Cabinets and Beyond

Cabinets and Beyond has wonderful product and super helpful people. Tanya was so helpful in explaining the best layout, how to size our cabinets and what features we needed. She made it the easiest part of our remodel. We’ve been happy with our gorgeous bathroom for years now. We have also seen other projects she has worked on. She is truly an artist! We will definitely work with her again.

Their cabinets is great quality. We have their Bellmont painted white cabinets installed over 3 years ago and we decided to remodel our house but kept the kitchen. By remodel, I mean we demolished the entire house at the beginning of Feb 2015, left my kitchen cabinets on the walls, built plywood walls around them, then wrapped the plywood with tarp and waterproofing membrane. The only thing left in my entire house was the kitchen. That kitchen went through weather changes and the entire construction process. They took the plywood box apart a couple of months ago and just covered the cabinets with plastic to avoid getting paint on them. My house is about done now, painted and all. The contractor took the plastic off today and my kitchen cabinets looked exactly how they were 8 months ago!!! No crack on the doors, no decoloring, nothing! They are PERFECT!!! So I just want to give a shout out to them since the quality of the cabinets have been proven :)
Also, I should have Unilocaled 3 years ago that their staff and everyone that I interacted with there are super nice and very professional and accommodating. I was dissatisfied with something at the end of the project — not sure if it was their fault or mine with the order (probably mine). I was agitated with living in a construction zone with an 8 months old baby and a 2 yr old kid and was really stressed out. They definitely made life easier for me by replacing the product in question at the time without hesitation. 2 thumbs up for making a mom’s life easier!
I would recommend Cabinets and Beyond. With this current construction, if my contractor didn’t come with a cabinet guy, I would have definitely used them again.

Snooty, snooty, snooty! I came for an appointment with Doug today and he was running late with another client. Instead of mentioning that he might be a little late and ask if I would mind waiting, his comment to me when I arrived (wearing work out clothes and with my daughter and mother) was ‚“You aren’t in a hurry, are you?” like I have nothing else to do but wait for him since his other client was clearly much more important. He didn’t try to hurry and didn’t even apologize when he was continuing into my appointment time. His comment was, «We’re almost done. We’re just going to do a few more things…» Don’t come here if you want good customer service and respect!

For months, since we started remodeling our home, I’ve sworn up and down to write a Unilocal review for either a horrendous experience or an amazing one for various companies, contractors, and vendors. Doug Mallon deserves my first rave review!
First off, we initially visited the Cabinets and Beyond in SF, seeing as though we live in SF. We made an appt with Jamie. She was nice, but she was working on some ginormous multi unit apartment bathroom project and basically said «well, I can TRY to squeeze in a proposal for you next week…» Our 3 bathrooms may not be a big deal in the scheme of things but it is our home where we live and its HUGE deal to us. We want to pay someone who understands that and treats us accordingly. We don’t blame her for being busy, but that’s just not the service level we were looking for.
6 cabinet stores later, we decided, let’s GTFO of this city and go outside where our business is appreciated. We just walked in on a random Saturday and talked with Doug. He was SO friendly and helpful. He got us a detailed proposal within the next few days, including several design iterations in between. He is incredibly patient, made great suggestions, and has a sense of urgency. If you are remodeling, you know contractors are the worst communicators on the planet earth, so having someone like Doug, who responds immediately, and with substance and honesty, is a freaking god send.
Even though we had a tiny snag and one of our cabinets was 1 week delayed, Doug kept on top of it and figured out what the issue was and kept us posted down to the minute.
Also I need to mention the pricing was excellent and the quality is beautiful. We had a bid from FloorCraft using the same designs/​plans and cabinet maker (omega) and it was double the price that Cabinets and Beyond gave us.
When our installer cancelled last minute because of the flu, Doug contacted 2 installers for us, one of which we ended up using (they were able to install over 4^th of July weekend with 2 days notice!)
Doug is a shining star in this shit pile of people I had to work with in our remodeling project. We couldn’t have done this without him!

I was just about to write a review, and then I read the reviews posted by Alex C. and RV. They said it all. Olga was great. I would also add that, when a glitch came up with the fabrication of our countertop material, Olga immediately suggested a reasonable alternative. As it turned out, the problem wasn’t as bad as we thought so the original design remained. (She quickly located a second matching slab for us!) Olga has great sense of style and color. In fact, we were away and left her to pick the paint colors.
We used Dynasty semi custom cabinets and are thrilled with them.

The end result was Simply This; Everything was Much Better than we Had Imagined! WOW! We are «Over-​the-​Top Happy with Everything that Yuriy did for Me and My Husband to Give Us The Kitchen of Our Dreams! Also, Yuriy gave Us amazing Follow Thru and was «Always Available» to Us for All of Our Questions and Concerns!

My Husband and I happen to catch this place by driving by on El Camino.
Doug was the only one in on a Sunday. …Fast forward 3 – 4 meeting later he helped my DREAM KITCHEN come to life.
He was able to collaborate my needs and my husbands to create an amazing kitchen.
The details and suggestions he made really made functional and economical sense.
I felt we got what we paid for. The design he created worked out great for us.
Though we went above our budget I really feel we got a quality kitchen!
The process was easy and he was there to guide us throughout the entire process.

They were able to draw up a design draft for us. Speak to Doug Mallon. He was pretty helpful. Showroom a bit small.

Recently I decided to remodel my old kitchen. I contacted several kitchen showrooms and decided to go with Cabinets and Beyond. Their price was very competitive and Olga, the designer who helped me always responded to my questions. She took me through a design process and created a very comfortable and appealing kitchen taking my budget to consideration. Besides helping with cabinets Olga helped to pick a countertop and a tile that looks awesome with my new kitchen cabinets. Even though not everything went through smoothly as I hoped for, Olga was there every step of the way, following up and answering mine and the contractor’s questions. It was my first kitchen remodeling project and I’m glad I had Olga to rely on. I definitely recommend.

This place has great customer service and very fair prices. I worked directly with Olga, who designed a beautiful kitchen for me. She took the time to explain everything to me and introduce the various options I could go with. I also appreciated her working with me to stay within my budget. I love my new kitchen and would recommend Cabinets & Beyond to anyone else wishing to remodel theirs!

AMAZING! I have nothing but good things to say about this place!!!
I needed to remodel my kitchen (because it looked like the 1970’s) and went to kitchen designer Olga Volok to help make my kitchen dreams come true. I told her the style I wanted and she drew up a plan better than I could have ever thought. Her dedication to making my kitchen really impressed me, but when my kitchen was finally completed, I was beyond satisfied with the work done. Olga is great to work with and I recommended all my friends and co-​workers to go to her when they need a new kitchen!
