The staffs are friendly here to ask us be patient while the place is a little small always packed in the evenings. The desserts are very good and I enjoy their main store in San Francisco with more selections… well, this location could cost more in rent so it’s a smaller branch with smaller kitchen, fair enough!

I recently moved to San Mateo(born and raised San Franciscan) and was really excited to see that there is a 100% Sweet Café here as I love the one in the city. Beyond the name, the similarities basically stops there. I think they have the physical menu, but upon further inspection many of the items were crossed off, meaning those items were not offered at this location. This was such a bummer. For someone who likes to have a lot of variety, this truncated menu was pretty lackluster. The restaurant itself is very cramped, just a handful of tables. I ended up getting the taro shaved snow with a few different toppings. That was tasty but not enough for me to go back.

I have been came to this store many times, but every time I came, their menu options became less and less. I don’t understand why they don’t provide enough food for their customers? If they don’t have enough ingredients, why open the store? I ordered the hot grass jelly and egg puffs last Sunday. The hot grass jelly include taro, bean, and pearl, the taro is very sweet and the toppings are a little. If you want to eat good hot grass jelly, I recommend you go to Tea pa pa in Fremont. Their hot grass jelly is delicious, it has a lot of toppings inside. !00% Sweet café’s egg puffs is not good as well. They baked the egg puffs too long. it tasted too crispy for whole egg puffs and it is expensive. I will not come back this store for a long time because I felt so disappointed.

Wow, just wow. I never thought that you could mess up dessert so badly. If you are reading this review, I beg you, please go down the street to Dessert Republic or Eggettes, two nearby places that are world’s better. Where do I even begin? Ordered two egg puffs. They were over cooked and dry on the outside, partially under cooked(almost raw) on the inside. Let me put it to you this way: I had three kids at my table and yet they gave it a try and didn’t eat more. In fact as I was leaving, I saw several other tables with half eaten egg puffs on the table. Yikes. You’ve been warned. Snow Ice. NOTSMOOTH. Very small portions. The worst I’ve ever had. Go to Vampire Penguin instead if you want this. Mango gi gi(with noodle) dessert. Bleech. tasted like water. Awful, just awful. Stewed Papaya. Two little pieces of papaya. Tiny little portion. There’s more but you get the picture. I grew up in Hong Kong, LA and SF, and by far, this is the worst HK/Taiwanese style dessert place I’ve ever been too. In fact, I immediately went to Cha time down the block and ordered a tea to get the nasty taste out of my mouth. Avoid at all costs. Sorry 100% Sweet Café, you earn a 0% from me.

This is the worst Asian dessert place ever. The place is so hot and stuffy. The egg puffs taste nothing like egg puffs, it tasted like dry cardboard. The worker was so busy she never brought us napkins and when I ask her… she only gave me 3 lousy napkins(when we had 9 people).

Okay, so this place may be a little too chinky for those of you who don’t speak Chinese. Don’t get me wrong, it’s perfect for a quality, cheap milk tea to go. However, a lot of the menu food and dessert items will be foreign to westerners. It is vey similar to dessert republic in that it is a HK style café. The employees don’t speak great English so you’re better off using Chinese if you can. On to the product: Regular tapioca milk tea-very solid. The boba was perfectly cooked and the tea itself was very HK style. They have a few drinks that are $ 2 for a large, so worth it. Next are the egg puffs-very average but for a decent price. Food– I had the pork cutlet and teriyaki chicken unagi clay pot rice. The food was very good, I was very impressed. They also have a lot of Asian desserts such as tang yuan that I still need to try. Ambiance– eh, bright colors and a lot of paper posters. My friend was weirded out by the Asian tv shows playing on the tv. The café is very small and simple. Service-it really depends on the server you have. I have had very varied experiences. Overall, great place for cheap Asian food/desserts/drinks

Stopped to get some egg puffs on my way back to car after running an errand, I ordered the puffs and decided to get some milk tea, when the paper cup was brought to me, it was still smelling as burned cardboard after apparently being heated in the microwave, the content was lukewarm and barely drinkable. I could have asked to have beverage reheated but they seemed too busy in their conversation to really care to put a bit of thought into making a customer’s drink. I decided not bother them after I became invisible to both the attendant and the older lady assisting him. For sure not returning to waste my money.

There’s not a ton of places around here that has good Taiwanese snow ice so this review is mostly for that. The service is so-so at best, the décor is aged, and other items that my friends got, meh. But the snow ice was yummy and left me wanting more! And they served it with fresh lychee and mangos! What a nice surprise given the ambiance of the place! That said the other items like waffles or egg pudding, I would probably rate as average. It looked like most people there in the first sitting was there for actual dinner, not desserts despite the name of the place. We didn’t try any but am curious. It looked authentic.

Comfortable sofa seating. Few board games pass time. I will stay with 100% sugar with less ice.

