of 4 windows covered, that noise is now very acceptable.
This is a great product and works as advertised.

I called them earlier today, and was told they would call me back later, when the right person was back in the office. They did that as promised, and gave me a VERY detailed description of what was the best way to do the soundproofing on the small office building in need of these upgrades. Extremely knowledgeable and service minded. I will use them and their partners based on the initial call. The other companies I called today regarding the same project will not even be considered.

I called Super Soundproofing after finding them on the web and spoke with Randy who was so nice and so informative I simply had to come on here and leave a review!
Randy is very knowledgeable and explained the science behind soundproofing in a way that gave me a clear idea of what my options are. He was also helpful in answering all my questions. I now have a better, more realistic concept of what I should do in moving forward with my renovation. And he gave me all of this without knowing if I would be purchasing anything from him or not.

Based on the advice and materials that we got at Super Soundproofing, we closed off our garage door for $ 450 in soundproofing materials and $ 150 in lumber and drywall. Other than the rumbling of huge trucks outside, which is more vibration than noise, we hear nothing: no dogs, no daycare drop offs, no friendly neighbors. And they don’t hear our music. Randy explained exactly how to build the wall in technical construction terms and gave us a schematic. We also got STC 44 window glass from Wilson Glass in Ramona. We are thrilled, and I think the neighbors are happy, too.

Just received my order after four weeks. I was never notified online that the items were back ordered. After contacting them via e-​mail I didn’t receive a response. Unfortunately, they didn’t even send the right product. I wouldn’t recommend using them as now I have to go through the whole process again. I will return the item and if I don’t receive a credit will dispute the charge for incomplete order. Your time is more valuable.
