History
Established in 1985.
Bill Kenney and E.D. Nuckels bought the property in 1977 before establishing All American in 1985. At the time, the self storage industry was in it’s infancy. But, these two gentlemen saw that Foster City, San Mateo, Burlingame and Hillsborough had limited land to grow. That meant that if you wanted to stay here and not stuff your house to the gills, storage might be an option for you.
Though Bill and E.D. were pioneers in the self storage business, our facility today is very modern and up to date, easily competing with more recently built ones. In fact, that allows us to have far more drive-up units than our competitors and have one of the largest selection of sizes around.
Today, Bill is the general manager with E.D. having passed away in 1998. Both families continue to be heavily involved in making All American a leading business in the San Mateo-area.