Excuse meee, why is the pudding in an egg shell not a top item? They were delicious! They are custard pudding literally in a half cut egg shell. Not too sweet and still have the egg taste. We also ordered the shaved green tea ice with red beans and almond flakes, and this Macau dessert that has something like a roasted breadcrumbs sprinkled on top of vanilla ice cream(mmmmmm) I would definitely go back as a lot of their desserts are very unique and yummy!

Surprised that I haven’t written a review for this place… it’s one of those, I don’t know what I want to eat/drink/snack on place that will have everything you can imagine that is HK inspired. Nothing is particularly amazing, but also nothing is too bad… It’s one of those jack of all trades restaurants for the times when I’m most indecisive. :)

Totally disappointed ! Happened in town to try this place. Service no, but it’s ok all I care about is the food. Ordered a very simple dessert tufu pudding. It is a soymilk PUDDING. It wasn’t like a traditional one with smooth texture.

I gave a 4 star because I think this place is better than 3. Probably deserve a 3.5. Anyways, I tried their noodles. 1A and the Thai flavor one. Both of them are decent. I mean this is a dessert place so the noodles obviously won’t be as good as the ones in restaurants. They were fine. Also, I ordered the egg pudding. Very delicious! The dessert sampler was okay. I expected better quality.

We had just finished dinner in the area. On our way to the car, the smell of egg puffs pulled me in. I’m a true believer that there’s always room for dessert and my wife agreed with me to check it out. Yay! The place is small. They can only fit a handful of tables in here but there are two TVs. It’s not only a dessert place, other hot meals are available as well. We ended up ordering more items than planned. The egg puffs came out nice and hot. Not the best looking since the shell was porous. But the texture and the taste was fine. I wouldn’t mind ordering them again. What struck me though was the taro smoothie. This was unusually frothy. I had looked away for a moment and the volume of the drink shrunk as the air bubbles dissipated quickly. Basically, I was given 2⁄3 of the smoothie at the most, certainly not«100%.» It also tasted very milky. On the other hand, the hot grass jelly was pretty good. They were generous with the taro chunks, beans and boba. Wish it had stayed hot longer however. Service was minimal and unenthused from the one young man. There are many dessert joints in the neighborhood. If I do make my way back here, I’ll probably check out the sago. It looked interesting.

The name on the front is 100% Noodles house… Very weird! And also they serve food, from pasta to hot pots to almost Mexican… Even weirder. All this none sense on the side, the deserts here are good. Weird stuff but good! We had the shaved snow green tea, the green tea and red bean pudding and the flowerpot tiramisu. –The shaved snow was really good and the portion was big. –The green tea and red bean pudding, tasted good but I couldn’t bare the texture in my mouth. R didn’t mind it but I couldn’t eat it. it’s like a gel-ish texture. –The flowerpot tiramisu was actually very good. Didn’t taste like authentic tiramisu, and wasn’t expecting it to do so anyways, but I quite enjoyed it. The crumbled cookies on top added a great taste and texture. Overall, I really like the place, it is very small and super casual but what I tasted was good. Gotta give them credit for the creative and cute presentation. Oh something was fishy though as when we received the bill the address was a place in San Francisco not San Mateo.

Man this was a disappointment… With it’s big neon sign, it’s hard not to notice this place. Having passed by this place many times, we finally had to chance to go in! The menu was Huge, with lots of crazy dessert items. It was had to believe a place this small, with only a couple of tiny tables, can serve hundreds of different dessert items on their menu. In any case, we ordered the most authentic items – the egg pudding and the sweet tofu slices. They looked absolutely amazing when it was served to us, but man, did they taste bad. The tofu was really bad… I had one bite, and could not finish it. It looks like it was probably made with stale tofu – when I put my metal spoon into the tofu, instead of splitting in half into large chunks, it shattered into a lot of little pieces. I added all of the sweet syrup they gave me, and when I had my first bite, the tofu tasted sour instead of sweet. What the heck??? The egg pudding was slightly better – it was served hot, which was good, and the overall shape was pretty good – nothing crazy like the tofu when you dig into it with a spoon. But overall, the taste was pretty bland – not the sweetness I expected from a dessert Overall, I’d say pass on this place. Much better off visiting one of the many other restaurants and dessert places in the area

The potted plant tiramisu dish was dry. If it was moist like an actual tiramisu and tasted like one, it would have been better.

I wished this place was a little bigger to accomodate all the guests. There is around 3 small tables, able to seat 4 people each. Not a lot of standing/walking space which is a big nono for me. One cook for like 15 people in the shop… not ordering food items so I opted for a drink, which I regretted later. Looking at the menu, very colorful and extensive. Prices are ok to pricey. Had a «yogurt» drink here and it was just like what… It tasted like juice concentrate with these white balls that I am not sure what it is… I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt for the food items… But I really don’t want to come back here…
