All American Self Storage

Had to rent a small storage space here today. My friend (who has a chevy ½ ton truck) took my things there today & I signed the contract. Pat (who I believe is the manager or owner) runs this place like a well oiled machine. Lol.
Reasonsonable rates. Great customer service.

I’ve been a customer for four years. It’s an absolutely first class, customer service oriented business that far exceeds my expectations of what self-​storage is all about. It is amazingly clean and the friendly staff is always helpful — will loan you a hand truck, dolly or ladder to help get your stuff in and out. They even have fresh coffee and cookies! I moved out yesterday because I no longer need off-​site storage. I was actually sad to say goodbye to Manager Pat Hughes. But she said I can always stop in for coffee, cookies and a friendly word or two. Wish I could them them six stars!

Total great experience. Classy people, nice manager/​owner, Pat, and clean, safe facilities. I was truly surprised. This would be the only place I would go. Kept important things in storage and they stayed just as clean and perfect as I had them. CLEAN GREAT PLACE!

I love this place! I have had different storages units here over the past 20 years! They are very friendly and helpful! You never have to worry about the security of your unit, it is the safest storage facility I have ever had! This place is awesome!!!

Great place to store your belongings! Very clean and well maintained. They really pay attention to detail and take safety really serious.
If you sign up for a space– they go out of their way to provide you with the perfect storage space for your needs. Just ask them to give you a tour. Also if your storage needs change just talk to them as they will help you to move to a smaller/​larger space.
The staff is really nice, very friendly and helpful. Stop by in the front office on your way out and say hi to Pat, TJ or Matt.
Bring your own lock or purchase one in their office. They also have other packing material for purchase. The personal is also helpful when receiving a shipment that will be stored at All American Self Storage which is really helpful — it makes things sometimes easier.

I have been with a customer with All American for the last 10 years. Very clean friendly. Always helpful. Highly recommended if you need storage. The staff, facility and the security are all first class. Best storage place in the Peninsula. No doubt!

I *love* All American Self Storage. I have had my items ‘living’ there for nearly 8 years now. My personal items are safe and secure, and I feel confident that they will always be. When I looked into storage units 8 years ago, All American Self Storage had the best prices, and were the closest place to where I live, so it was a win-​win all around. Over the years I have down-​sized my storage needs, but keep my unit for holiday decorations, books, photo albums (yes, I still have photo albums), and miscellaneous clothing items I am not willing to part with.
I love knowing the units are monitored and the gate is locked with a key code. The owners are very professional, and give back to the community on a regular basis — i.e. Toys for Tots.
I have recommended this place to other people who have moved into the area and needed storage space, and will continue to recommend All American Self Storage to those who need storage solutions.

I have had a storage unit at all American self storage now for about three years. On the day I started doing business with them have had nothing but good things to say. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. I would recommend it to anyone.

I have been a customer with All American Self Storage for 4 years now. When I was in need of somewhere to store my stuff in a hurry they were right there for me. They explained all of the units to me showed me what was available and helped me decide what was best suited for my needs. Their hours are very convenient I have not experienced any problems since I have been a customer. Easy online payments, refer a friend and you both get $ 50 and if you pay before the 1^st you are entered into their monthly raffles. I haven’t won yet but I usually pay after the 1^st

My family and I have been customers of All American Self Storage for almost a decade and we couldn’t be happier with them. Their facility is clean and well kept and their staff has always been very helpful and accommodating. We are in the process of preparing to move out of state and coordinating shipping for our two storage units was pretty complicated based on how we are moving. After experiencing how accommodating these guys are and seeing how far they went out of their way for us, even though we are moving and will no longer be paying customers, I had to get on here and write a review for them. Hopefully we wont need storage units where we’re moving since we’ll actually be able to afford some square footage in our new home, unlike here in the Bay Area, but if we do, I hope the facility we find where we’re moving is as outstanding as All American Self Storage has been here.

I’m sad to say that I moved out today. I’m sad because I really enjoyed doing business with All American Self Storage and the staff there. I moved in about January 2013 after shopping around at a couple other places in the area. Their monthly rate was the lowest of the three places I called. When I went in to take a look at the available units, the front desk staff was top notch — super friendly and professional. Another reviewer said that the people there really care about their customers and their experience, and that was absolutely true for me.
They always have some positive uplifting signage out on 3^rd Ave. Today’s message was «Celebrate Life». They change up the sign once in a while. I also found out that they send care packages to some of their customers around the holidays. The front desk guy gave me one when I expressed interest. It was a big envelope with a ton of awesome uplifting poems and positive philosophical messages about life.
Anyways, I’m bummed that I have to part ways mostly because I wish all businesses were run like theirs.
I know some of what I’m saying sounds ridiculous since this is a storage facility — you get your unit, you move in, and that’s about it. It’s just that I spent a bit of time chatting up the staff the few times I’ve been in the office. They’re just awesome good people.
I saw Todd’s review and there’s NO WAY based on my experience that what he’s saying could be an accurate account of what happened. If you go in and meet the staff or phone them and talk to them, you’ll know right away that you’re dealing with stellar top-​notch people. They’re not just nice to you when you’re shopping around for a storage unit. They’re the type that are consistently kind because that’s just the kind of people they are. And, I just remembered that I saw a sign out front that they were awarded 2013 Small Business of the Year from the San Mateo Chamber of Commerce. Another reviewer said they also won 2012 as well.
If the location works for you, there’s no way you could go wrong with All American. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. :)
One more thing, contrary to what Inigo’s review says, their gate closes at 9PM. They open at 7AM. They have some of the longest access hours of any storage place I checked out.

This is a great place. Very friendly staff — I was taken care of by Matt at the office.
I reserved a unit and came by on a Sunday afternoon to sign the paperwork. We were done in 15 mins. Place is clean. Secure with alarms in each unit.

Clearly the owners take pride in their facility. It’s always clean. Nicest bathrooms in a storage facility I’ve seen. Customer service is great. They are always available and ready to help. The carts and dollies are in good condition and placed around the unit. I’ve moved about 40 minutes away and continue to use this facility.

I first visited All American 5 years ago and I don’t think you will find a more professional or helpful staff any place! The property is well-​lit, secure and amazingly clean. I have to admit, I also love the family feel — cookies and other yummies in the office. I think the staff work hard to keep out any riff-​raff. That just increases the place another notch in my esteem. I wouldn’t store my stuff anywhere else.

No problems so far. Decently sized unit, generally clean. Free dolly use. But beware early gate closing (8 pm).

Ok I can’t believe there are no reviews for this place this is not your ordinary storage place. The people that work and own this facility truly care about your experience, when you walk into the office there are goodies like coffee and cookies to candy, TV and even internet access for the die hard tech junky. The rates are competitive and they have many units that you can drive right up to. The place is clean and every unit in the place has an alarm on it so you know your treasures are safe. Highly recommend this for storing stuff or to have a large place to run a small business.
