Thomasville of San Marcos

This store is basically changes names and it’s now woodbridge, this particular show room in compare to the one on miramar has less selections and unfortunately the sales people were rather on the pushy side, which 100% of the time will make me want to shop somewhere else!

One of those places were the horrible sales people try to trap you and waste your time

Vicky offered assistance shortly after I entered the showroom. I told her I was looking for round glass topped dinning table and her is the kicker… contemporary style! Why am I at Thomasville? Because I have been everywhere else! I have found all sorts of tables I like online but I just cannot see spending that kind of money on something I can’t see and touch in person. Not batting a eye Vicky took me over to a line they carried that had more modern lines and was able to find something that may work for us! Pricey? Yes. Quality? Absolutely! Still undecided she is checking on some options for me but she zeroed right in on what I wanted and no pressure.

You know… All things considered, 4k isn’t that bad for a great couch that gets a lot of use and will last you for many years.
Except when that couches springs break multiple times, the stuffing goes flat within the first year (when you started with the firmest option) and the customer service sucks. Four years later and I wish I had not bought this particular sofa.
Now we have purchased a *lot* of furniture from Thomasville over the years and I expected way better then this. $ 500 to restuff the removable cushions even though the salespeople even said that they shouldn’t be that worn down?
Speaking of sales people: on more then one instance I have been completely ignored in this location by salespeople and literally treated as if I didn’t exist… all three times because there were older persons twice my senior entering the store AFTER I had.
Three times.
Now I can understand that my tastes run a little… mature, when it comes to furniture compared to most persons my age: but when I get completely brushed to the side and practically bowled over by a salesperson who couldn’t give me the time of day-​for her to greet a much older couple-​clearly starving for a sale and assuming (?) they had more money then the 30-​something?
Once is poor sales judgement. Multiple times with several employees is a systemic training issue. You make no assumptions in sales. When a young guy comes in wearing track pants and a polo, check to make sure his watch isn’t worth more then your car before being disrespectful and pointedly ignoring him for the pensioners on a fixed income.
…though frankly some of the visits to this thomasville location have left me wishing I had been left alone if you know what I mean.

Lousy service. That is all I can say about this place. They tell you anything to secure your business but once they have it they forget about you and your complains. I bought a pair of sofas about a year ago. After three months the sofas arrived with no pillows and wrong arm rest covers. Called and complained about poor fit on arm covers at least a 100 times. The manager always explained that it was being made or it was in the warehouse or that it will be brought to us. After several months of complaining, I have given up on these people; Just remember that if anything goes wrong with your order, you are on your own. The company will not support you.

I went into the San Marcos store on Dec. 9, 2011 with exactly what I wanted in my mind. After looking around for a few minutes, and ignored by a couple of rude sales people, someone finally offered help. Two hours later I was paying for the things that I had my eye on as well as a chair and ottoman that the sales rep. said I really should get. Spent over $ 8,000 and was still charged a delivery fee.
Later in the week I contacted the store to cancel that extra chair and ottoman, I still wasn’t sure that it was right. Well, the sales rep. promised it would «be perfect».
February 2012, furniture is delivered and yep that chair and ottoman looks BAD. Called the sales rep who says she will see what can be done. 1 week-​no call back, 2 weeks-​after more messages-​no call back. I walk into the store and am met with «What are you doing here?» Are you kidding? Finally after ordering more stuff and agreeing to pay $ 323 restocking fee they agreed to take back what the sales rep promised would be perfect. Now it is June 27, 2012 and the items that were ordered on February 21, still are not here.
Conclusion, the worst customer service ever. I have spent close to $ 10,000 there in 2 months and am still having to call for updates.
Think twice, maybe three times, before going into Thomasville Furniture in San Marcos.

I bought my very first white leather sofa here. The lady here eyeballed me on my face until I couldn’t put the sofa down. The eyes that rested on that perfect, succulent sofa were, for lack of a better phrase, EPIC.

Initially, had trouble with this store. But, Brandon the manager finally got it right and followed through with my order.
We need furniture for our whole house. We decided to do one room at a time. I first spoke to a sales girl, at this store, in person whom never called me back. When I found out she had left the company, I tried another sales girl in this store whom again, did not call me back. So, I tried the Mission Valley store and again the sales girl did not call me back. I’m thinking ‘business must be really great at Thomasville, they have so much of it and are so busy they can’t all you back’. However, every time I visited the store, it was empty.
So, I kept trying and finally after five sales people I found Brandon La Valley. Don’t bother speaking to anyone else, both stores in SD and more in AZ, are owned by the same person. If, you really want to buy furniture ask for Brandon, he will follow through.
My biggest compliment is for the delivery guys. They were professional, respectful and helpful. They are truly, an asset to Thomasville and the best part of the whole experience.
